Yes it’s still worth it. It’s a good phone that’s decently quick for basic tasks like social media and YouTube. I would replace the battery with an ifixit kit for $24 and an amazon screen replacement for about $40. It is old though so don’t get it fixed by Apple as the total would be more than $160. Don’t be intimidated by doing it yourself, it’s not as hard as you’d think.

I used B6000 glue. I used this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/4TNdrXQkzU0
And these are the tools I bought, which came WITH the glue as well: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MGSTJK1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_K4YCN3A3PWJJ8NQM8J72?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I will update how it holds!
This phone has been solid for me too. Gave it a second life recently with a new screen and battery. It's as good as new and real easy to fix. Use this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MGSTJK1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_56DZ8SSPP3ANCZM2SP9H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

of course. apple would charge $199

a local cell phone store could do it cheaper

or, you could try to do it yourself, there are tons of videos out there:

Screen replacement went well, you also need some double sided tape or something to hold the new screen in place, it will move out of the screen bezel and you can see light that escapes from the edge of the screen. I used some clear silicone to hold it in place and if I need to replace it again I'll still be able to remove it.
I also lost my volume rocker button when I replaced my screen, so be careful of that. The battery was really stuck down and I couldn't pull out the adhesive so with patience and prying I eventually got the battery out without damaging it.
The new screen is also polarized 90° rotated from the original screen. This only affects you if you use your phone while wearing polarized sunglasses. With the OEM screen it looked dark in landscape, but with the replacement screen it looks dark in portrait mode. This is a pain because general usage (phone calls, general screen navigation, etc) is usually in portrait mode.
Here is the screen I bought. $47 from Amazon, and free shipping.
If you want to do it yourself, please follow iFixIt's instructions.
Replace your screen with this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JETJXHY/
I did it the other day and it took me less than an hour though I would recommend having a better set of tools. The tools included would work but it will be easier with better tools. There are other cheaper screens out there but this is a good compromise. By doing this you'll instantly raise the value of your phone
Yeah that's something I would definitely do.
I have a guy I text to send me screens and I'm trying to buy in bulk but for you honestly use
or
You can't go wrong with either one.
Amazon usually has a better customer service. I've gotten duds from amazon and they're usually good about refunding even if they are not the supplier. With eBay it's much more difficult process and I don't know if you have an account or PayPal. eBay screens can vary immensely. I've gotten $20 screens from eBay that have been extremely good replacements and paid $20 for very bad quality replacements. Best bet is amazon.
