Get a coupe of those 4 foot high aluminum poles with an orange reflector on the top.
We have those. My neighbor keeps them in bulk in his garage. They're hard to see in the video because they face the road, but they regularly get broken by incidents like this.
I'm not talking about installing real light assemblies. The nose would still be a solid piece with decal headlights, but with thin led strip panels in the place where the DRL is located on the decal so that it lights up. Honestly just some basic things. Upgrade the sound system to better enjoy your tunes. Get a basic set of coilovers and a decent set of wheels you like the looks of and that alone will transform the look of the car. Invest in a good set of tires and brakes pads and you'll be impressed at just how much better a car will feel through the corners with that alone.
No matter what can I own it gets at minimum a basic treatment of wheels, tires, and some lowering.
If it's a stick find a nice gear job you like the looks of and throw it in.
Buy a Broadway mirror to give you some better rear visibility.
Want a little flair at night but not obvious during the day? Get some reflective rim tape
Have a favorite band or anime or something like that? Part of a club or organization? Get a small decal for it and put it on one of the windows.
Just use your imagination really.

Add to that a few collapsible traffic cone triangles that you can set down at 50 feet, 100 feet, and 150 feet intervals behind your broken down car to create a shoulder and warn other drivers of your broken down vehicle ahead.
