This is the one my wife got for me off of Amazon, preordered it the day it went live lol. I think it has all the art from S1 plus a ton of other interesting visual stuff; they have some layouts for their camera pathing within the 3D environments, pretty neat that it's included but it's also a big part of how they plan out each episode/scene.
When the show started my wife loved the concept art so much I made her a fun 'concept art' book snagging a bunch of whatever art I could find off of Favreau's twitter and throwing it into a nice Shutterfly photo book. Nowhere near as complete as the official one though :)
May I also suggest this book I co-authored on the visual history of Dungeons & Dragons. Something in it for fans of all generations! Happy Holidays!
You should pick up Art & Arcana, a new book of historical D&D art. It’s full of great works like this.
>What's the name of the book/guide?
Dive into Monster Hunter World.
>Is this book available on Amazon or online?
>In what languages can I get it?
English and Japanese.
>How much does it cost?
Depends on your currency.
>How much content does it have?
Over 500 pages.
>Is it helpful for understanding the world of MH?
Specifically the New World. It adds context behind near enough every action, fleshes out each monster's ecology, adds backstory etc.
>Would you say is worth it?
Yes.
>How recent is it?
Original release was early 2019 so it has all of World's updates but nothing on Iceborne.
>How would you rate it as a MH player?
9/10. It's a big book of MH knowledge but a book that size being paperback dramatically lowers how durable it is. There's stories of people opening it for the first time and pages fall out.
> But the ironic thing is making people invest in a story is the key to selling merchandise. That's what I think at least
As a fan of these webcomics and The Art of Magic artbooks, I have some bad news: lore-related products (including novels) don't last long.
The lore is like the complimentary salad that comes with a steak dinner. You can't "make" people "invest" in a story, especially if they're here for the "unregulated stock market" aspect of the physical cardboard or MTGO versions of the game. When WotC wants to push sales, they'll stick fetchlands into the product.
Not sure who did the art—not at home now, but if you like dnd art check out this book on Amazon. Basically covers the history of the game from when Gygax and co. were doing medieval battle rules to the 5.0. For an old dude it sure brought back a bunch of memories. https://www.amazon.com/Dungeons-Dragons-Art-Arcana-History/dp/0399580948/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Art+of+dungeons+and+dragons&qid=1613000248&sr=8-2
I can try to get it. But it may be sold out, so if you look on a search engine I'm sure somewhere else will be selling as well.
Yea they're on Amazon
That's the Art Book which is the first. The second book will be an encyclopedia of sorts and isn't up for preorder yet. And we don't know what the third book will be, but should be out this year.
I didn't have any preorders and got in line at Best Buy at 5:15 yesterday. I easily got a console and couldn't help but buy this cool picture book because Best Buy matched Amazon from $39.99 down to $23.99! They didn't have any Breath of the Wild Special Editions. I was disappointed because I really wanted that case. I just bought the regular one anyway, resigned to not having it.
Luckily, I'm too old for all-nighters anymore, so I went straight to bed when I got home. I decided when I woke up to check some local Targets and one nearby said they had one left. They said they wouldn't hold it so I drove like a maniac, ran to the electronics department, and snagged it. Since I never opened the regular game, I can just return that to Best Buy. I can't wait to get started with some Zelda now!
Dungeons and Dragons Art and Arcana is down to $22.92 right now on Amazon. Use the code novbook18 to get another $5 off.

Not youtube, but BannedDino is a Twitter account dedicated to sharing all sorts of tidbits on the lore of each of the monsters and the MH universe in general. They've also just got their hands on the English version of the Official Complete Works book for MHW, so a lot of interesting stuff is popping up. If you're willing to fork over $40, you can check out the book yourself.
I couldnt agree more. No other anime deserves this much love. Also, if u enjoyed Der Mond by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, i would recommend also picking up a copy of Evangelion Illustrations 2007-2017 by Khara.
Pretty cheap on amazon:
Evangelion Illustrations 2007-2017 (Neon Genesis Evangelion) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1974707032/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nLOyFb7VTJN76
Most of these things you'll find out later down the line.
The last question though, if you really want to get into the History of Randland, it's touched on here and there in the books but there is The Wheel of Time Companion but that may be a little spoilery. I did own The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time which I found to be awesome, and if it has much spoilers, it was published in '97 so wouldn't spoil too much. It does have great stuff on the History of Randland though.
The Big White Book (of Bad Art) is also known as The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time.
It's basically a world compendium featuring art and background on a bunch of the world, including stuff that RJ had written down that never made it into the series. But as people pointed out to me, it probably might contain spoilers up to ACoS.
Most notably, it contains some Age of Legends details that never really get time in the books, like backstories on Forsaken like Aginor and Balthamel that we didn't see for long enough to learn anything about. World details that just didn't fit in the series as a whole. Very handily, art for the various exotic critters that the Seanchan Empire use as mounts/beasts of burden and some details on the hierarchy of the Empire that are quite interesting but not plot-relevant or explored in-series.
Also, once you finish the series, later this year Harriet McDougal (RJ's widow) is releasing The Wheel of Time Companion, which aims to be a comprehensive piece along the same vein, and which will (sniff) probably be the last published piece of original/new WoT that we ever see.
Also, I have no idea who coined the term Superfade, but it's both much easier to refer to than Shaidan Haran and pretty much perfectly appropriate.
When I'm doing my own maps I approach it from the perspective of creating a Photoshop map. (I hand draw my maps, but sometimes do pictures in Photoshop).
I would draw out the outline of the map with no details and examine it for a while, tweaking it. (In PS this would be layer 1). Then I add rivers, mountains (PS layer 2). Then other areas like bogs, forests, and such. (Layer 3)Then cities and other habitations (PS layer 4).
All these layers are eventually merged.
In short, build up the map in stages. This enables a better idea of where everything goes and helps avoid clutter. It's so easy to get carried away making maps.
A great book I'd recommend is: https://www.amazon.com/How-Draw-Fantasy-Art-Maps/dp/1440340242
I hope you get the ideas. And apologies if you're not familiar with Photoshop.
I think the 4 Against Darkness are available on Amazon, but not the D100 dungeons. Amazon’s chunk is pretty sizable for single-person book developers I believe.
If you’re really looking purely for map making, there are a ton of YouTube videos you can check out too. There are also a bunch of results on Amazon for “how to draw fantasy maps, like this result”
I know some of them were collected in the art book Evangelion Illustrarions 2007-2017
It’s got a lot of neat artwork, a lot of it from the store/webpages and all of the numerous ad campaigns
They said:

It's a book, but there are multiple in the Final Fantasy series. The Remake in particular seems to have a few of them in Japan.
The English copy of one of them just came out and you can get a copy on Amazon:

This comes out December 28th in the USA. So those posts might have something to do with it. I don’t have Facebook so I can’t check out their page.
> instead of the comfy artwork created over the years by book fans
I have an encyclopedia book with pictures, so there exists even official artwork of the characters.

Says it won't release until Dec 28 which is a weird time to release anything, but at least it's being translated!
I bought The World of Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time and liked it way back when. Haven’t cracked it open in a few decades.
