I took a gamble on a set of stamped aluminum plates on Amazon. Couldn't find alot of information on them, but decide it was worth the risk given it was through Amazon.
Rival was the company name that showed up.
After seeing that, I was able to find more info on them and the company, seem to be Euro centric, and these plates where made in Russia.
Edit theses are them: if you want some actual pictures let me know. https://www.amazon.com/RIVAL-23333-1855-1-6-K-Aluminum-Plate-Compatible/dp/B08GKKG7H7/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=13GFO117K0A8B&dchild=1&keywords=f150+skid+plate&qid=1632088588&sprefix=f150+skid+p&sr=8-7
Oh, 2018 with fiberboard panels? Get aluminium skid plates and install them yourself or local mechanic. I have mine in garage ready, ordered them before I learned the plastic ones they started using after 2018 are better quality and last longer.
I’ve seen this one mentioned on Reddit a few times. I keep it bookmarked in case I ever want to buy it.

Pretty easy to do your self...but shouldnt take someone with the tools more than 15minutes to do.
This is the one i installed but you can find others with a quick google search:
For anyone not aware install this, or something similar ASAP:

Huge weakness with the battery cables exposed in that area that large fast moving objects can easily penetrate the fiber/plastic protection Tesla provides for protection.

seems to have some supply chain issues these days....
Same happened to me...up here in colorado Rocks on the road are very common and they destroy the felt shield...if that's the case for you i'd recommend getting this:

just a little more and no worried about damage again...very easy to install yourself....
RPMTESLA was always back ordered. I purchased this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B097XTYV4R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_ROo1wOtQhEl8m and it worked out well. I watched one too many videos, while waiting for delivery, of some debris popping up in the back and damaging a coolant line. I figured it was cheap protection.
You can order a whole new frame for less than that.
Or you can orderthese and find a buddy/guy that can weld them in after you do some prep work.
If the price is over $200, I’d opt for these. The visible damage appears to come from the flimsy underbody panels. Replacing those panels with something more stout will prevent that type of damage. Based on the couple of pictures, there isn’t any visible battery damage.
yeah they used to use a felt material there that would get torn by ice/rocks, horrible design...i replaced it with this, been solid but only downside is it is quite a bit heavier: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q7T6NFG/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There’s a skid plate that matches this bumper that looks great and way better than the stock plastic. I have this on mine: EAG Skid Plate Fit for Bumper JJKFB001 / JJKFB036 Fit for 07-18 Wrangler JK https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0772M1WCY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GGmNFbNEKNABJ
Bad news though is that the bumper has to come off to attach.
Thank you so much for the reply! This is super helpful! And damn you were right, you did take some damage in Hell's Revenge!
The hitch mounted skid looks super helpful, can't believe I hadn't heard of these yet. Which one do you have/do you recommend? The WarFabInc or the Amazon? I kind of like how the Amazon one also functions as a step.
I ordered the RCI sliders (ordered 9/9, hoping they come before mid-November), but I was thinking about picking up their "under body armor kit", too, or at least some pieces of it. Do you have any experience/would you recommend those?
Lastly, I'm fairly new to off-roading (I've been to Moab once but rented a kitted out Wrangler, can't remember which trails we did though) and haven't done anything in the Taco yet. Are there any "beginner" or barely intermediate trails in or around Moab?
