Depends on the original source, but generally you can use something like the dazzle to plug the output of the source into the input of the adapter, then play on the source and record on your computer.
There is a kindle version app for laptop that you can download from the Amazon website.
This is the link for downloading it:
Hope you find it useful!
I have to wonder how many people using Sony Vegas actually paid for it...
Anyway, if you want something affordable get Sony Movie Studio Platinum. I picked it up on sale for about $45 on Amazon but it's not much more than that regular price. It's like a Vegas light and does everything I need.
For less messy amazon links you can extract the part after "/dp/" in
and make it:
Plz send any recommendations via PM
You can still buy legit copies on Amazon, NewEgg or probably from brick-and-mortar stores if there is anything near you.
Found this yesterday. Works fine on my Surface Go.
For Amazon you will need to download their PC Client and link your account.
Other stores have other restrictions and the only store that offer DRM-Free (meaning that you can read at your browser without any issue) is J-Novel Club. However you have to subscribe to their service before being allowed to buy the e-books.
Well you start by playing it and getting better. As for capture cards, I think this is the one folks used to use. Pretty decent for any SD capture needs.
Also, you don't need any of those instructions. Just click here...My first comment was correct. There is Kindle for PC and Mac.
I'm not the OP, but when you go to amazon.com, on the listing for the book, there is a button on the right hand side of the page where you "purchase" it. Use the pulldown menu right below the button to choose 'transfer via computer' before "buying" the book. I'm pretty sure you should be able to then use this to read it on your computer:
Hope this helps.
You'll be fine, but why purchase from Amazon for $124 when you can just get it directly from MS for $120?
Replace this text with your answer
(Sorry, I'm a dick)
Amazon USB or Amazon CD, both of which come with product codes. Or you can just buy it off of the official Windows 10 store. Go to Activation in the settings
Sold by Microsoft on Amazon, you can get it cheaply or legitimately and due to the rules of the subreddit I can only recommend getting it legitimately
Go to Amazon, and buy it and the product key will be available when you download it.
You don't need a Kindle! You can download Amazon's Kindle software for PC or Mac for free and read it on your computer. It should be pretty good on a computer [link]
You can also just buy Window 10 on a USB stick.
Windows 10 USB on Amazon
ELI5 these cheap windows 10 home and pro keys please.
There's a few "key only" listings on Amazon which are rather tempting as main retail Windows 10 is a bit pricey.
Mike's has it on sale for $120.
For some reason, Amazon is listing the retail version of Windows 10 Pro for the same price, but I'm a bit suspicious because that is more than 50% off the regular price, and Microsoft doesn't offer promotions, so either they're losing about $120 on each copy sold, or there's something weird going on with that listing.
The good news is that there is a kindle reader available for download to a computer and kindle apps for phones that you can look up.
For the PC version.
I download their app and use that on my phone if that helps. If you search for Kindle app it should come up.
Also, I think this is for PC: [link]
I haven't used that but it might work for you. Hope that helps!
I don't get this when plugging the VCR into a TV. Don't get this when playing the tape in a TV that has a built in VCR, but I do when I have the VCR plugged into an EasyCap I bought on Amazon.
I'm assuming it's because it's a dog shit capture card? I ordered a Dazzle on Amazon just in case. Trying to do this on a bit of a budget. Don't want to break the bank
My pleasure! :) You can download Kindle for PC and read it on your computer. Amazon.com: Kindle for PC [Download]: Software
I was looking at buying Windows 10 Home for a new PC, but I saw two different versions on Amazon.
One that was "Windows 10 Home"
and one that was cheaper called "OEM Windows 10 Home"
What's the difference?
>Could it double as a kindle?
Yes, there are various eBook reader solutions for Windows. However, Amazon does not provide a touch-friendly Kindle app for Windows. For a Kindle user this leaves two alternatives:
The Amazon Kindle for PC (desktop) app, which is mouse+keyboard oriented
My preferred option: Kindle Cloud Reader installed as an app using Microsoft Edge (a surprisingly decent experience).
Yes its a digital code with no usb. Amazon just sells it then the download comes from microsoft. There is no mention in the description whether its lifetime, retail, upgrade etc. Link
Thanks for the quick replies, I greatly appreciate it. So I just checked and there is only 9 left in stock and they are “Sold by GeGe Store and Fulfilled by Amazon”. I have never heard of this GeGe store not once in my life. Heres a link to the product. Windows 10 Does this matter or am I still good?
Yes, amazon has a free Kindel program for PC and Mac. Here's a link for their download: [link]
I've used the PC version and while it wouldn't be my first choice for reading it's excellent for searching through books.
Here are links to both Home and Pro. Once you buy it the key will (eventually) show up in your games and software library on amazon.
Microsoft Windows 10 Home | Download [link]
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro | Download [link]
I'm not sure what you mean by "Kindle website." Do you mean browsing Amazon for ebooks to purchase?
The Kindle app is something different. You can install the app on your PC to read ebooks that way. To read fanfiction ebooks in the app you just need to copy the ebook files to the correct folder on your PC.
Here's a guide on how to do that if you like: [link]
I would agree with your advice, but Amazon is an authorized retailer:
Windows 10 Home on Amazon
I just found this on Amazon:
This must be legit, right?
You can purchase a Windows 10 license directly from Amazon, with instant download: Amazon
You can also just download and install direct from windows, and use the evaluation mode free for 30 days, till you get a key: How to Download Windows 10 Installation Media - How To Geek
My only problem with the Winnow Videum 1000 AV Plus is that it is out of stock, unless you know somewhere where the sell them. With that being said, would a Dazzle converter work or an Elgato do what you have said in your comment
is windows 10 a good choice?
Are you saying that Kindle doesn't work on your computer? [link]
What about google play books? [link]
Kindle and Google's e-reader both work on PC just fine. Just order the book on there. I recommend ordering through Amazon because they will give you the Kindle version for free until you receive your book.
>Dazzle DVC 100
Is this the same thing or are they different?
Super long amazon link.
Hey fyi, u can read Kindle books even without a Kindle. If you have a tablet, you can download the Kindle app and read there. Works on mobile phones as well. On PC (Windows/Mac), you have to install the program. Might be handy since there are many ebooks exclusive to Amazon. Lmk if u have questions.
About Endless Possibility, I read this 2 years ago and the plot is hazy to me now lol. I remember that I loved it and it was mostly about Noah's solo adventure in Europe while they were separated in Rush. Just imagine how difficult it is when a recently blind man travels to several cities on his own. He was mugged at one time and it was his lowest point. Rush ended when they were reunited in Austria(?) but EP went further and told the story of how he proposed. It didn't go exactly as planned and he was hospitalized. They returned to New York and maybe travelled some more?
They got married then had a baby. I remember getting emotional when Noah was "seeing" the 3D ultrasound. Lastly, I appreciate that Noah's blindness wasn't miraculously cured at the end.
> (Edit) i just talked to them they told me that the format is from BIOS itself, when i asked why could my SSD get slower, he said i had a very weak SSD. Last thing they said they didnt use a legal way because it costs about 400$ (i paid 50$)
You cannot format in the bios of a motherboard. Period. They are lying.
Windows is about 100$ for the home version, they are not allowed to sell/install illegal software. They do this because there is no cost to them so they make 100% profit from stolen software. You should never pay for illegal software, it didn't cost them anything.
Just telling you it's 400$ is a big lie. 129$ on amazon for a legit copy of windows 10 home [link]
A ssd won't get slower, it will be the same speed as the day you bought it. The hardware specifications of the drive cannot change over time.
you can download kindle's reading app to your pc.
here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Digital-Services-LLC-Download/dp/B00UB76290
generally i find kindle the be the easiest way to read on pc but you have a lot of options and sites to choose from.
my suggestion is to look at youtube reviews and actually see what it looks like before purchasing.
Ok that's what I wasn't quite understanding when I was reading the other articles - So when I plug everything in, go through BIOS, etc., I should still be able to boot up and access all of my files? If so, that's fantastic!
One question I have after reading that link though is it says "In short, you can move this license to another PC, but not indefinitely." Are they saying that I can't just do this for an unlimited amount of computers or are they saying once activated on another device, it won't last forever?
BTW when I bought the OS, I bought the USB flash drive version on Amazon. I'll have to dig and see if I still have the USB.
i don't know if it helps but its $10 cheaper on amazon
Kindle for PC?
It seems to be happening for me too. Weird.
I don't know if you need it immediately, but you can buy a key and download from Amazon digitally and still get the same price and nearly immediate key.
Here's regular Windows 10 home. Non-OEM or anything so still all the usual transfer capabilities if you have to install it on a new PC later down the road or something.
Dazzle VHS to DVD converter still in the box, unopened. Got it off amazon for $63, I'll let go of it for $50.
I use Dazzel. It's sold for under fifty bucks and it comes with a disk and no regular payments. It works great but as you now it's a real time down load - takes the same about of time to down load as it took to record it. I'm just keeping my search active for something that works faster. I guess we're not there yet. Thank you for your response. [link]
So I will be receiving all the parts for my build by the end of today, EXCEPT for my Windows 10, which will arrive on the weekend. Is there a way for me to start installing and updating Windows before it gets here?
The Win 10 I bought is this one:
If you've got a PC of some sort right now, and a USB drive that's minimum of 8GB, you can make your own bootable USB and use any Windows key, no matter if it comes with a disk or a USB drive.
So from what I am reading you have a 32 bit version of windows 10/8 so if you want to play the game you may need to get a 64 bit version of windows 10/8 [link] windows 10 pro is on sale right know for cheaper than the standard edition of windows also you may want to check the minimum specs list on steam and make sure you are above those I’ll give you a link here [link]
try lowering or raising the hz on the capture card. I use amarec and too high will make it delay too low will make a crackling sound. I use dazzzle capture card and it has those options you can mess with in amarec. flickering screen idk for me it's a deinterlacing method but hdmi usually doesn't need to do that cause it's on 720p/1080p not 720/1080i. so idk about that part. also voicemeeter will do that audio problem if hz in settings isn't high enough. hope this helps. sorry i couldn't help more than that. I've only done so much tinkering with those programs. never tried hdmi capture card. can't afford it. good luck.
dazzle capture card it's not hd but it works and is cheap. amarec to preview it. setup live inside of it. use 32bit version of obs and it should work. only 32bit version works for some reason. hope this helps
That's true there's no optical drive slot but I think you can just use this [link]
Or create your own usb with the windows 10 installer and activate windows later
If you're talking about actually buying a legitimate key, you can get them from Amazon or Newegg, but you could also spend about the same amount of cash on a newer refurb Dell or HP business machine and get better performance, lower power consumption, and hardware with more life left in it.
The first thing that sticks out for me is the ram, it's no longer available for that price. The cheapest 16gb price/performance kit is probably the one in my build. If you look a bit harder, you may be able to find a slightly better deal though.
The psu is also kind of iffy, as a general rule of thumb, you should budget around 10% of your whole build for the psu. The evga g3 650w is perfect for it.
The cpu, and are okay, if you want to go the ryzen route.
The gpu is also not available, but there is good news, you can get a 1070 ti for a little bit more if you can stretch your budget. If not, probably get the 1060 in the build I already made.
You can go with the ryzen cpu and mobo to save like ~$160 or so, and the gtx 1060 to save another $200. edit: or get some other 1070. Also I do recommend getting the aftermarket cpu cooler I included in the build, it will help with temps and be quieter.
edit2: if you have to get a windows license, buy the pro one from amazon. It's $6 more and you can turn off most of the privacy invading stuff with it. [link]
23db is very very quiet. However, db is not really the best unit for that, since it does not cover noises that are subjective for humans more annoying. Though to my knowledge phones are very bad at measuring noise levels.
1920x1200 you can treat like 1080p, if you don't know your refresh rate it will be 60Hz. More only exists since a short time in regular displays.
You are right, the regular english version is missing (though there is one with an USB stick). [link] is a regular and easy to install version.
> do you have a very rough approximation on what shipping might be on all that?
$10 for the psu, unkown for the case, rest seems to be free. Note that the case is only available to prime members for that price, but that alone should almost make it worth it. Note also that the ram price is not accurate, the price on newegg rose to $245. [link] is an alternative, cheaper offer.
I'm about to build my first PC... I don't plan on installing an optical drive on it, but I can use the item below and simply plug it into the USB drive and boot the PC to install Windows 10 right?
So what do you think of this deal? [link]
This one looks like sold by 3rd party which seems risky
Anything that is not the OEM version is the non-OEM version.
Just look for the version that doesn't say OEM.
Here it is on Amazon
or On premade flash drive if you prefer
I noticed Amazon.ca had a cheaper price than Staples did a while ago.
Looking now, I guess the home edition went up, but the Pro edition seems to be $149, which is actually what I paid for a home edition flash drive.
I confirmed that it's set to UEFI.
For the USB, I bought one like this one with windows installed on it. I'm guessing it would be bad to delete everything on that, right?
But those keys are not legitimate and Microsoft deactivates them as soon as they find out about them. It is in violation of the Terms Of Service.
This listing is legit: [link]
The cheapest legitimate listing is $80 currently.
Hi buildapc! I'm building my new pc this weekend and I need to purchase windows. Is there any special way I have to get W10 on my pc?
I planned on doing the USB Flash drive version of W10 Home but I wanted to double check this method since this is my first build! Thanks!
(this one! [link])
1 more link
Good to know. For this build it looks like I'd be good to have Windows 10 ready to install on a USB as there will be no disk drive (which I'm OK with). This looks like what I would need.
If you bought an optical drive
Alternatively, you could use options suggested by /u/Scooter30, or purchase a Windows 10 USB w/key from places such as Amazon
Here, try this
managed to fit a 1060, faster hard drive, more efficient PSU, slightly cheaper windows 10 from amazon, and a cheaper case (but this one can change based on your preferences)
*edit: link to windows 10 [link]
I don't think the USB version is that much more expensive than the OEM version. For like $115, it's definitely worth it.
Just buy a spare USB and use Media Creation Tool to get Windows 10 on it.
If you want to go the way OP went, that USB shown in the picture can be bought here Do note that it can be an old version, since Windows 10 does pretty big updates from now and then, so you might need to instantly update it when you install it. Going the Media Creation Tool way would avoid this.
The only thing that I would use the optical drive for is for installing windows 10 but if I used this [link] could i get rid of the optical drive?
What country are you in? I'm not sure about other regions, but the Windows 10 Pro USB goes on sale every now and then for about $120 on Amazon Canada (it's normally $250, currently $146). That's less than the price of the standard edition. Just make sure it's either sold or fulfilled by Amazon
It should be more expensive but if you fine it cheaper that's good. You basically looking for Windows 10 with the lack of OEM in the description.
OEM is original equipment manufacturer and the idea it's a version for system builders that are selling the final product.
You want something like this. Or just a download if you don't want the stick.
$110 on Amazon vs $120 from MS... so $10 is $10
If you have a computer, you can use any USB drive to make your own.
I don't know if you can buy Windows 10 on a USB without purchasing a key to go along with it if you have one already and just need the install media. Otherwise, here ya go.
I can't speak up for monitors, they're not my forte.
Is this the thing I'd want to buy for Windows? I'm looking for the 64 bit [link]
Thanks for the advice btw. It really helped :)
You're welcome! Both are easy but flash drive copy is less time consuming but more expensive, maybe shop around?
You will need either one of those, how else are you going to boot it?
If you plan to build your very first PC, get a Windows license that includes the installation USB.
Kindle for PC program there. Also, there is a Kindle app on every major phone OS. You can customise the pages slightly on the apps. I find using anything other than the pure white background is better on the eyes.
Oh yeah I found it [link] but they are out of stock which SUCKS, so can i just do this [link]
Do yourself a favour for the next 3 years.
To add to this: If you're looking to install Windows you can buy a Windows 10 installation USB off Amazon. Just plug the USB drive in before you turn on the PC and follow the installation prompts once it's powered on.
What is wrong with the kindle app from amazon.com:
It gets 4.5 stars so curious what issues you have with it. Amazon is usually pretty responsive to customer feedback, so it might be beneficial to contact their customer service if you have a repeatable issue.
Also, have you tried metrotube? [link]
I hear Google doesn't play well with Microsoft because of ongoing patent disputes and whatnot, so 3rd-party apps tend to work a lot better if the web player is not sufficient for you.
Anyway give those a try if you haven't recently - you may be pleasantly surprised. If they are no good for you, provide feedback to the developers directly - not much is gonna happen on reddit unfortunately.
I won't tell you to pirate something. I will say that I just bought one of these and it was really convenient. If you do have a windows key, you can get the .iso and make a usb install drive yourself, and use your key during installation.
Edit: If you mean actually installing windows, its really easy, once you get your machine to the BIOS, you can just set it to boot from USB and windows will start installing, you just click through a few steps.
Every single piece of software you purchase you actually purchase a licence to make use of it. Any Steam game you get a licence to have permission to play them.
For Windows it verifies that you have purchased your OS legitimately.
If you buy a Windows OEM you are given a code that you must enter when installing Windows to be able to use it.
What you can do is get the USB flash drive edition of Windows.
This product comes with an USB adapter that allows you to install Windows with ease. Inside the box you will find a paper containing a code, this code is your licence that allows you to use the software.
Then you are better off buying a license from Microsoft.
You can either buy a license code (OEM) or with an included Windows 10 installation USB.
If you were to buy a laptop or desktop in the shop right now they will all include Windows 10.
It is recommended however to build your own PC as it is generally cheaper and allows for customisation. If you plan to build your own PC I recommend you get Windows 10 with an included installation USB.
Any PC from the shelf has Windows 10 installed.
If you decide to build a PC yourself you will need a Windows 10 license.
You can get the OEM version which is just the license key or you could go with the USB version which has a Windows 10 installation USB:
I always go for the USB route, usually by buying a license # and activating it once I install via USB.
However, you can also order a USB drive with Windows preinstalled
Are you implying downloading the OS? What other alternative should I go for?
Edit: Also, the OS I have listed there is not what I'm getting. This is
My new OS will be installed on a new Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD drive and neither of the two drives I want to move from my old PC to the new one have my old OS on them. My old OS is on an SSD in the old computer and the two I want to move are both HDDs.
Here is the Windows 10 I bought: [link]
I honestly don't remember if my Windows 7 was or not. I bought it at a Microcenter when building my first PC about 4 years ago. I just remember it was the Pro version as well.
This one gets pretty good reviews at a low price, you can sort of browse around though. And yeah windows can be installed from a usb drive, not positive about the OEM version though. I at least personally used this.
You can buy it in USB form like this one or download and install it here to put onto your own USB drive, then buy the product key off of their store
Sixty bucks straight from Michaelsoft themselves. Of course it's not just a key so you'll have to wait for it to arrive but it's legitimate as anything.
It seems that way.
All I can say for sure is that I used the download tool to create a bootable Windows 10 Home USB drive. I powered on the PC with USB inserted, started installing, and went to Amazon after being asked for a key. Purchased a Home edition, was given a key, entered it.
Your question about drivers is a great one and one that I had troubles getting answers to as well. It may be covered off by another reply but here was my experience on my first time build this weekend.
2)Plugged wireless mouse/keyboard into USB drive
2)Turned on PC booted to Bios succesfully
3)Turned of PC
4)Inserted Windows 10 USB that i purchased from Amazon into the USB 3.0 port on the front of my case.
4)Inserted LAN cable into the back of the PC
5) Turned the computer back on.
6) Windows prompt popped up asking if i wanted to install windows 10.
7) Followed the prompts for set-up. (This took 10 minutes tops) so streamlined and simple for a guy that doesn't claim to be super technical.
8) On a different PC with internet access i went to my motherboard manufactures website (MSI Gaming M3).
9) Navigated to the driver download list.
10) Located the most recent LAN driver.
11) Saved it to a USB
12) Inserted the USB into my newly built computer.
13) Opened and installed the file from the USB.
14) Once this was installed Windows 10 recognized my LAN connection
15) Windows automatically identifies all drivers that need updating, downloads and installs them.
I had a ton of heartburn around the process and was amazed out how easily it all worked. Good luck and thanks for your service. Also all of your research and time spent on this sub will totally payoff. Enjoy!
You're welcome :)
I forgot but you can also just buy Win10 already on a usb like this. But it is a couple bucks more than just getting the disc code and downloading it yourself.
I found this Do you think it it will just a be a message with the product key?
I don't have paypal, but I do have amazon prime (if that helps). I found this download on amazon.
there is an HD Dazzle
I did not have the HD one at the time I tried it. so that might work. The amazon reviews are hit and miss.
the Elgato game capture is just know for high quality Video to the computer. A lot of gamers use it for streaming.
It looks like newegg only lists the disks, but all retailer do have it.
You can do either. I prefer to do it myself but if you aren't comfortable doing it then by all means buy it preloaded. It'll install much faster than a disc. It does cost like $20 extra to get the preloaded one though.
You need to have an unused license key. If you type in your own key, it might work, but you might find your own computer telling you its copy of Windows is no longer valid.
"Media" refers to a device that contains data, such as a disc or flash drive. Windows installation media is what you use to install Windows on a computer.
The proper way to install Windows on a new computer is to purchase a package that contains a new license key and an installation media, such as this one: [link]
