This is my first time posting a build on Reddit. I decided to create positive pressure just purely on aesthetics alone aka I don't like the way it looks in a negative pressure setup. I added standoffs to both the motherboard and gpu sides. These standoffs did not screw in perfectly, so I would suggest other ones. But this allowed a lot of room for cable management, which took hours of planning. I was able to hide the controller behind the psu as a result. The backplate on the mobo doesn't fit perfectly because other wise the panels will not close due to the height of the Galahad pump block. The tubing seems to be sticking out, but I'm able to close the panels perfectly fine. The case is in 3 slot orientation and I raise the gpu to the highest possible point. Adding case feet also allowed me to use my normal DisplayPort and HDMI cables without any adapters. I'm not going to get shorty antennas because I don't think they're worth the cost. Thank you. They are not. Bought from amazon. Had to find other screws to secure them, as the included ones where too thick. Not sure of the size as I have a lot of extra parts lying around, and found 4 that fit. Lol

Mine did too but the bass messed up the sound awful. Any vibrations will transfer to the stylus and get picked up in your music. I assume they work, although I use them on a 1200w PB4000 subwoofer sitting on a carpeted concrete floor so who knows. Either way I cannot hear the floor rattling, the rattling windows drowns that out.

Please for the sake of all that is holy free those speakers from their prison.

I think you'll get better sound if you put them on top of the cabinet. Even better if you can put something between them and the cabinet to help sonically isolate them.

So I wouldn't say it's worth spending alot of money since it won't make a huge difference in mid fi systems. Although that being said I do have foam iso pads for my speakers but more so to tilt them higher, as well as subwoofer vibration feet to not shake the floors to much in my town home.

I listed some spike feet so that u can install those on your hard wood and subwoofer vibration feet in case you wanted to take a look. Their are plenty of different options out there, those are just the ones I used.

These have a rubber bottom so totally glass safe! Just remove 3 springs per piece and it provides just the right spring load for the mass of a heavy turntable and iso platform. Definitely was a positive improvement for my set-up, but thr sorbothane spheres are quite helpful as well so not sure if necessary.

Either of those should make a significant difference if OP is getting vibrations in his walls without impacting the neighbors perceived sound.

The best part of the amp is you can connect any sub you like to it. The Sonos sub wouldn’t make sense for you because some of the cost is due to the wireless connectivity you wouldn’t be using.

If you don’t want the bass travelling through the house, your best option is a sealed design and not a ported.

Additionally, sub isolation feet like these: https://www.amazon.ca/SVS-SoundPath-Subwoofer-Isolation-Pack/dp/B00NCSQ5GK go a long way to eliminate the rattling and general unwanted travel of bass sound to other areas of the home. They’re really great.

In your circumstance I would not use the Sonos sub. You can get much better performance for the same money, or save a bunch.

I keep the mk7 away from the monitor (set it up on my left when the monitor is on my right). I also put these under the tt’s when I play. But I think the “fix” has been where I place the tt in relationship to the monitor.

I have a pair and love them as well. I went with a purify amp as the price difference wasnt much more than the Hypex.

You need to get the sub off the floor with isolation feet. Something like these:

The next step is to put pressure on different places in the case to see if it reduces the resonance further. I'd recommend glue + screw in some 3/4" or 1" square pine at diagonals in the problem sections.

I like the idea of giving components some air, and saw somebody else post a picture with these feet that looked pretty nice.

Looking for sensitive TT advice. It with relatively mild amounts of vibrations cause skips. I just bought a sub so I'm thinking it might be a hindrance.

I would use thicker rubber feet in the back. Hudson Hi-Fi sells sound isolation feet in different sizes that work really well. Since they sell different sizes, you can really dial in the angle you want. I’m using them on a couple of different keyboards.

I have these which supposedly help with keeping the noise isolated. I am in a corner unit and don't have anyone directly on the other side of the wall which helps.

You’ll be surprised by how much it tightens everything up. By having those speakers right on the dresser … you basically turned the dresser into a speaker - and dressers aren’t typically designed to be speakers :-)

dunno how heavy those speakers are, but they make little disks for the spikes to go onto on hardwood floors so they don't damage the floor.
