I use this one to cut small pills. every piece may not be exactly equal - but close. you would still average roughly the same dosage every week. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08J7RD7M2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

this works perfectly. I've not yet tried finasteride but I have used this to cut very small pills in quarters with no issues. it has a little cannister to put the cut pills in too which is nice. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08J7RD7M2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
FWIW they sell a pill splitter tool on Amazon, to make pills smaller:
So you can (1) split the pill, then (2) put the little piece into a big spoonful of yogurt (hide it in the middle & completely cover it). That way you can do 2 or 3 smaller pieces, with a low-friction covering haha!
Do they like hosting? Might be cool to get something like this steeler's themed party platter! Something to put chips and dip in for game day and hosting at their new house? It's the type of thing you don't realise you need or would be helpful if you had until after you've needed it. for your budget, maybe also $50 for Lowes/Home Depot (some type of home improvement store) as they are bound to be needing stuff to fix little things here and there and some beers/wine/champagne/something non-alcoholic depending on their preference.
Get a pill splitter and a pair of tweezers to help manipulate the pills more easily. Cutting them into quarters is simple, even for those small Arimidex pills.
I wish someone would make a splitter for thirds.
