I keep it dry in the shower. Usually just tossing it up in a bun works for me, but I sometimes wear a wide headband like this to keep the water off the edge of my hair when I splash my face.
Personally, I wash 2-3 times a week on the summer and only 2 times a week in the winter. Dry shampoo is perfect for the last day before I wash to keep the oil under control.
I have to wear headbands and they have to be chunky so I don't keep pulling them down. These ones on Amazon have worked well! They fit snug on me too which is a plus. Headbands
I've worn these from Amazon underneath my helmet while mountain biking and they work great. Hold a ton of sweat and affordable.
I have had this happen to me. I bought these: head bands. I don't have a problem with breaking out.
I use my Q2 for workouts all the time. Supernatural, mostly but I work up a sweat doing Beat Saber and even Superhot. I don't think there's a danger of damaging the unit from sweat, but it is gross. I would recommend 1) "fitness" facial interface from VR Cover or Kiwi (I've used both and they're pretty much the same) and 2) thin headbands like these. Also if you have a floor fan, that helps too.
I have not used a treadmill but I think it might be okay as long as you have good balance and spatial awareness. I would walk, I'm not sure I would run though. I have used an exercise bike and thought that was pretty good, though sometimes sideways motion would cause me to lose balance - not a big deal on a stationary bike, but not a great feeling.
You do not need to buy all these expensive brands to get a great fit. I got these on Amazon and they’re great! Hold A LOT of sweat. I’m a woman and the mens still work fine.

they will keep your neck from getting pelted
I live in MI where the humidity just kills me every summer. Last summer, I found these babies and they truly save me. They rest on main veins in the head and help cool the body down. headbands
This is the buff that people from here recommended. I got a couple in last week and I love the feel. Will mainly be used a head/sweat band, but will he used during windstorms too https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L74XRLW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_bCCm2ARzftgQ3
I've seen people wear sweatbands... they even come in black: https://www.amazon.com/Suddora-Head-Sweatbands-Athletic-Headbands/dp/B00A2ULMOG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469050556&sr=8-1&keywords=black+sweatband
I have a couple of these, and freaking love them. I'm ordering a couple more next pay day. I have short hair that flops over my forehead so I either use this has a headband or a full head cover depending on how froofy my hair is.
