Wish I could join in but I don't have enough comment karma..
EDIT: Just in case I'm at work and actually get enough karma!
Thanks parametrek!
Think about what you're going to do. Once you have it in mind, take a breath, count down from 3 then do it. I've found it to help stop freezing up
Listen. Howard Leight Impact Sports amplify small sounds like footsteps or talking. It's basically cheating. Also look for shadows.
Learn to shoot ambidextrously. If you're peaking left and using your right shoulder you're going to expose a lot more of your body then if you use your left shoulder. Try not to chicken wing.
Literally impossible to go wrong with these. They come in different colors too and the prices vary. Other vendors on Amazon sometimes have them for less.
Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Sport Sound Amplification Electronic Shooting Earmuff, Classic Green (R-01526) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001T7QJ9O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_j5MMBbN1YEPDY
If you’re shooting a rifle, it’s wise to double up, using little soft ear plugs in addition to the muffs, if you can bear it. Hearing cannot he restored...
I think you would be happier and more comfortable with something like a Wowtac A2s in that price range.
This is unlikely to be possible. There are basically only two places to buy them, and neither source is likely to arrive within 4 days. Mountain Electronics is located in the US, but it usually takes him a day or two to process an order and then you're waiting for the postal service after that. The manufacturer, Intl-outdoor, is the other source, and shipping is usually a few weeks.
Consider grabbing a Sofirn SP36 with Prime shipping, instead. It's a little larger but has a lot of the same features and capabilities.

When I see work to be done, I think "head lamp". Wowtac A2s: 1000lm, 18650 included, USB charge, $30. Works for me. At amazon

Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope, 1 x 25mm, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00200E0HM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_3q8sAbSPCEMNB these are much better, cheaper, and you get it next day rather than waiting. Considered the best bottom barrel rds you can buy. Note ar owners will need a mount to be able to use it but it'll last. Sorry op I can't get to my smile link at the moment
I have a Casio DW5600-E. They're bullet proof.
I purchased Howard Leigh hearing protection from amazon and love it. I've had it for a year and have no complaints. Plus its only $40!
If you're looking for a cheap sight, I'd check out the Bushnell TRS-25
I don't see why you'd but hearing protection in this form that wouldn't solve this problem. I never wear double ear protection, just muffs because if you buy decent ones they will be more than enough. That being said.
This is what I buy and have several of. They allow for, let's call it, loud noise dampening. So gunshots are quiet and normal sounds are amplified. Can't recommend them enough.

Yo get a bright fucking flashlight when wandering around at night. I've scared a few people off who came outta the woods on Textile and started following me.
Highly recommend this one. Comes with a battery, USB charging, and is super bright with a shortcut to strobe mode.

This rack is popular amongst the budget conscious here.
I encourage you to try electric ear protection. It has a microphone and speakers that amplifies anything below a certain decibel. So you can hear people talking, but it still drowns out gunfire.
Definitely the most recommended budget friendly headlamp around here. Bright, tough, waterproof, good UI with shortcuts to firefly and turbo, can be used handheld or on a headband, comes with a battery that has a micro USB port for charging, so it’s perfect if you don’t have 18650s and a charger yet.
Been shopping for active ear protection for me and the missus for a while. Found these on JET for a little less than on Amazon; then found the coupon code on retailmenot for the $10 off a $30 purchase.
Because the purchase price is originally over $35, they ship for free as well!
Picked up two pair (in two seperate orders) for under $60 shipped. That was a steal IMO.
Amazon for reference (rated 5 stars on Amazon)
As you might have guessed, the claimed brightness of your headlamps is a lie. With three XM-Ls and two 18650s, there's a good chance you're getting around 1500 lumens. It's definitely going to have more output than any of the 3xAAA headlamps just because it has several large LEDs and about 8 times the battery capacity (assuming good, new 18650s).
New 18650s would improve performance, but you'd still have a very heavy, low-quality headlamp. Note that I recommend against using the onboard charging in a low-quality headlamp like this because improper charging of Li-ion batteries can cause a fire or explosion. The risk increases as the batteries age, so the fact that it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean you're safe.
Something like a Wowtac A2S might be good for you. I'd suggest neutral white for better color, but it doesn't seem to be offered on UK Amazon. Very low white is preferred over red for preserving night vision in the flashlight community, and the A2S has a 0.3 lumen mode.
Water resistant is the standard around here. You can leave pretty much all of the lights we recommend submerged for at least half an hour.
There's also the A2S if you'd prefer a headlamp.

You asked about a cage. There's good options out there like Rep Fitness and Rogue. Rogue gets pricy, but great quality.
A great budget one (that I actually have) is this one from Fitness Reality. It's cheap, good quality, decent strength. Big lifters in competitions or going for high numbers would out pace this cage, but for those of us not going for that this works well. There's some downsides, like it is a bit smaller of a lifting area and if you want to hang your weights for storage it isn't the best (though I still do). There's also no cable attachments directly to this cage like some others have (like Rogue). It's a simple cheap good quality cage.
A good weight and bar starting set is the Dicks Sporting Goods set. It isn't pretty, and you'll want to replace the bar after a year, but it's worth the price and I still use those weights.
These earmuffs along with these improved ear pads are a good upgrade if you ever want to replace that ear pro.
2nd vote for the Romeo 5 if you can find it at $100 or below on eBay with a coupon. Oyahsales, or whatever the eBay company with the good price is called, seems to have caught on and raised their price by a few bucks to offset the frequent coupons.
If not, just keep an eye on gundeals.
I've also got a couple TRS-25s, but since you'll need a pic rail riser and that seems to mean shitty UTG risers, I don't really feel they're worth it.
It's really hard to go wrong with Howard Leight electronic earmuffs. They're probably the most popular type around, and I really don't think casual shooters need anything fancier.
And personally, I double up. I use the above earmuffs in addition to foam earplugs.
At first I was skeptical since it was so inexpensive, but I'm glad I decided to buy it. It's worked great for me.
Finally, something in my wheelhouse!
I'm a knife guy. I have bought, sold, and traded hundreds of knives. I own custom slipjoints, fixed blade hunters, and cheap loaners for friends to use.
My advice is to learn to sharpen it yourself. It takes less than ten minutes to put a screaming edge on a fully dull blade. You'll also get to do it as needed, not just when you can get around to taking it somewhere.
Start with a Lansky. It's easy and inexpensive and will last years.

You can also buy a strop if desired.
Everything is sold out so you aren’t going to find something readily available. I’d second buying a quality bar from Rogue or another premium brand depending on what you need.
Sign up for in-stock alerts for Walmart’s bumper plate set. I’m assuming you aren’t training for Oly so these are fine. I’ve also really liked the equipment from Fringe Sport. They have anticipated in-stock dates for next month, and their bumpers have been great even dropping from overhead. Metal plates are metal plates. If you don’t need calibrated, buy whatever you can find.
Adjustable benches are crazy expensive. Maybe start with a flat bench and prop it on plates to start. I’ve never been able to justify the cost of having one at home.
If you can find a rack or cage in stock, keep in mind that ones like this can often be assembled with the pull-up bar facing down to save on height. I’ve used that in a garage with a lower ceiling, and it’s fantastic for $200 if pandemic pricing and availability ever subsides.
The TRS-25 hits the price/quality mark perfectly for a gun you're just looking to have fun with. The rebate deal they had a month ago is over, but you can still get one for $70 on Amazon.
Wow... that's an amazing price at Target! I still see it at the normal $40 to $45 at Amazon ... but their pricing is very dynamic.
$25 would normally be a really good price for a used DW5600E-1V... I recommend the OP wait until January and make someone very happy then.
It's a good light, but is very much designed for people who've been in the hobby a while and understand li-ion cell safety and how to not burn themselves/their pants with a high output light. I'd get something else as your first high powered flashlight. The Wurkkos FC11 is our current default recommendation for new people.
