Here's the link to the Amazon page these reviews are on!
According to camelcamelcamel, it sells for between $853 and $1400: Link
If you want to invest $14 into a device that will always tell you if a card is fake or not there is a Carson Microbrite.
You can look at the green mana symbol on the back of the card and a fake card will have a scattered red dot pattern. While a real card will have a L made of 4 red dots. The example picture is one I took with my own phone through the Microbrite.
There is only one real review which says it's basically not even functional and was created only as a display item to demonstrate the various tools in their catalog.
Boiling isn't always necessary and a good filter can make any water safe to drink. Lifestraw is a solid example:
Whether you are filling up at a hotel tap, or drinking out of the Amazon River, your LifeStraw will protect you from bacteria, parasites, and microplastics.
Pepper spray/gel is your friend.
I rarely leave the house without it.
Violence can and will come out of nowhere.
I don't want to kill anyone, I don't own a gun. I'll sure as hell put someone into pepper gel hell if someone is at risk because of them though.
If they have eyeballs or lungs, it'll stop them.
Edit: Amazon Link for the kind I daily carry. Its no joke, if you EVER press down the button for any reason, wash your hands as soon as possible and DON'T EVER TOUCH YOUR FACE until you do. Do not EVER think of it as a toy. Not only will this stuff temporarily blind someone, but it'll also cause them to choke and have problems breathing. This is only meant for very serious situations where someone is committing a felony. Use of it outside those situations and your not protected by the law, your committing assault if not something worse. Spraying this on someone with breathing problems could kill them.
>Buying a gun is not a spur of the moment decision, not everyone is cut out to be a gun owner.
Thank you! This cannot be understated! You are more likley to be harmed or killed with your own gun. Every time the gun is loaded and drawn it must be understood that there is a potential for you, the person wielding the weapon, to shoot. If you shoot in self defense you must shoot to kill.
It's not a wishy washy subject, it's a go big or go home you need to be 100% in and make a careful decision and commit to the training, and do it well.
It's easy to forget those details and just make an off the cuff remark when it's something you grew up around and just 'knew'. So thanks again, Notmykl for the reminder.
OP would likley be in close quarters and need to carefully determine caliber, etc to ensure no walls are pierced, innocent bystanders struck. Tons of varyables to consider. Doubly so with a pending adoption.
You bring a good point especially considering that OP is from the UK and most likley didn't grow up around firearms as many of us in the USA and other countries did.
In that case Tactical Pepper Spray Gel is a better option. Gel is much safer than spray. I've had several police officers suggest this as an alternative to a firearm.
Then returned with two hookers and a cooler full of beer.
But my personal favorite:
> Received this knife as a gift for my 18th birthday. Wish I'd have known what it was because as soon as I touched it, I grew a mustache and became a Navy Seal. Mom fainted and my dad laughed and handed me a beer. I was born a girl.
>Minus 2 stars because my breasts were really nice.
oh jesus, he's one of those PLS RESPOND losers. I love/hate those.
this one is legit creepy though. he's outright stalking you. jesus christ. you need to get pepper gel. it's like pepper spray, but better. they sell it on amazon for like 5-10 bucks or something. saber is a good brand.
I've relied on that one for years and it's never let me down.
I bought my girls theirs off of Amazon, there are tons of different styles and products. This is the one I bought based on reviews and after talking to a local law enforcement officer in my district. Here is their main website that covers all sorts of safety stuff for law enforcement and private individuals.
They come with an expiration date as well, keep in mind. 3-4 years I believe.
Price: $40-$45 ($69.95 MSRP)
Movement: quartz, digital
Size: 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4mm (specs from Casio's website)
Link: Casio's page, Amazon page
Basic quartz model (battery will probably last 2-3 years), 200m WR. One of the cheaper G-Shocks, which are the gold standard for watches that can take abuse and beatings.
Lifestraw for $9.99
Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope, 1 x 25mm, Black [link] these are much better, cheaper, and you get it next day rather than waiting. Considered the best bottom barrel rds you can buy. Note ar owners will need a mount to be able to use it but it'll last. Sorry op I can't get to my smile link at the moment
Not sure if has a pitchfork, but you can probably build one.
I have a Casio DW5600-E. They're bullet proof.
>mist or fog sprays can be susceptible to wind and you could end up spraying yourself if you aren't careful.
Gel spray is the better alternative. It's a bit bigger than traditional self defense sprays.

>iron gym/p90x style ones
These are the ones that use torque, not tension, correct? (Like this?) My doors don't have frames, so I'm not sure it will stay securely.
I'm considering buying something like this instead.
edit: link fixed

The Customer Questions & Answers sections is equally entertaining:
> Question: Can it core a apple?
Answer: Of course it can, but the apple-corer blade is accessible only if you use it immediately after the bagpipe bladder stitch removal cumberbutton and before using the panda baby spoon.
> Question: can we see a photo of this knife in the closed position?
Answer: No. Unfortunately, closing the knife brings too much mass into one location causing the formation of a small black hole. This is not covered by the warranty.
> Question: Where is the Flugelhorn?
Answer: Right in between the warp drive and the creme brulee torch.
Only $18 on Amazon, and 1,000 gallons of clean water... wow
LifeStraw Personal Water Filter for Hiking, Camping, Travel, and Emergency Preparedness [link]
To fix this spoon correctly, you will need a Wenger 16999 Swiss Army Knife Giant. Be sure to read the comments of this knife for directions on how to fix this spoon, save a baby whale, and to become a country/western singer.
2nd vote for the Romeo 5 if you can find it at $100 or below on eBay with a coupon. Oyahsales, or whatever the eBay company with the good price is called, seems to have caught on and raised their price by a few bucks to offset the frequent coupons.
If not, just keep an eye on gundeals.
I've also got a couple TRS-25s, but since you'll need a pic rail riser and that seems to mean shitty UTG risers, I don't really feel they're worth it.
Finally, something in my wheelhouse!
I'm a knife guy. I have bought, sold, and traded hundreds of knives. I own custom slipjoints, fixed blade hunters, and cheap loaners for friends to use.
My advice is to learn to sharpen it yourself. It takes less than ten minutes to put a screaming edge on a fully dull blade. You'll also get to do it as needed, not just when you can get around to taking it somewhere.
Start with a Lansky. It's easy and inexpensive and will last years.
You can also buy a strop if desired.
I may be wrong but I just don’t see the university taking on the liability of handing out pepper spray.
Handle the situation for the low, low price of $12.99. This is cop stuff:
SABRE RED Tactical Pepper Gel with Belt Holster – Gel is Safer – Maximum Police Strength Gel OC Spray, Quick Access Flip Top, 18-foot (5.5 m) Range, 18 Bursts – Designed for Security Personnel [link]
life-straw, just stick it in a corpse and drink.
The TRS-25 hits the price/quality mark perfectly for a gun you're just looking to have fun with. The rebate deal they had a month ago is over, but you can still get one for $70 on Amazon.
Wow... that's an amazing price at Target! I still see it at the normal $40 to $45 at Amazon ... but their pricing is very dynamic.
$25 would normally be a really good price for a used DW5600E-1V... I recommend the OP wait until January and make someone very happy then.
Yup. I've thought about this. I wouldn't get out of the car, would call police and would use my car as a weapon if necessary. Also I keep this in the glove box. [link]
You looking for an analog? Or a digital? Honestly, I think a nice cheap G Shock is the most utilitarian for a frugal wrist. You can set it to 24-hr time easily and it won't get wonky with seconds (if lives depend on it) something like this. That said, if you're looking for analog, Vostok makes some affordable GMTs.
Vostok is a Russian watch company with an interesting history. If the crown wiggles on you, it's not a flaw but a feature to prevent stem damage. Read up on Vostok and see if it's something you might be interested in.
It's Washington state. We have self-defense laws. Use them if you are threatened.
Then talk to Walgreens and get him 85'd. You're from Philly and don't know how to handle people?
Personally, I always feel like the dip bars on power towers are too wide. I've tried a few of them out in Dick's Sporting Goods and it doesn't feel like a good position to sustain for multiple dips. So, that might be something to consider if you purchase one of these. I just did a quick search for more detailed dimensions of that particular model but I didn't have any luck. Maybe, get a power tower with less "features" like this Cap Barbell Power Rack from Amazon and then you can get some rings and throw them over the bar? The price fluctuates quite a bit; at the end of April it was down to $50.59 and occasionally gets down into the $65 price range.
I would recommend the cap OB-86
It’s 120$ right now on amazon. In a year or whatever you can upgrade to a Ohio power bar abd use this as a guest/landline bar. I don’t live in a corrosive environment but it has been a great bar. For the price it’s excellent. IMHO the rouge Ohio is a better bar. But it is quite a bit more $$. When I have acquired all the other equipment I want I upgrade the bar.
The knurling isn’t cheese grader but I’m happy with it.
Cap barbell OB-86B $140 on amazon. I think you can get it slighter cheaper on ebay with the 15% off coupon they're running today PERFECTDAY.
If your offer doesn't give you a good price, these are running $42 on Amazon right now:
just up it to 4 or 5 times a week and hit some calisthenics. you don't have to do anything insane but try some pushups, pullups if you can get a bar to mount in your door(something like this) and bodyweight squats. if you want to incorporate some weight at home without setting up a home gym look into kettlebells(link here to show you what you're looking for). you can probably find some kettlebells useful to you for pretty cheap.
The TRS-25 is about as cheap as I'd go for something I'm going to stick on a 'real' caliber. If you're just going to use it on a .22 rifle, there's plenty of stuff on Amazon (NCStar, FireField, etc.) that'll likely work fine.
The amazon reviews for this product are great!
These are really awesome LifeStraw Personal Water Filter for Hiking, Camping, Travel, and Emergency Preparedness [link]
It’s small, affordable, and effective.
a long time ago I posted about potential fakes on this sub. The best answer I got is there is absolutely no reason to not own one of these as a magic player: [link]
I check any card I buy over $15 now.
I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but Amazon has Lifestraws for $13.99 each. Using an Amazon tracker, it's the lowest is ever been. LifeStraw Personal Water Filter
Burris has a $40 mail-in rebate going on. So I bought a TRS-25 off Amazon for about $60 shipped. It's already on my 10/22 and it seems pretty nice. And for $20 it seems like a steal. Price has gone up on Amazon by about $10 since then, but $30 is still a good price IMO.
Found myself cooped-up one night last week with a laptop and a bottle of bourbon. This was all the motivation I needed to finally order the .22 conversion kit I've been ~~wanting~~ needing. It will be a 2-3 month wait for a kit that costs more than most off-the-shelf .22 pistols. I'll be getting mags to try it with both a single and a double-stack gun. If anyone's interested, I can make a post about it when it comes.
I would return that back to Amazon and replace it with (r/[link]) cheaper and its a Bushnell. I purchase two of these and they have held up great.
Fun fact, that specific knife is a collectors item and can be bought new on Amazon for $11,000. Downside is The Verge would still be unable to apply thermal paste properly.
Cheap easy indoor solution. I use one myself.
Genetics determine where your body stores fat! The only thing you can really do is continue shedding fat and gaining muscle. You can gain muscle with just dumbbells and bodyweight. Push-ups and pull-ups are particularly effective for arms and shoulders and they can be quite a challenge. If your dumbbells are really lightweight and too easy to curl, you can even do bicep curls with household objects like water jugs.
My advice to anyone who will listen to me is to get this item from Amazon:
It's a pocket microscope that is perfect for doing the green dot test (Google it for more detail if unsure) on cards. I've gotten counterfeit cards that were only $25 or so, so it's not inconceivable for people to be counterfeiting rhystic studies. It's a great tool that will give peace of mind, and pays for itself the first time you find a counterfeit. Really can't recommend this enough!
Like this kind of thing: [link]
Yeah they aren't great. But they'll let you see the colors of your trichomes, spot powdery mildew and see tiny bugs. Best you can hope for for $20.
Good catch. I see it too. Also, little white dots on the leaves could be thripes. Not that these are. You'd need a microscope to confirm between the two. Or if you have both, which would be awful.
But, there's a microscope online that was the best present under $20 I got for myself to study my plants.
I look at their leaves all the time under this thing. It's so cool.
I wore this watch throughout my 6 years in the Marines served me well. I was in the Infantry it's the original Casio G-Shock
FYI, I've read that pepper gel works better because it can't get caught in the wind and blow back into your face (and we all know it's windy af in SF)
Treatment is going to depend partially on the ID. Could be fruit flies or phorid flies just going off size and what I can see of color from here. An extreme close up (use a magnifying glass if you have it) would definitely help. A pocket microscope is by far the best identification tool you can buy for the money. I recommend that one because I bought it and am super happy with it.
Either way though, the most effective treatment is always going to be removing the food source. They both feed on decaying and dead stuff, as well as the fungi that decay those things. Could be rotten fruit/veg in the pantry, a lot of leftover feces in the yard, animal cages (rabbit, guinea pig, hamster...), dead animal close to house or in crawl/attic, trash, etc.
The problem is that they don't always hang out around the actual breeding and feeding sites, so finding a concentration isn't always going to point to the infestation. A thorough inspection is what deals with them.
"Reasonably priced" is..well..relative. I love Rogue products and I respect their American-made ethos greatly and I love how flexible all of their systems are, but you are paying for all of that. You can't get a squat rack under $345 from them (S-1). And, per context of this conversation, that doesn't have the pullup bar; you have to go to the S-2 at $425. Don't get me wrong, that rack is fucking tough, but the price is too.
If you pay less you will get less, but you might not need something as bomb-proof as Rogue.
Here is an off brand on Amazon at $89 dollars. It's all relative...
Cap Barbell Power Rack Exercise Stand [link]
I got this one from Amazon. Cost about $10. I like that it's portable, so you can put it on any sample. Like all microscopes, it only focuses on a specific distance at a time (adjusted with the focus knob), so it works best if you can hold it up against the sample or on a flat surface to keep it still. All these pictures were taken with the zoom at the minimum position (60x magnification).
It works really well for the price, but if you/your daughter want to take a lot of pictures, I would recommend getting something else. Either a full-sized stand microscope with a camera mount, or the same company makes some slightly more expensive ones with mounts for smartphones. I don't think they had one for my phone, so I had to strap it on with rubber bands to get these pictures.
Right now you can get a bushnell trophy red dot trs-25 for $100 on Amazon and a $40 mail in rebate, so your paying $60-70 for it. Rebate ends October 31st. Just ordered one my self and picked up a magpul afg2 foregrip.
I bought one of those last year and I love it! No, it's not a high-end model, but at the range it's been nothing but accurate and reliable for me. If you're looking for a cheap but decent optic, you might consider this one from Amazon:
The no-rise version of the TRS-25 is ~~currently $39 on Amazon~~ no longer the price I was seeing...
You'll often see the TRS-25s on sale for $35-$40 ish (I grabbed one last week @ $35 for my new 9mm upper). Add in a .83" riser for ~$10 and you're still ahead of buying the taller version.
I got this from amazon and they are very steady with the rings. I have had no issues doing the RR on them.
EDIT: Updating answer to help out OP with an alternative.
OP, you can try out rows with towel and a door similar to this till you gain the strength to do the rows with your body directly below the bar.
> Where would I be able to purchase that for my own personal protection?
Amazon - get the gel instead of the spray because that has less less splash-back inside a vehicle. I use this stuff
It will also dye their face red and so will fuck up your seats especially if they're cloth but that just means I'm not going to deploy it unless I really need it.
If you mean a pull through sharpener it's because they're dead simple to use while a whetstone requires a fair amount of skill.
I usually don't recommend either method. Pull through sharpeners remove too much steel and leave a ragged edge while whet stones are easy to fuck up your knife with.
This is what I use. It's super easy to use and produces an excellent edge:
It’s hard to know exactly what is happening without pics, but it does sound like OE since a few managed to make it to a butterfly. If they have NPV or another bacteria, they will die as a caterpillar. I’m in California and it is very prevalent here. Many of us have a plant which we collect eggs from, bring them inside and do a bleach treatment, and then raise them with milkweed that has also been bleached even if they are covered plants. Even with all this intervention, a few manage to have OE. It’s very easy to test for OE, there is a good video on Dr. Lund Science and this a a good and inexpensive microscope Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x... [link]
> it's hard to truly know what's high quality and what's cheaply made junk
The dirty little secret about the fitness industry is that 99% of the product is made in one factory, with different branding and marketing stuck to it.
The pull-up bar you linked has some fancy engineering, but at the end of the day it works in pretty much the exact same way as every other doorframe pull-up bar. This has much less fancy marketing but will do the same job. The weight is distributed against the black horizontal bar and the two bits that touch the vertical part of the frame. Nothing fancy to it, but it works.
My advice would be to get what you can afford and not fall for the marketing and branding. And since you're moving, check that your rental has doorframes that are thick enough to support a pull-up bar. My place, for example, has doorframes that are entirely flush with the wall. There's no bit that sticks out for the horizontal black bar to rest on.
Harvest the plants earlier when the trichromes are cloudy, but before they have amber. Buy a 40x or larger loupe off Amazon to check your trichromes.
Here's a good scope.
Here are some photos to give you an idea of what to look for.
Amazon, 42 bucks
I like the Iron Gym Pull Up Bar on Amazon, works great for me and seems pretty durable so far. Just make sure it will fit your doorway and wont damage the door frame!
Looks great man, and check this out. I think it would serve you well, a used one is only like $50.
Bushnell Trophy TRS-25 Red Dot Sight Riflescope, 1x20mm, Black [link]
That’s the one I use
knife sharpener its this one
Get a Lansky system... [link] it's a basically idiot-proof way to sharpen your knives. Do it every 4-6 months and they'll stay pretty damn sharp. If you're doing it every 6 months or so start at the medium grit and move up from there in fineness. It'll take about 10 minutes in total per knife for large knives.
As far as other rules: Hand wash your knives when you're done and dry them. Don't ever put them in your dishwasher. Always use a plastic or wood cutting board (No glass, ceramic, or whatever). Don't use your knives for opening boxes, prying shit... Anything like that.
I’d highly recommend getting a different pepper spray. I’ve tested many different pepper spray canisters and that type almost always fails. It either oozes out instead of spraying, or the stream will only last half a second.
This is the one I recommend
Id recommend checking for spider mites just to be safe. Something cheap like This would work since they are microscopic. If you see any white or clear things that look like water droplets you have found eggs
I had similar looking growth on my first grow and it turns out those fuckers are so small you only notice them when they are starting to get bad. I did everything I could but next week it kept creeping up. Bought that microscope and instantly confirmed it. Still don't know how I got them either it was mid winter
It could just be the plant doing it's thang due to not enough light or something. But since it's so cheap to have piece
Based on no data whatsoever I wouldn't trust the tension ones (like a shower rod) but I have had this one for several years and it has never given me any problems. The only issue we ever had was my wife got drunk and was swinging on it and it fell. Never been even remotely an issue during intended use though.
I highly recommend the Casio DW-5600E G-Shock Classic. It's less than $45 on Amazon (US) and I've been wearing one for the last 24 years. My first one, purchased in 1997 lasted me 22 years before it finally had a problem that needed replacement. I replaced it with the exact same watch and it seems just as bulletproof.
The DW-5600E is simple and straight forward. It has everything I need and almost nothing I don't use. Time-date-day of the week on main screen, with alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch on subsequent screens. Backlight is simple and easy to use. Battery lasts for years.
> My only question: is there some strength training program someone can use at home that excludes the use of equipment/weights? Due to the pandemic all gyms are shut down here and I don’t have equipment at home.
How will you do pulling exercises, or complicate easier bodyweight exercises?
The minimum equipment investment for the program above is a pull-up bar, which is cheap and accessible: [link]
> Firstly, failing the vertical pull exercise being a viable option, how important is it to have all 6? Would 5 be sufficient? Essentially would the impact be of having 5/6 but not incuding vertical pulls?
You'd be neglecting major muscle groups, which would lead to both visible and invisible muscle imbalance and possible risk of injury.
If you're going to cut out a major compound exercise, choose rows. Together, chin-ups and deadlifts can recruit most of the muscles involved. Further reading: [link]
> Secondly, if I were aiming for all 6, which vertical pull exercises would you recommend if working out at home
Any kind of pull-up. Chin-ups would probably suit you most as they target the biceps more.
Doorway pull-up bars are cheap and accessible: [link]
> How woud you best spread these now 9 or 10 exercises out over a 3 day period?
A PPL program as described above: day 1 (push): bench press/push-ups, overhead press/pike push-ups, day 2 (pull): pull-ups/chin-ups/lat pull-downs, rows, day 3 (legs): deadlifts, squats, (repeat), day 7: active recovery. Do any isolation exercises in the relevant day.
Get yourself one of these. I sharpen a little then check the edge. You can see every scratch in the metal so you can determine if you're doing a good job. You can also see the wires that form when you've got one side good.
Also finishing the blade on a leather strop is not optional. It cleans the edge up real nice.
Here is a type of pepper spray I recommend it sprays a gel, which gives it much longer ranger, makes it less affected by wind and you actually have to hit their face to affect them, which makes it less likely to catch you in blowback.
But I do really like the idea of an alarm. The louder the better.
What magnification do you require?
I recently bought this for our child; the whole family loves to use it. My spouse for instance used it to identify flour. I used it to investigate the structure of my iPhone Retina screen.
Ist Amazon, aber das Ding gibts bestimmt auch woanders. Auf jeden Fall ist es wirklich gut um sowas anzugucken. Das nehm ich auch immer um die Trichome von meinem Home-Grow zu checken.
Too blurry but just buy this. Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x LED Lighted Zoom Pocket Microscope with Aspheric Lens System [link]
It’s a microscope for looking at trichomes. Pgr weed will have no trichomes kn it. Pull this thing out in front of ur plug and have a look. If the trichomes are 100% there it’ll look like a shaft with a ball on top, lowkey like a dick. Alotta plugs before they sell to BM dealers will sift their grow for keif first, taking off the trichome heads leaving only the shafts. You can see this with the scope, they’ll be just lil white sticks u see, same as the full trichomes just headless. Pgr will have very few shafts so that’s what you should examine with the microscope
You can’t tell if something is PGR just by looking at a pic of it. People will tell you they can but you can’t, they don’t see it as clearly as you, and can’t examine the trichs
These have amazing reviews and fits the Bill. Shipped ASAP with prime
Picked up one, and a 1” riser plus a leapers magnifier for my wife’s build
Sure! Here it is, I would order a couple, take one outside and use for practice. It only affects what it lands on and doesn’t fog, but it’s really easy to use and safe for indoors where regular spray is not. Safe walking! I really don't understand this sub and it's attraction to these things, the jewlers loops, or the microscopes everyone says is so great yet when they post pics that clearly show they're not great. Idk, maybe they mean it's for picture taking?
This $12 handheld microscope is far and away THE best thing you could use. Like, EVER. I can look at every single trichome individually or as a field of trichomes. I can see exactly where my strawberry eclair leaf turns from green to black under the trichomes. In absolute perfect detail. Not trying to over sell but it's pretty freaking great. Even as a color blind person this makes it hard to screw up.
I guess if it's for the pics and imaginary internet points then rock on. But if you actually want to knowthe exact perfect time to harvest all the work you've accumulated then I recommend looking into getting one of these.
What are you seeing? I'm color blind as well and also have trouble distinguishing between colors. For me, most of the time the clear trichomes appear black. Not because their black but because they're nothing for light to bounce off of.
There are 3 stages. Clear, cloudy, and amber. Get accustomed to looking at the trichomes a lot. Lmao I'll cut a leaf and inspect it closely for several days when close to harvest. But will start when I know for sure they're still all clear to get accustomed.
I'd recommend grabbing one of these handheld microscopes instead of the ones commonly used by growers in this sub. It will allow you to very close at the trichomes. You can zoom all the way down to just one single trichome or back out and get a field view.
I hope this helps or you at least get it figured out.
they do sell the reissue for only $41. looks very similar but says illuminator, not made in japan, and not a screw back.
I'll second the recommendation, been using it for a while and it's a great watch.
As for people being displeased with it, just took a quick look at Amazon page for DW5600E (there are a few different versions of 5600, but this is the first one Amazon returns and then one I am using myself) and it has average rating of 4.6 (1,760 votes) with 77% people rating it 5 and 14% voting it with 4 stars, so majority obviously likes it.
Ofcourse that doesn't mean it's for everyone, if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
This one is half as much: [link]. Not portable. Amazon is sometimes more expensive than Cap's own website, but the price bounces around. I have it, stable, but wobbles a little. Doesn't feel like it will fall over.
EDIT: Oops andersonah said the same thing. I guess that's two endorsements for one system!
estimated shipping was $10.85 for me. $66 delivered is pretty good for a TRS-25 these days. amazon is currently $68.25
It's silly to spend extra for a beater bar with the Rogue name. Just get a regular beater bar.
The Cap OB-86B on Amazon is pretty reputable at $140.
If you're in the US you can get a decent beginner squat rack from Amazon or Walmart for $250-350. Building your own only to replace it will cost a lot more in the end and take an awful lot of time.
As for the bar, if you buy a decent one now you can keep it forever, or until you become a hulk. From what I can tell, the CAP OB-86B seems to generally be considered the best bang for your buck. It's currently available for $138 shipped at Amazon.
Amazing. I love the Internet community. If you liked this you'll definitely enjoy the Amazon reveiws for the Wenger 16999 Swiss Army Knife. Oh, and also this banana slicer. I have both pages bookmarked for rainy days - the reviews are that funny.
As a note, local amazon prices may be slightly lower than long island watches.
For example, the same Gshock is about 17 dollars cheaper
Great investment for when I was getting started. You can snag it for ~$25 on Amazon. Multiple grips and you can use it for pull ups, chin ups, crunches, dips, and push ups.
I would put it in the doorway for my room and every time I go in or out of the room I did pull-ups until failure. Now that I'm at the gym often I don't use it as much, but it will definitely last.

My amazon says the knife is $9k. And the FAQs are waaaay funnier:
If you want a legit one, it's currently $52 on Amazon. Even waiting on a sale it'd only go down to maybe $45.
