There’s vanilla stevia drops I found on amazon, very strong, only need a couple Sweetleaf Stevia Drops
I know what you mean, especially since other sweeteners are so much cheaper.
I just found a 8.29oz bag of a monk fruit/erythritol blend on Amazon for $6.95
Seems worth a try without committing too much money.
Swerve confectioner's sugar is our go-to. There's no replacement for it, in my opinion. Have you checked Amazon? I was able to get 2 bags for $18.
My mistake...it is Vanilla Creme. I guess I saw the French spelling. I bought it at Whole Foods, but here is the Amazon link. https://www.amazon.com/SweetLeaf-Liquid-Stevia-Sweetener-Vanilla/dp/B000E8WIAS/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1532049551&sr=8-1&keywords=sweetleaf%2Bvanilla%2Bcreme&th=1
As a heads up, Stevia and Sugar Alcohols aren't artificial sweeteners since they're derived from natural sources.
What I personally like to do is to let Stevia leaves brew with my tea ( I use GreenGreenStevia. It's about 6 leaves to 1 teaspoon of sugar and 0.2 net carbs for one serving.
Unlike the powdered and processed shit that's sold in so many stores, raw Stevia leaves actually have a somewhat pleasant taste - a bit grassy, somewhat like a green tea. It's a bit on the bitter side, but it's not unpleasant.
For cooking or with anything that needs volume, I use the NOW Foods brand Erythritol. It's all natural, has a minimal amount of carbs (10 grams per cup - compared to the 200 in sugar or 25 in Splenda), and is excellent for baking and cooking. It does have a cooling effect when you eat it, but if you grind it up (such as in a spice grinder) the effect is noticeably lessened.
I use Agave Syrup which is supposed to be low glycemic, but for me wife I use Stevia drops.

You can't do it better than liquid sucralose. It might seem expensive, but it lasts a fucking year. Six drops sweeten a gallon of iced tea; one drop sweetens a huge mug of coffee.
If you're not looking for sugar-free diet sweetener, then just make simple syrup.
The challenge is the word "affordable". Pure monk fruit sweetener (Magroside V mostly) is sold as an extract. It's expensive to produce because it's like an 85:1 ratio, so 85 pounds of the fruit gets you a pound of extract. Anything other than the extract will have a bulking agent of some kind.
The extract I use (from Lakonto) is $12 and has 260 servings. I use it primarily for ketoade, and it makes about 52 liters at the sweetness I like. I don't bake keto treats, but if I did I'd still have to substitute another bulking agent in addition to the extract to give a recipe the right "heft" or mouthfeel.
At .046 cents a serving, the extract is worth every fraction of a penny.
50lb!!!! That is AWESOME!!!!!
I love my sweet coffee and use nutpods (at costco, otherwise stupid expensive), premier protein drinks and liquid splenda (from amazon). https://www.amazon.com/SucraDrops-Premium-Sucralose-Sweetener-Servings/dp/B00VL9Q4WW/ref=sr_1_16?crid=2SOUZ8H0ALP2M&keywords=liquid+splenda&qid=1647397428&sprefix=liquid+splenda%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-16
liquid splenda has no carbs, nutpods has no carbs and is low calorie, and premier protein has some carbs/calories but I can make about 6-8 cups of coffee with one premier protein shake so it's not too bad.
2 shots of espresso and 1 fl oz of oatmilk is all it takes for me. If you “need” sweetness maybe get some zero calorie sweetener such as monk fruit sweetener and make a simple syrup out of that? That’s what I do when I want “sweet cream”.
Monk fruit link: Lakanto Classic Monk Fruit Sweetener - White Sugar Substitute, Zero Calorie, Keto Diet Friendly, Zero Net Carbs, Zero Glycemic, Baking, Extract, Sugar Replacement (Classic White - 8.29 Oz) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00CF2B04Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_AM79YMYP7WT1K4CZBCYE?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Not all stevia is created equally. If it's in a plastic container it's junk. I'll link you to my favorite brand, even my wife likes it (I've noticed women are more sensitive to stevia taste). Some stevia has other junk added (especially the powder).
SweetLeaf Sweet Drops Liquid Stevia Sweetener, Stevia Clear, 4 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GRY33AC/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_DGFAH1XJAWR8AA5VZ76F
They have vanilla, and root beer that are tasty. But you won't go wrong with just stevia.
Splenda is dextrose mixed with sucralose. The sucralose won't raise your blood sugar, but the dextrose will (it's used in glucose tablets to treat hypoglycemia). Your better off buying liquid sucralose, which I've found has no impact on my blood sugar.
Diet coke uses aspartame as the sweetener. Unfotunately, I'm allergic to it, so I can't test it. Anyone else want to try?
Yogurts are an interesting category, I'll add it to the list.
I switched to this and like it. It’s the same sweetener in Splenda. From what I read the powdered Splenda is the issue. I think this comes out cheaper than packets and it takes up a lot less space!
EZ-Sweetz (1.05oz - Liquid Sweetener 400 Servings/Bottle) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009L3HWV2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_MBXTA33RJVMYE9DRJPRX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The most common keto old fashioned I make uses a granulated monkfruit product, like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CF2B04Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_S6JA5PM1BFVRWT7D47SW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
It dissolves well with vigorous shaking.
For bourbon: the very best old fashioned that I have made is using Russell's Reserve. Just a great bourbon that plays well with the bourbon. If I'm really wanting lower carbs I replace the orange slice with an orange peel, and the cherry with cherry bitters.
But, Russell's is kind of expensive, so as a good compromise between taste and price, I use Wild Turkey 101. Not as complex as Russell's, but well distilled with no harsh aftertaste. I can get a 1.75 L bottle for the same price as a 750 ml of Russels.
They probably do. I don't really shop at whole foods though. A bit pricey and I rather support a more local health food store thats been in the community for decades. I bought mine from Amazon though.
EDIT: If the bag is just for yourself, then 2.5 pounds is plenty.
The thing about stevia is that it's much sweeter than erythritol, so you would probably only need about 2 tbsps or so. But the cookies get a lot of their structure from the erythritol, so I'm worried they'll fall apart without it. It's worth a shot if you already have all of the ingredients, but I can't guarantee they'll stay together or have the same texture. I'm sorry!!
Not sure if this helps, but I buy my erythritol from Amazon (here's a link to the brand I use):
https://www.amazon.com/Swerve-Sweetener-Confectioners-12-oz/dp/B0079OYIFS
Good luck!!
I like to use liquid sucralose (brand name EZ-Sweetz, Amazon (USA) link): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003LECIDE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_aGTTDbG5P0S2M
These are the little bottles that fit nicely in a pocket or purse. For me, one drop is sufficient to sweeten a 12-ounce cup of coffee. I carry a bottle everywhere I go and put it in all my unsweetened beverage. Best part, it’s carb-free cause it’s just sucralose without the fillers that come in those little powder packets (Splenda, the yellow packet, is the sweetener packet with sucralose). Score! 😊
I agree. The classic granule version of Lakanto sweetener is good for recipes, but isn't the best for coffee. You should try the Lakanto liquid monkfruit extract for coffee. I use this in my bulletproof coffee and find it has little to no aftertaste. Since Costco does not carry the extract, I get if from Amazon.
My dad isn't allowed to have any sugar either, and instead, he uses a drop or two of stevia sweeteners (in the bottle). Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Sweet-Drops-SweetLeaf-Sweetener-SteviaClear/dp/B00GRY33AC/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2H435LE2A2VDZ&dchild=1&keywords=stevia+sweet+drops&qid=1602084443&sprefix=stevia+sweetn%2Caps%2C-1&sr=8-5
It's supposed to be way healthier than regular sugar, maybe ask your doctor about it? This may be far-fetched, but what if you put a bit of stevia in sparkling water to imitate soda? I have no clue how it would taste, but maybe it's worth a try!
Milk? Assuming you’re lactose or it counts as sugar. But coconut milk probably also has sugar. Everything good does, except coffee lol. But if you really want a sweetener, try monk fruit sweetener. One of the few things Keto has made popular and available online and at many grocers, including Costco. Great for keto and anyone looking to have a natural sugar alternative. Hope it works for you.
You can also just get into black coffee
I order mine on Amazon! The Lakanto brand is great.
if you don't mind a few calories, the most convenient option is "0 calorie" sweetener packets: Splenda, Sweet N Low, Equal, or the generic equivalent. These have 4 calories per packet. You can get them at any grocery store.
If you want 0 calories, then grab a liquid artificial sweetener. way cheaper on amazon than in stores.
Get drops. Sucradrops brand sucralose drops available here are great. A 4 ounce bottle for $15 is 2300+ servings.
Try adding some liquid sucralose to your Bubly, I use Ezsweetz but my mom just bought Splenda Zero which was similar and can be found at places like Wal-Mart and such.
I PROMISE you, I've had the same issues. I've experimented A LOT the past 2 weeks. But what I'm about to drop on you here will (hopefully) make life a little better! I HATE artificial sweeteners and stevia/truvia/stevia in the raw, etc. But then I found a monk fruit/erythritol sweetener and all is well in my world again! This chocolate mug cake recipe with this sweetener are just what the Dr. ordered! I can enjoy a cup of coffee and a little sweet treat here and there with that sweetener now! It's not bitter, there's no after taste. It tastes juuust like sugar. And if coconut flour isn't your thing, don't worry, that recipe doesn't have a coconutty flavor at all! I plan on making it for dessert tonight so I'll post a pic later
Yeah, I usually swap stevia for liquid sucralose. Or, if it's baked goods, I'll use erythritol. I prefer the powdered form because the granular stuff doesn't always dissolve unless it's under high heat.
This is the one I get: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0079OYIFS
Sorry, I don't have that bitter tasting gene, so Stevia just tastes sweet to me. I think people have said liquid is better than powdered, though. You could try Monkfruit like Lakanto brand.
