A capacitive stylus is what you're looking for. This is the one I got, it works amazingly with SMM2. There's probably others worth looking at too though!
Not gloves. But have you considered using a stylus?
10 pack for 7$. Listed weight is 3oz so each style is roughly .3oz/9gams. 4.5in long so could probably be placed in your pants/jacket pocket without obstruction or you could clip it you your sternum/shoulder strap. Would be more accurate/reliable than gloves and could be be used with thicker gloves.
I have no experience with these exact styli, or any for that matter. This is something I've recently been considering for myself.
I use the Lamy Al-Star EMR: https://www.amazon.com/Lamy-AL-star-Digital-Stylus-Black/dp/B07ZQK8H1V/
It's thicker than the S7 pen and feels great in the hand. Some things worth mentioning: 1. It's not magnetic 2. The nibs that come with it are soft, but not as soft as the soft S7 nibs. But you can easily replace the OEM nibs with hard ones 3. It comes with a cap WITH a clip. So, even though it's not magnetized, you could glue an elastic loop on the back of the S7 and use the clip to secure the pen to the back of the tablet 4. When you're using the pen, you can stick the cap to the butt-end of the pen. But i find this adversely affects the balance of the pen 5. It has an eraser button, but i don't think you can program it for other functions
When I sold my Surface Pro 3 awhile back, I moved to an old android tablet for my notes and found these on Amazon. I've had a great experience with these so far and it's nice having the choice between the fine tip or the rounded side for jotting notes down quickly.
I use the MEKO stylus from Amazon on my Fire HD 8. Works completely fine if you can get use to using a stylus on a smooth glass surface. Used my Fire 8 for each of my college classes using OneNote throughout the entire semester.
The only problem is the Fire 8 has a pretty small screen and I can't really write in a small font so I was dragging along the page after every 5-6 words and I had to learn to write without resting my palm on the screen. A Fire HD 10 would of been better I feel personally for the extra room to write.
Another note is if you're going to use OneNote to write use the app from the Amazon Store because there's input lag when using the Google Play Store app and it makes it super annoying to write.
Protip for anyone considering the Onzow Zerodust, it's way cheaper on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/ZERODUST-ONZOW-STYLUS-TIP-CLEANER/dp/B00ERPWAK2
Also here's a video on how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0wDNztrZrU
It's actually a pretty sweet product, I just bought one.
well I bought model 80X7001VUS ,which i believe is just the 16gb/512 version of this one.Bought this active capacity pen from amazon and it works great https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-GX80K32882-Active-Capacity-Pen/dp/B01AZC3HF2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492094917&sr=8-1&keywords=lenovo+active+pen+2
Any stylus for capacitive touch screens will work.
You can try the Amazon Basics one
I think there are even cheaper options on Amazon as well. You just need to look for Styluses with that round black nib.
I have an amazing stylus that has a flexible tip with a plastic disk so you can use it like a normal pen/pencil. The brand name is Digiroot, I’ll see if I can find it on amazon.
Here it is.
I upgraded my old IPad Air to a newer one this past spring for the purpose of school (nursing student) and it really depends on what you plan on using your iPad for. I did a bunch of research before deciding to get this stylus that’s comparable to the Apple Pencil. I’ll post a link below for reference; only $30, so great pricing but again, depends on what you plan on using your iPad for. I use mine with my stylus pencil daily for note taking, highlighting, etc. and I’ve been very happy with this stylus pencil. It connects automatically to my iPad via Bluetooth, the battery lasts for a very long time, recharging doesn’t take very long, and replacement tips for the stylus are reasonably priced. Another factor to consider is, depending on the iPad you purchased, do you need the first or second generation Apple Pencil. Depending on your intended use, you may benefit from getting the second generation pencil if your iPad requires it. Link to Amazon for Stylus Pen
would a coin work? I thought it had to be a special material? I was thinking take one of those styluses cut it down, drill into it and attach the solenoid somehow, I'd probably just carefully glue it.
Hey everyone. I currently have the 8th gen iPad and I'm interested in an apple pencil. The problem is I don't want to pay $100 for one, especially if I do not know if I'll actually use it. I found this little guy on amazon and was wondering if anyone has used it. It has 4.5 stars and over 55,600 reviews so I assume it is decent. I do not want to waste $100 on an item but don't mind wasting $30 if you get my drift. Thanks for your feedback.
I got this stylus pen ( looked something like that but I didn't buy it on Amazon) but it did not work on my computer so I started playing around with pliers and when I bint it looked like a chips bag so I printed out the label and got some acrylic paint to paint the sealed.
For those interested in the ONZOW ZeroDust - Stylus Cleaner based on my comment on the stylus brush thread, here is a pic of the two I have after spinning 8 vintage LPs that had been first washed in A SpinClean vinyl cleaner & dried with a buttery-soft microfiber cloth sold for waxing cars. I caught the silicone in the light to reflect back & show the gunk left behind (it is mostly white or light grey, not dark as it looks in the pic) from spinning those 16 sides. They really work great. And, I wash them with distilled water & a drop of sports clothes detergent that leaves no residue, and they are good to go again....
I had the Note 7, and was using it for signature capture with clients for a couple of weeks before returning it. I got spoiled by the stylus for it, and went on a hunt for something I could use on my old phone (One M8).
I found these on Amazon and have been very happy with them. The fine point end makes for a nice clean signature.
I looked at the Samsung Plus/Pro Chromebook but I heard mixed reviews on the keyboard and travel distance between the keys. My currently Asus Tf700 with the keyboard has great travel and I love it, so I'm making a safe assumption that this one is good too.
As for writing on the screen on my current Asus TF700, I've learned to deal with lack of palm rejection. i bought a Meko Stylus on Amazon and it's worked very well so far. The only difficult thing is writing fast as I can't write fast since my wrist is floating. Otherwise, it's not too bad at all.
The Pixelbook does seem to be a price hike. I looked in their subreddit and I haven't seen too many controversial reviews but some have some bugs here and there. If it goes on special Black Friday I may consider the lower tier one as I don't need more than 128GB of storage.
Lenovo Active Pen (1) is currently being sold on Amazon for $26. Probably the least expensive Wacom AES pen available.
Mind that unless it's the 8th-gen Inspiron 15 7000, then only the Inspiron 15 7568 FHD supports a pen.
I'm not sure about the iPhone stylus. I have a Note 9 and that stylus doesn't work on the Switch for some reason. I bought this on Amazon for use with my Switch.

>I don't even have the meaty masculine hands of a real man
I laughed out loud at this. It's been a long day at work, and this made my day better.
The switch needs a capacitive stylus. I recommend the amazon basics stylus. It has 3 different sized points.
Some might think $8 is too much for a stylus though, but I can say this one feels great and is high quality.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008HJGPVO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Otherwise, you can probably find one at the dollar store or wherever for cheap.
For something more accurate, Ive seen people recommend these types as well, as despite the disk at the tip, the system only registers the fine point in the center of it.
How advanced of a stylus do you need?
I got something similar to this on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0831BF1FH/
Please do NOT buy that one. It’s way too overpriced. I watched a YouTube video where some guy got something like that from Alibaba and paid ~$12 USD. Mine was about 20 but I got one day shipping. They’re all clones of one another.
I also ended up buying a 2nd gen Apple Pencil and it honestly isn’t to different. I am not a pro user by any means though.
Wait so a pen is included?
I ordered it on amazon, and ordered this pen separately

Definitely looks like the needle! You shouldn't be able to see buildup, or it will affect the sound.
I also prefer the onzow stuff, got it on amazon for under $30 http://www.amazon.com/ZERODUST-ONZOW-STYLUS-TIP-CLEANER/dp/B00ERPWAK2/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1441220735&sr=8-3&keywords=record+needle+cleaner
I've used brushes and magic eraser, the oznow works best for me and is super easy.
I've read that the magic eraser can leave cleaning solution on the needle and mess it up over time, though I never used it long enough to find out.
I'm sure you'll love it as much as I am. Pairs well with this Shure cart. All I need left is some decent speakers (using cheap altec computer speakers at the moment) and a receiver. What TT are you upgrading from?
The Shure M97xE is very popular and reasonably priced.
If your budget is real tight, the Audio Technica AT95E isn't bad.
Cartridge compliance (stiffness of the needle suspension aka cantilever) needs to be suited for your tonearm mass for best performance, e.g. a very stiff cantilever won't like a super light tonearm and a highly flexible one won't like a heavy one, but most 1/2" cartridge will work just fine with your medium mass Denon arm, including the two I mentioned. Your Denon requires what's known as a 1/2" cartridge which is the most common type, and both of those fit that bill.
The variety and price range is nearly limitless with 1/2" cartridges, and up to a rather high price point you actually get what you pay for with them, so let your budget be your guide. I wouldn't try to go cheaper than what I've suggested, but you can certainly spend more. For now though, until you're comfortable with what you like and don't like in a cartridge, you can't go wrong with either of those two. If you can afford the Shure, I'd go that route. They have a bit of a soft presentation in the upper frequencies that I always found pleasant and because of that, they're more forgiving of old (but clean) thrift shop vinyl than some.
Edit: Your Denon seems to be missing its headshell where you mount the cartridge. Have you got that somewhere among your stuff?
I'm with you, drives me insane. Although wishing the worst human atrocities on that human being runs through my brain, of course, I don't say a word. Hell, they probably don't even know that their repeated screen stabbings resonate so well through the seat.
Made me think though, I'm going to add a few of these pens to my travel bag to give to people next time this happens to me. Here's to hoping!

I'd say not especially, unless it was one of the relatively few 10.5" Pros produced in 2019 (the device itself was introduced in 2017, discontinued in early 2019). Also, keep in mind that Apple doesn't provide battery health stats in iPadOS (only in iOS, who knows why...), so you'll need to download a third party app like iMazing to even see battery health.
In any case, from Apple's perspective, the 10.5" iPad Pro will soon be a 6 year-old device. The Pros do get software updates somewhat longer than Airs and much longer than base iPads, but I wouldn't expect more than around 2 additional years of software updates for this particular device.
Moreover, it's not much more to get an Apple-refurbished 2020 iPad Air or iPad Pro, and those devices come with:
It's more initial outlay for sure, but one of the refurb options linked above will last longer and perform better in both the short and long term. If you're not looking to do art/content creation on your iPad (i.e. just notes and markups), save a buck and go with a third party option that lacks pressure sensitivity (but still supports tilt, palm rejection, etc.).
Hi. I bought one of these laptops recently, and purchased the RENAISSER Raphael 520 stylus to go with it. It was about $30 on Amazon. Works great. A bit laggy if you want to try write with it, but I'm using it for photoshop masking kind of work, so beats carting round a graphics tablet on the road. Hope this helps.
Here's the stylus I bought;

Ones like the one attached with circle at the end seem to work well on Samsung A tablets and Fire Tables. https://www.amazon.com/MEKO-Universal-Precision-Capacitive-Replacement/dp/B00N1BRWLA/ref=sxin_15_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.dfb69b7f-0c77-4124-a5d0-05887808d5d6%3Aamzn1.sym.dfb69b7f-0c77-4124-a5d0-05887808d5d6&crid=35OHPG6NDA4V8&cv_ct_cx=generic%2Bstylus%2Bpen%2Bwith%2Bcircle&keywords=generic%2Bstylus%2Bpen%2Bwith%2Bcircle&pd_rd_i=B00N1BRWLA&pd_rd_r=957e17cb-54f0-47f6-b446-e4c2b37b6b93&pd_rd_w=FcMry&pd_rd_wg=2wuq1&pf_rd_p=dfb69b7f-0c77-4124-a5d0-05887808d5d6&pf_rd_r=17N82DBK58JGY5NDQZB4&qid=1670262163&sprefix=generic%2Bstylus%2Bpen%2Bwith%2Bcircle%2Caps%2C79&sr=1-20-bb4842f6-7db0-410d-8e58-ed475f3f7b54-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyU1VKTTYzNDFTTUpNJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDgwNzQwMUJLUzBHRlM1RzJTRCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNjg4ODg1RUlWNVlRMkZZOVBFJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3Bfc2VhcmNoX3RoZW1hdGljJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
I use my trackpad for computer activities constantly. However, I use a stylus like these ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IHBVGOM?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_ypp_rep_k0_1_3&amp=&crid=1762HNSVLE17&amp=&sprefix=sty
These styluses also work on tablets and smartphones.
Holding a pen/stylus is much easier on my hand than using a regular mouse or fingertips on the trackpad.
