There's a character like this in the 'Infected' series of books by P.S. Power. It's a superhero book. The character's name is Penny and she is invisible and unable to be viewed by cameras, etc. I always enjoy a good superhero book. :)

You guys should check out The Lives of Tao by Wesley Chu if you like the premise in the OP. The sequel is pretty bomb too.

I would hazard a guess from searching for it that Baen has not released ebooks for 13-15.
