There’s one for about $8, but a 5” fan would be a laugh
Get this guy. Rotate it so it's blowing upwards and slap your helmet on top to dry it out/keep it cool between sessions.
god, honeywell black fan. i first got it, the dam thing was $15 a 15" fan or so and just a vortex amazing little bugger. i buy the same unit for twice the price, 10 years later after college and suddenly it's highest setting is worse than the lowest setting of my old one. its weaker than ever and can't blow for crap.
a huge shame because the original one was mighty wonderful for it's size. while the current version is only helpful if you have a few rogue unused tissues.

This usually pops up on /r/steampunk every so often. They say its a fake that you can buy from here:
https://www.amazon.com/Antique-Blades-Steam-Working-Vintage/dp/B07GVG46NW
Last time it was linked that while there were mechanical fans in 1845, they were usually kept to draw air out of, or push air into, mines and were much larger.
I just bought this fan and put in front of my face (works great): https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-HT-908-Turbo-Force-Circulator/dp/B001R1Q0OG/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=honeywell+turbo+fan&qid=1608194310&sprefix=honeywell+turbo&sr=8-2
DIY yourself a redneck air-conditioner.
Or get a Vornado off amazon. I have one of these
I have a portable fan I put either on my table or down on the floor. Link to item on Amazon. I get lots of compliments on it from guests and photographers.
I also bring 3 changes of clothes. One to setup in, one to perform in, and one to tear down/drive home in.
I pack a roll of paper towels, but my next gig this weekend (outdoor barn venue in Georgia) I am bringing a small towel. The paper towels get soaked instantly and sometimes leave lint on my face.
Lastly, I would recommend dressing up in vest, shirt, and tie only if the clients requested it. My go-to is dress slacks and a golf style polo (the dry thread type). I got 3 of them at Sam's for $20 each and they are sharp. I have some long sleeve button down shirts that don't show sweat much I will wear if I want to really dress up. I have yet to wear a tie.
Don't be shy about how hard you are working. Other vendors and guests understand. If they see you pushing through it and not letting up they will be more inclined to party, too!
Good luck and stay hydrated!
yea the hurricane 6 inch that everyone gets was sold out but this lil bugger is pretty decent. Has a low and high speed and it’s like half the price
We went through something similar and just ended up getting a small fan that we blew into the crate, and then we took out blankets and just put a towel in there because it doesn't retain much heat. You can also put frozen things in there like a frozen kong (doesn't even need to have food in it, just acting as like an ice pack) and maybe a couple ice cubes.
Here is mine:

I only use it while testing the drives before shucking though. Usually doing three drives at once until they successfully complete preclear on unraid. With the fan, the temperatures remain well within reason.
I just use a little honeywell office fan, $14 on amazon
I got one of these off of amazon and it's pretty good for the price. There's a larger 15 inch model.
If the factory is super hot + humid and you'd probably want to invest in a blower fan.
I started with a neat fan that wraps around the handlebars, too, but then I got a Vornado 660 and ... the Vornado (I'm going to say it) blows away the little handlebar fan I thought was perfectly adequate. It's more of a "full" breeze feeling, but not overwhelming and not terribly loud imo. https://smile.amazon.com/Vornado-CR1-0121-06-Large-Whole-Circulator/dp/B0025QKUE8?ref_=ast_sto_dp
Assuming you have quick access to the outdoors in a place that you can get a little messy.
This will both help the roast cool more quickly and blow off all the chaff that you don't want. Don't worry too much about the chaff lying around, it will blow away naturally within 24 hours, or do and sweep it up. This process worked well for me before upgrading to a Behmor.
Then maybe you need a nice fan.
My room is above the garage, it gets to be 80+ at night with the AC running. The addition of this fan has made my nights way more comfortable.

There are some people selling the mounts on IG and around reddit if you don't have access to a 3d printer
Hardly anywhere any more. I actually had to order my dual hose off Amazon a couple of years back, and looking there now I don't see it listed any longer. The only place I find it online is the US Home Depot, Canadian one doesn't carry them. Maybe they'll ship to Canada? Another option is some smaller appliance shops might have them? There was Forum Appliances in the Vancouver area that had them last year when I was in there looking for something else.
And that is the one I own, it works well but it's loud. So what I usually do is set it up in the spare bedroom and let it blast out to its hearts content and use a couple of these fans at the door to the spare room to circulate the air into the rest of the condo. Works pretty well and I don't go deaf.
These work great Slip one up top and one on the ground. Bounce the stream off the side of the tent so you do wind burns your girls.

Sounds to me like your father overreacted to something completely harmless.
Although if he's worried about "wasting electricity" at that level, then money must be pretty tight. Would another family member be able to help you out maybe?
You might want to consider ordering one on Amazon if you have the means. I saw this one:
https://www.amazon.ca/Honeywell-HT900C-Force%C2%AE-Circulator-Eco-Friendly/dp/B00JE36AQ2/
for 25 CAD, which is about 20 USD

My last Pennsic I had this fan and will never be without it again. Had to replace the batteries once in 6 days of almost constant usage.

This thing is just cool.
It's posted, but I grabbed the link anyways:

This is the one I use!
Yeah just one of these.
Only so much cooling can be done without airflow. The vornado fans specifically funnel air from one end of the room to the other at like 15-30 feet.

Buy one, put it under your mini split, point it down the middle of your bus, and the whole thing will be a lot cooler.

This saved my life freshmen year. Anything Honeywell is generally good
whats your ambient? i feel like thats too high for idle. Might need to repaste your cpu.
Try this at your door: https://www.amazon.com/Vornado-CR1-0121-06-Large-Whole-Circulator/dp/B0025QKUE8/ref=sr_1_2?crid=3G07GUFGTA2GW&keywords=vornado&sprefix=vornado%2Caps%2C150&sr=8-2
They sell some battery-operated fans, and some include a USB port to charge devices. Something like these:
