Below is a summary of what is in the picture. While the emulation options are nowhere near as good as those on Android or Windows, Retroarch does allow me to play any 8 and 16 bit game I want on iOS. And I have iPadOS 13 beta, so I can now take advantage of PS4/Xbox controller support.
So far, I've been able to play SNES, NES, and Genesis games flawlessly, and the save states work great. Retroarch does have cores for Saturn and PSX, but I haven't been successful in playing a PSX game because it crashes. But I'm not disappointed, just the fact that I can play 16 bit games on my iPad is awesome.
Tablet: iPad Mini 5
Controller: Playstation 4 Controller
Operating System: iPadOS 13 Beta 2
Emulator: Retroarch 1.7.7
Game: Super Mario World (Super Nintendo)
I've been using this tablet stand for quite some time for the iPads in my household. I also keep one folded up in my work travel backpack as it holds my iPad securely even during light/medium turbulence at a variety of angles much better than the magnetic cover does. Last night I decided to try my Nintendo Switch in it and I am QUITE pleased with the angles it allows and how securely it holds the device and best of all... It's $8.99 on Amazon!

Edited -- Charging Questions:
Unfortunately, you cannot charge the Switch while it's sitting in the stand unless you sort of prop the stand up (I used a pack of crackers in this instance). This, however, isn't that bad since you get so many angles of adjustment you can easily fix the angle back to whatever you like while it's propped up to easily view & charge. I don't know if getting a 90 degree angle adapter would alleviate this or not as the ones I have seen seem to still stick out quite far from the bottom of the switch.
I use this one. It’s great, and looks pretty sleek
I have been looking into getting some stands for my keebs for a while now. This is a tablet stand from Amazon Basic. Very happy with them. They are very solid and offer much flexibility in positioning and they hold the position they are fixed to. They also have a soft, foam-link padding where the stand meets the keyboard frame.
I have an arm that holds my Switch over my bed so I can lay down and play with a joy con in each hand. I'd say I play that way 50% of the time. It's great because a lot of the time I am a little tired after work and don't enjoy games as much if I have to sit up in my chair.
Every time I consider getting a game on PC I have to ask myself whether I'm ok with only being able to play it sitting upright.
Not exactly what you have pictured, but I use one of these: Amazon Basics Tablet Stand
I tutor virtually using FaceTime and Skype, and I need very precise angles based on what I'm presenting. It can adjust angles as close as a few degrees at a time. It is very compact, portable, and inexpensive. It can hold an iPad at a vertical angle if you use a Smart Cover to counterbalance.
Got it off Amazon for $20 - Lamicall Tablet Stand
Works great on the desk, and good at keeping it off the counter in the kitchen. Definitely a no-frills sorta stand though.
If its not then maybe a solution could be this?
Then clamp it to the front of the hitbox? You could also take the clamp off it and maybe use just the frame? But then you'd be drilling into the hitbox and that's a little iffy since it may not hold very well.
I have this one. It works well. You can see that I'm using it in this post.
Try the Mayoga tablet holder... I purchased it a while back... It's solid and very simple. Seems to hold up just fine and won't break the bank.
Have you thought of just using a stand? This one from Amazon has served me since my original iPad Air. IF you want something more substantial, TelveSouth makes a nice stand.
This is the one I bought for my 12.9” and it handles it in portrait mode as well as landscape mode. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074J159V5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I had another one but when I put my IPP in portrait mode that stand would become unstable but with the one above it has handled it very well.
I got this clamp mount from amazon and it's very good. It comes with multiple size "jaws" that you can use, which should fit any size iPad. Here's a photo of how I have mine on my C2.
It's a cheap tablet stand I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Adjustable-Tablet-Holder-Stand/dp/B006ZT4VA0
It's pretty nice and has no problem holding up even my heaviest board (8lbs 1oz)!

Amazon’s stand. $11 and it collapses small to put in a bag/pocket. I use this stand with a coverless case on my oasis, allows me to still see my book covers while protecting it.
Thank you for the info!!! My iPad is the 11” M1 iPad Pro that released just little while ago. The arm I’m using to hold it up is the UGREEN Tablet Holder from Amazon! It’s currently holding up pretty well, if you ask me. Haven’t had any problems with it. If you do end up purchasing it, I hope you have the same experience I’m currently having with it!!!
Here’s the link to the arm:

The car facing side should be a hook for the vents with springs. Anything else will make you regret it for the rest of your life.
The middle is typically a ball joint to give you viewing angles. Some are better than others, slightly.
The phone facing side depends on your preference. A simple spring clamp works well. Some have buttons for quick hold and quick release. Magnetic also but you typically need a magnetic case.

This stand has been great for my mom for her phone and tablet. It can also hold up flashcards for therapy and collapses to a really convenient to store/carry. It's not the same as holding the phone, but can be a good option if there is an over the bed table that he uses.
It's mounted to the tripod using a cheap tablet holder, its a bit janky but does the trick, feels secure enough even if it does wobble about a bit when using the touch screen. Sure, its not as good as a teleprompter but for £25 i think it's a decent solution. I'll link the one I have below, got it for around £25 on amazon.
You can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4719793
I used the hinges from this tablet holder: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074J159V5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If the latest falls in your budget, I’d go that route. Otherwise, Swappa is a very dependable place to buy used (if you’re in the US) and just get the newest you can safely fit in your budget.
And a stand like this one that is adjustable will be super handy: https://www.amazon.com/Tablet-Stand-Adjustable-Lamicall-Reader/dp/B01DBV1OKY/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=Pad+stand&qid=1610419874&sr=8-3
Good luck!
The amazon basics stand is pretty good, though only available in the US i think. https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-IPM-TAB1-AMZ-Adjustable-Tablet-Stand/dp/B006ZT4VA0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1488132239&sr=8-3&keywords=tablet+stand
While I was waiting on the Hori stand, I've been using the amazon stand which to me is pretty great. It's small, portable, and the bottom of the legs are lined with the non slip grip. When I play voetz I have a small piece of non slip to put on top of the legs so the switch won't move.
Got home tried the hori stand and unfortunately its too big to fit my current setup. I'll still use it, but probably not as much.
I’ve ordered this from amazon: Link Still waiting for it’s delivery so I can’t review it for you but I’ve watched great YouTube reviews on it.
I love the cases on my iPads. I love how minimal it is yet protective. (Although not super protective) I have this stand but I’d prefer this stand but I haven’t been able to talk myself into a $30 tablet stand.
I have tried many many different stands for my iPads and have found this one to be the best: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074J159V5/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_h91HFbPVYDTZM. I have purchased several of these...great for my iPad Pro 12.9 and it works well with my Max Lumi too.
Are you looking for the one that came free with the Max Lumi when you order the device from the Boox Shop? Amazon has a similar one here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006ZT4VA0/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_J01HFbRWQ5BZZ...but there are so many better ones.
Excellent stand. I recall paying the 30 bucks but it's on sale right now for 26. Highly recommended.
I bought this one it works in portrait and landscape mode. MAYOGA Tablet Holder for Car Mount, Car Air Vent Mount, Tablet car Mount, Universal Tablet Stand Car Mount Compatible with 4-10.5" iPhone/Cellphone, Tablet/iPad pro, Mini, air 2/Galaxy Tab/Kindle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FZ5QW66/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_apa_i_MX5zFbN7JBHH7
I am myself considering this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074J159V5/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?
I previously purchased the Lamicall stand, but wound up having to bend the non-jointed part lower to keep it from tipping backwards with my Pro 10.5.
Having two points of articulation seems like a better idea, now.
