One more question, what paracord did you use? I think I read one of your comments saying it was $10 on Amazon, was it this stuff?
Considering doing a burnt orange version but saw some mixed reviews about the quality of their cord (internal knotting).
for the last 5 years. Strong and never had an issue. I strongly recommend this product.
Get some cool paracord in whatever colors you like, cut to 12" lengths, and use a lighter to burn/seal the ends. I got a big ass-spool of this and I'm set for the next 300 boards I buy:
Just snip the end off and pull the strands out:

Is there a reason why you want plasma brand line in particular?
I understand that if you're using rope for industrial applications you want the security of a name brand product, but for camping I don't see the point.
There are plenty of other brand that offer UHMWPE lines in that diameter, you often see them marketing for things like kites or spear fishing. Here's one example: https://www.amazon.com/emma-kites-Suspension-Backpacking-Recreational/dp/B06XTPQCRZ
Any line that has a hollow braid can be spliced, the amount of strands does not change that. However, I've done some splicing on 1.75mm zing-it, and it was quite difficult. I couldn't imagine splicing 1mm or smaller line. You would have to have very good dexterity and vision.
This is what I used but it's a ton of work.
I've been using this one for about 3 years, it's still going strong
I really like the locking mechanism
Try what? Stringing a crossbolt with paracord? It will stretch like 1 to 2 mm.
Here's some shock cord though if you want to restring a crossbolt.
Paracord Planet 1/8" Shock Cord in Various Colors - Choose from 10, 25, 50, and 100 Feet, Made in USA https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HAMI6R0/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_W60zwb8MFDRV9
I believe it's the 1/8th stuff that you want, I think I have 3/16th and it gets squished to fit through the slot in the shell, though I suppose you could always widen the slot.
In Gold and Black camo. Or You can do black on your center cords, and gold nugget on the outer.
My keys have been on this locking carabiner for the last 4 years. I've had my keys come off my belt loop several times before I bought this. The spring is softer than when I got it, but it is still strong enough to snap closed.
Are you handy at all? I made my roll bar handles and they turned out great and look fantastic! Here is the guide I followed. I made my red and black but you could make his any color you'd like and as long as you keep everything tight as you go, they turn out really, really nice.
Here is the paracord you need.
You could get away spending about $20 and they would be thoughtful.
My only note is that the lengths are a bit long according to his measurements. Shorten them up and test around the roll bar before you start the braiding.
May I ask why it needs to be Mil Spec Type IV? or are you just looking to give it a try?, do you specifically need it for the strength?
I was advised on here by Mornsbarstool to try out some 550 Paracord Type III Commercial 7 Strand by Wild Elk.
I've heard other good reviews about this since then, If I do find anything I will let you know.
Knowing, as I do, a few things about rope, I'd estimate that it's strength to weight ratio would place it firmly in the 'fairly shit' category. However, I can tell you with wholehearted enthusiasm that the Wild Elk Paracord sold on Amazon is absolutely fucking brilliant, and I never set off to camp without a fresh roll. It's almost endlessly reusable, lightweight, strong as an ox and even comes in an outdoors-friendly forest camo colour-scheme. The best £7 you'll ever spend on cord, I promise. This is not the bullshit-on-a-roll stuff, this is the real deal. I've owned a couple of ex-military parachutes and this stuff is better than the original cords.
I got them here, but they appear to be out of stock. I believe I've seen the same ones on eBay for cheap though.
Or, for the outdoorsman, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/recon6watch/worlds-first-14-in-1-multi-tool-adventure-and-surv
But I really want them to integrate the features of this little fucker.
>status of the Eruv?
I recommend 550. Seriously, it's the best.
