Was it this one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VHJJRNJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_PW77SJ0PR41XVM7R0GB5 I just searched ‘honeycomb lights’ on Amazon
I dig that above cabinet lighting. Now I have another project lol. I saw some battery LED's on Amazon that look pretty good and control via a remote but I was thinking I'd like to be able to automate them.
Here's what I'm leaning towards just because it looks so easy:
Yes, if the power supply is 12 volts DC, you can use a battery with it. A question answered on the page says it's a DC supply but I wasn't sure what the connector type was.
You will need to get a 12volt DC battery for it. Maybe one for little kid's cars or something. Go go the toy section.
Frankly, I'd just put an LED stick up (push light) in there, which uses 2-3 AA batteries, and be done with it. I chose this one because it has a metal base you screw to something (your suit case top) and a magnet base on the light you stick to the metal base. Then you can take off the light and use it in other places. And it's really bright. I have this one.
kind of like these, i searched battery powered disk light and there's lots of different options including remote operated ones even (just linking the closest to what I described but the others seem maybe even better, also I'm on mobile excuse the chunky link)
idk if there are the exact same but it’s worked fairly well for me!! these are the lights i have those would prolly work might not be the biggest plant but also why not give it a shot. like ekrof said it would be at least good for side lighting
Got them on amazon, here’s the link:
But you could probably found some cheaper ones that work just as good, so definitely look around, I just really wanted them quickly because I have no patience
I really like these but each takes 3 AAA batteries so I need some rechargeable ones. If you check my profile and scroll down there's some lamps with it installed. Tap Light Push Lights... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07S8RWJ71?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I popped these on a bookshelf I no longer use and place the guy under. At least 12 inches max between top of plant and the lights.
I just added two battery powered, touch activated GE Puck lights.

I just stuck one of these up the lamp shade - comes with sticky pad and push bulb on/off (70mm diameter, 26mm deep. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07S8RWJ71/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_dl_Q6TQ72NVZXA8G4DBT9HT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I love these lights so much. They’re small enough that it’s not too overpowering and turn on/off by pressing them

For more expensive ones that need to be hard-wired, IKEA's Norfly (not sure on spelling) are great.

I also got some smaller "puck" sized ones I plan on affixing to the shelves in my on-order Detölf units. These: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JTA4QXI
Amazon cheapos. I have not run one all the way down but I would guess I have over 8 hours from my testing thus far and they are still bright.
Thank you! I ordered them from Amazon

I’ve had these in my bathroom setup for a little over 2 months and they’ve been fantastic for me! I use 3 for my first two shelves and then I have 2 on the third. They’re about 6”-8” away on my 1st and 3rd shelves, about 10”-12” on my 2nd. My compacta’s new growth is coming out beautifully sun stressed at this point and it’s on the 1st shelf. I’m slowly working the timing up to 12 hours. I’m on 10 currently and will be moving up to 11 soon. Have to turn them on/off manually since you can’t adjust the auto-timer, but I’d rather do that for a few weeks than burn my plants going from 6 to 12 hours right away. 😬
The lights are from Amazon and the wrist rest is from etsy.
This is the best one I think I may have found so far, but is 15 inches long, so it doesn't cover the full area, but unsure if it could produce enough light to grow the ends.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086R14MFW/ref=twister_B08KVX1N82?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
OP said 2018.
I would just recommend something like this https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01JF94TSU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_92H1PH06K6JRGT87XG87
If you wanted something that turns on only when the tailgate is lifted then you would need to splice an LED strip, perhaps, into the rear cargo light wiring that is already present.
I really like these. We just stuck these over the changing area and use the remote to switch it in at 50%. Best of all, they’re a ton cheaper.

So far, it's been sitting on my desk for 3 months and the mounting tape and light itself show no signs of degradation, but I'll continue to monitor. Here are the ones I bought:

Stick on puck lights that are battery operated could work. The middle of it is a button that you press to turn it on and off. Here is an example: Limited-time deal: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SD3T8M1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_5H6E12DJCNCZ0A2H8H1V
I have these lights. If you are using something like a bookshelf, you can stick a light on each one. I highly recommend using rechargeable batteries with these so you don't eat through normal batteries. I also recommend screwing these in if possible. The double sided sticky tape it comes with is kinda weak.
cool, would love to see how it goes! currently found this:
maybe I can just use a single row up close?

Check these out these. Just got them for my grow. That way I don't need to worry as much getting light to the bottom bud sites.
Hi! So the lights I like the most come from Amazon. puck lights
They are battery powered, I’ve been running them about 6 hours a day, everyday for 3 weeks so far and I don’t need a battery change yet.
I should also mention that when I cast this piece, I left some negative space in the bottom. The lights are about 2.5 inches wide and 3/4 inch tall. So leave a space in your cast and the light fits perfectly.
