I have an imperial version that I use and love
Hey OP, May I suggest getting a tape measure?
Something like this:
2 Pack Tape Measure Measuring Tape for Body Fabric Sewing Tailor Cloth Knitting Vinyl Home Craft Measurements, 60-Inch Soft Fashion Pink & Retractable Black Double Scales Rulers for Body Weight Loss https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WG5B464/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZSGSN366YEMQW22XWXJM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sorry I don’t know how to shorten the link. But, you can measure yourself like every month or so.
I thought this was super nice and expensive like all the Knipex posts...$10 for this on Amazon seems like a steal! (UNLESS IT’S a different version?)
You really need a tape that is metric only then! Having both metric and imperial on one tape caused me so many headaches. I bought this one, but I live in imperial land so working in metric was just a headache. Tape was great though.
I'm sorry--that sounds really frustrating.
If you don't have one of these, (or something similar) https://www.amazon.com/AccuFitness-MT05-MyoTape-Body-Measure/dp/B000G7YW7Y/ref=sr_1_1_sspa I highly recommend it. Makes it much easier to do measurements on your own
For future measurements, doing it "correctly" isn't as important as doing it the same way each time (barring using the Navy calc). So take good notes on where you're putting the tape. Print out a silhouette of a person and draw lines on them if you're a visual person. Then at least you know that your measurement of your upper arm (for example) is the same each time and you can watch the trend as you go.
My experience with carnivore is that I’ll more easily put on some muscle if I do even moderate exercise while really sticking to the diet and eating mostly beef.
Muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle looks good, even on women, while fat generally does not look good.
You may also see some small weight gain from other healing, such as increased bone density.
Weight gain from bone density and muscle growth is not “hindering” weight loss, however — because what you really (really) want is something that you associate with weight loss, not the actual weight loss itself.
The thing you really want is to be smoking hot, have rippling abdominals, and to look good naked.
So the correct way to measure changes in your body on the carnivore diet is to combine a bathroom scale with a tailor’s tape measure (also called a body tape measure).
If the circumference of your waist goes down while the bathroom scale shows that you gained a pound, then that is a really good sign.

Smart Tape Measure Body with App - RENPHO Bluetooth Measuring Tapes for Body Measuring, Weight Loss, Muscle Gain, Fitness Bodybuilding, Retractable, Measures Body Part Circumferences, Inches & cm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082W886W9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_09D6J1V15K7S3QFF8QZZ
I use a Renpho scale too
Gets my cunt hair tape measure out.
No, not a risky click and yes a real item. And no, I was not using it in a derogatory way.
Others have given excellent information here. That said, getting something to measure for common body measurements is really critical to selecting properly sized clothes and undergarments.
I ended up using a Renpho Smart Tape Measure and filling in the app. Had to add a custom underbust measurement cell and it was easy.
Get the fastcap tape measure. Has all the fractions on it so you don't have to count. I, too, got used to metric when living overseas and reading Freedom Unit tape measures completely melts my brain. The FastCap makes it trivial.
good job... 2" lost is huge....

I am terrible with measuring correctly, so I thought I get this little gizmo to make my process slightly easier and link to my phone for easier recording
Just do everything in mills instead of fractions: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thousandth_of_an_inch Then get a decimal tape measure: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0859JR8KC/ That way you can keep using inches and feet (like your coworkers), but avoid friggin fractions.
It does seem to work well, although I've only used it once. It connects to Bluetooth to it's app.
I'm a huge fan of the FastCap tapes! They're cheap, accurate and work very well
This one is my general use tape: FastCap PSSR16 16 FastPad Standard Reverse Measuring Tape https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0001GUE3G/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_C48TE02K2X2NBG3W4X6H
This one I keep on my table saw fence: https://www.highlandwoodworking.com/procarpenter-mini-tape.aspx
I use the Renpho ap - works really well with Bluetooth Renpho scale and Renpho measuring tape. Just have to select which spot you're measuring then it updates automatically when you do the measurement 😊
One option if you need to stay in inches… FastCap PSSR16 16 FastPad Standard Reverse Measuring Tape: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0001GUE3G/
Also not a terrible tape, unlike some other crap with those markings. Of course there is the argument if one should use stuff like this vs the learning the usual versions well. IMO depends if it’s a learning curve to travel, or a wall you need to accommodate.

First thing that came up when I searched...I was pretty sure I'd seen one in the past. They do exist and for the low low price of $19.95 plus shipping and handling one can be yours.
I have finally found my favorite tape measure! It also has this feature.
FastCap PSSR16 16 FastPad Standard Reverse Measuring Tape
It is also good for the mathematically impaired.
Stanley's are the standard by which all others are measured. I really love my FastCap Lefty/Righty https://www.amazon.com/FastCap-PSSR25-Lefty-Righty-Measuring/dp/B0001GUE3Q/
>sorry to be annoying
You are not annoying. I am glad I can help.
>What’s the easiest way to measure girth?
The easiest way is with soft measuring tape. That is the one I use. I like it because it clearly displays centimetres which is how I document and chart my statistics. If you do not have a soft measuring tape then the next easiest way is to use a piece of string, a strip of paper, or even some sort of cord like a USB cable. Wrap it around your dick then measure it with a ruler. I hope that makes sense.
>Also would it be smart for me to focus on length before using the bathmate?
I do not see any reason why you should not work on both at the same time.
>I’ve heard the bathmate is mostly for girth.
I believe it is but I gained some length from it too. The first time I used it my dick was larger and certainly thicker than it ever had been before.
get yourself some fabric measuring tape and figure out what your pant, shirt and shoe sizes REALLY are. this will also help if you end up actually paying for a fashion consultant
In the same vain, buy extra wood. Because you will inevitably measure wrong. Also, get a good tape measure that's easy to read. I like this one, with the exception of the belt clip. This will make learning and dealing with fractions so much easier than using your cheap store brand or standby golden oldie Stanley.
that's a function of the measuring device not the unit of measurement. hey look, decimal inches!
fractions are so freaking dumb, i hate them for measurements no doubt. but i can very easily work my mill and lathe in decimal inches without a problem.
I haven't had this problem yet, but I did buy two new tape measures. I swear by them, these guys right here: FastCap PSSR16 16 FastPad Standard Reverse Measuring Tape. Big numbers, fraction inch readable from both sides.
