Here's a pretty big one off the top of my head, and last I checked, the whole series is in there. I think Amazon likely gave some popular books extremely favorable terms in order to use books like these in their KU advertising. Another one I can think of is The Handmaid's Tale.
Oh for sure. The whole business model of books is basically fucked right now. They are way too expensive.
It's so much more cost-effective to make books almost entirely digital but the publishers keep e-books expensive in order to not decimate their physical book sales, which places like libraries support.
https://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Complete-Collection-1-7-ebook/dp/B01B3DIPMW
This is a good example. The digital book is literally more expensive than the physical book. $63 for 7 .mobi files?
E-books/publishing are more or less are where music and movies were in the early 2000s. The old distribution method didn't work very effectively, so there were massive piracy issues. Then Spotify, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and like 80 other services ended up delivering movies and TV shows. People forget DVDs were like $20 back in the day for movies, if not more.
The price of E-books is kept artificially high so that a bunch more players don't end up getting into the market and undercutting Amazon/Barnes and Noble. People still prefer physical books at this point, but only due to the high price point of E-books. I think the physical book market would entirely collapse if they tried to aggressively move people towards E-readers and cheaper technology.
Wow so much love, thank you! And even bigger thank yous to those who went ahead and bought/downloaded it!! I hope you enjoy it as much as i am!
Showed dad and he thinks this is amazing and super grateful for all the kind comments... although he doesnt quite understand what reddit is and how people are commenting haha

His publisher is focused on ebooks so we've a bit more work to do to get it on shelves in bookstores abd chains (if you have an in for somewhere or want to stock please do message me! 😁). Book launch in a couple of weeks at local pub where he will be signed selling paper copies. Happy days!
~~Frequently if you go to an author's page and change the search results from the default of "Featured" to "Price: High to Low" you can see the bundles/box-set (all books in one giant file) and the series page (all the individual books files) since they're usually the most expensive thing.~~
~~As an~~ ~~example~~ ~~for George R. R. Martin the top two most expensive kindle items are both the 5 books of Game of Thrones. In this case the box-set is a better deal, but since individual books typically go on sale more often than box-sets do, sometimes the series page ends up being a better deal.~~
~~Some~~ ~~individual books~~ ~~will also have a "Books in this series" list under the book description with a link to the complete series on the left.~~
~~Although, looking at Spanish page for George R. R. Martin, I don't see an option to narrow down search results to just kindle books on an author's page (although the fact that I don't speak/read Spanish might just be causing me to miss it), so trying to go to "Price: High to Low" didn't narrow down results as I hoped.~~

Okay, I was wondering why I couldn't get the series page to appear on any .es page, so I googled it and according to amazon:
>Series Collection
>
>A Series Collection allows customers to see and buy all eBooks in a series from a single Series detail page. It also provides series visibility from the item detail page. This feature is available on a limited basis on Amazon.com. Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, and Amazon.co.jp. Please note that not all features are available in every marketplace.
So unfortunately this may not be available for you if you only buy of the .es site.
Super Awkward by Beth Garrod - £1.99. UKYA funny contemporary, an absolute favourite of mine which made me laugh on pretty much every page. Don't miss it!
In general, purchasing a "collection" will be one huge file, but will cost less; purchasing a "series" will give you separate files, but will cost more. You can also tell by the formatting of the purchase page: "Collections" pages only have one purchase option, where "series" pages will allow you to purchase either the whole series or any of the individual titles in the series. If you've already purchased a book from the series, it's price will not be included in the series price; but if you instead buy the collection, you're basically paying twice for that title.
For your specific concern about scrolling, check the sample before you buy; a well formatted "collection" should have a clickable table of contents so that you can skip to whichever title you want to read within the collection.
Edit to add an example.
Since you mentioned Harry Potter, I will use that.

The Harry Potter "series": https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BSDR0YG
I went searching for Black Hole and bovine, and got Libba Bray's YA novel Going Bovine. The protagonist is male and has mad cow disease, but is looking for a vanished Dr. X. It sounds bizarre, and just similar enough for me to point you there. The first review by "Teen Reads" is pretty thorough. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002NXOQGQ/
The Phantom Tollbooth - Norton Jester
this book revolutionized my world, learning about how language and syntax can be used was freaking FANTASTIC.
also, try the "His Dark Materials Trilogy" books....really cool magical worlds that I always got lost in.
EDIT: it makes me happy so many people read the dark materials trilogy, those books really opened my mind up to a lot of worldly concepts.
