Hi everyone,
I have started a new series of short stories based on an original character in the young fiction category.
"Alex Chase is an ordinary teenager with an extraordinary gift. Unknowingly, he is thrown into a world of intrigue and espionage. Learning to navigate this underworld while balancing the daily challenges of being a teenager (Exams! Girls! Bullies!), Alex has his work cut out, even for someone like him."
Feel free to check it out! It's $2.99 but also part of Kindle Unlimited
Alright, you gave me permission to shamelessly promote, so here I go! After years of the querying grind, my book is finally going to be published come Monday the 22nd! *cries*
"The Trace" is the first of a YA, light sci-fi trilogy (that means THREE BOOKS ONLY! Unless you readers make me write more...) entitled "Whitewashed" and follows female protag Ella Kepler through the labyrinth of metahuman abilities, covert government operations, and conscienceless creature kept hidden from society. Oh, and there may be a bit of romance for you shippers out there.
Check out Amazon and my site for more info! And be on the lookout for more updates this weekend and potentially some give-aways on my site.

Good luck to all you writers out there. You can do it! I thought I'd be querying forever, but, alas, here we are. Don't give up. :)
It might be Bliss, by Lauren Myracle.
>It’s the summer of 1969, and Bliss has been unceremoniously dumped by her hippie parents into the custody of her grandmother. Soon Bliss finds herself adjusting to life as a freshman at a fancy Atlanta school—and it’s a lot different from life on the commune. Although she quickly finds “normal” friends, she is drawn to Sandy, a gruff and unpopular girl with a long-standing grudge against Sarah Lynn, the icy beauty of the freshman class. The push and pull of the school drama is engaging enough, but there’s another element pressurizing the situation: an unsettling voice calling to Bliss from inside one of the school buildings, a voice somehow related to strange blood rituals and a long-ago suicide. Myracle is running on all cylinders here, exercising an agile teenage drama, a Stephen King–like yarn of high-school horror, a cautionary tale of ’60s race relations, and some affecting social commentary: each chapter begins with a period media quote, and the startling mix of Andy Griffith and Charles Manson perfectly distills the nation’s teetering into terror. The conclusion is a bit awkward, but the lead up is unbearably tense and will have readers buzzing about the audacious plot twist that none of them saw coming.
Adam Undercover, The Consortium Directive
YA boarding school spy adventure, second in the series.
Adam and Emma are used to being the youngest agents in the Arcanum Trivindico. Remarkable gadgets, vehicles, and advanced training continue to hone their abilities as undercover operatives. When the US government pleads for them to engage an unhackable global crime syndicate, the students are forced to abandon their unusual education. A pair of new classmates and a dangerous assignment bring questioned loyalties and sparks of romance. As they battle their way across an unfamiliar continent, each of them will be pushed to the limit to complete their mission.
Available today on Amazon Kindle (3.99) and paperback (14.99). Book 1 on sale for $.99 on Kindle.
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein is excellent. I just finished reading it for the second time today.
I just re-read Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein and cried again even though I already knew what happened.
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
I mean, there's Felix in Waistcoats and Weaponry (smudging and all!), but I'm hard-pressed to think of other examples.
