Just a quick announcement. Sacred Cat Island, narrated by Travis Baldree, won an Independent Audiobook Award on Friday in the LitRPG/GameLit category. This one slipped under the radar a bit, and it’s quite different from the other stories I’ve published, so if you haven’t read it or listened to the audio, here are the links again! And thanks to Travis for nailing it! Think of it as a slowburn progression fantasy LitRPG blended with Animal Crossings.

Sacred Cat Island is a novel about an NPC family that moves to an island of retirees for a summer, where the dad takes over a general store from his recently deceased uncle.
The book works on several levels and is my first that is suitable for all ages. By several levels I mean you could read it slowly for the odd, maybe Pixar-esque take on slow progression, or you may pick up on the parts about growing old, or being stuck in a job that seems mindless, or the whimsical nature of youth and how things that shouldn’t be magical often are.
There’s a lot to unpack here, and I suspect that different scenes will affect different readers in profound ways. While it is slice of life, there is progression fantasy here (albeit subtle), island cultivation, LitRPG, the importance of family and community, action and a serious dose of magical realism that can lean dark a la Neil Gaiman, or light like some of the Studio Ghibli stuff.
I don’t want to ruin the surprises but there are some HUGE surprises, so look for those…

It’s pretty much what you described. Could be a manual to the simulation?
What made you realise it’s not real?
I've heard good things about The Menocht Loop, and there's also The Perfect Run
I enjoyed the Menocht loop. I have only gotten two books but I really liked the first and am waiting for the third to release on Kindle in May.
Have a look at Dungeon Born which has some kind of internal crystalline structure that is required for everything to work and has to be built and updated to progress.

If you want another time loop story, check out The Menocht Loop on Amazon KU (for book 1; books 2-5 are on Royal Road). Disclaimer, I’m the author. But as a person who loves Cradle and MoL I like to think I’ve written a progression fantasy that appeals to the same audience :)
1 sentence blurb: arch death mage Ian Dunai is trapped in the only prison he can’t overpower: a time loop.

My debut novel, The Menocht Loop, released last week on KU. It’s a fantasy novel about an arch-necromancer trapped in the only prison he can’t overpower: a time loop. He finds a new lead and escape is at his fingertips. Little does he know, he’s only been stuck on the first realm.
The book started out on the serial website Royal Road. After getting thousands of followers and millions of views, I was inspired and encouraged by other authors to publish. I’m humbled that the book has become a #1 best-seller.

Hi all, I’m Lorne Ryburn. I’ve been writing as a web serialist since 2017 and I’m excited to finally be publishing my series, The Menocht Loop, on both Amazon KU and Audible (ebook and audiobook are available now!).
Here’s the blurb:
Ian Dunai is trapped in the only maze an arch-decemancer can't escape.
Time.
Only 1% of the population is blessed with magic affinity at birth. Fewer still have high enough affinities to rule. Ian’s decemancy eclipses all, granting him ultimate control over Death. He conquers cities with a thought and turns them into ruins with a gesture. But overwhelming power isn’t enough to escape the time loop or reveal its purpose.
When Ian discovers a critical clue that he missed years ago, escape is finally at his fingertips.
Little does he know, it's only the first layer.

I work in a concert agency (amazingly still have a job despite all the concert halls closing last year!), and i just published my debut, The Ingenious, in December. It’s hard, being unknown, but a great feeling when you get good feedback once in a while. KENP has slumped this week though, so i might soon be falling off the three-month kdp cliff i keep hearing about... Here’s a link if you’re interested - ebook’s been reduced.

I have to say that both this sub has been invaluable on the steep learning curve to the publishing world, as well as Reedsy (no I’m not connected in any way in case you’re wondering).

Emerelia has 11 books. Here's the link to the first on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Trapped-Mind-Project-Emerilia-Book-ebook/dp/B01MZD5RQX If you scroll down to the "Books In This Series," you'll see all the way to the eleventh. All this being said, I burnt out around the sixth book.
While Ten Realms would be on your list to not post, the author Michael Chatfield's other 2 LitRPG series would be ok I guess. Emerilia and Death Knight. Emerilia actually has been editted too!
My debut novel 2HVØRHVNØT: To Have or Have Not is an action-packed genre-bending murder mystery set in a dystopian future where the superpowered Mighty oppress the powerless Citizens.
The Mighty think Mario killed one of their own. Now, he must race against time to prove his innocence and survive the onslaught of the Mighty killer.
On Kindle for only 99c until Friday night, so get it now!
Thank you all for your feedback. There are some great story suggestions here to get started. Now my question is about the genre superhero fantasy--Does it always have to be superheroes and supervillains? What if the world has people with powers like superheroes and villains do, but they aren't used for good... or evil for that matter. Superhero doesn't feel like it makes sense, but I think that's the closest it fits. This book doesn't have superheroes per se, but the world is full of people that feel like superheroes called the Mighty, but there's so many of them that their powers don't mean anything, except they oppress people who don't have powers. The story takes place from the perspective of someone without powers. What genre would you call that? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HDKV3RG

10 Realms Book 3 The Third Realm just got released
Read the Book: The Game is life
They explain it relatively well. It is quite interesting, especially how the main character wrote in his last playthrough a book about them living only in a simulation but only made a few copies. And in his next playthrough he finds that book and found upon it a religion that believes they are living inside of a game.
