Find a copy of Oh Crap! Potty Training by Jamie Glowacki read it and implement it with your kid and be chill when it is frustrating as fuck. Since you are in a time crunch I wouldn't wait two weeks between finishing the book and starting training, I might hide the small floor potty while you read and I might get rid of the other seat completely and get something like this https://www.amazon.com/Mayfair-Removable-83SLOWA-000-883SLOWA/dp/B00EPET9RC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1532635443&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=mayfair+next+step+toilet+seat&psc=1 (whether he truly means it or not those plastic seat ones can be scarý!)
One of the biggest rules with potty training is never ask if they need or want to go. They either have no idea they have to go or they do not want to.
You have to activity do the work to help him learn. He's not going to do it on his own.
I don't normally recommend Oh Crap Potty Training, not because I don't agree with it but because the whole method is just too fast for my liking but you pretty much need as quick as possible at this point.
Just remember to be chill no matter what happens at this point your attitude is vital. If you get upset you might be screwed.
Not even a full weekend, but definitely worthwhile: swap out your toilet seats for the soft-close variety.. Toilet seats get gross and worn over time, and I can't explain how "luxurious" soft-close seats feel.. Not to mention it'll completely save your sanity if you have kids in the house.
I used these, but you don't have to get them from amazon - Lowe's and Home Depot sell them too. Expect to spend about $40 each.. They come in the standard (circular) and elongated varieties - make sure to grab the one that matches your toilet (if unsure take measurements of the bowl before you go shopping - the box has the measurements right on it). They take about 5 minutes each to install assuming your existing bolts aren't rusted. And as an added bonus they detach without having to remove the bolts for easy cleaning.
I just float brown trout. Easy peasy and no TP required. The fish love it too. When I'm going to have my little girl or my wife on the island with me, I bring this. , and mount to a 5 gallon bucket.
Honey, so sorry for the pain - get a plastic sitz bath insert for the toilet, and after pooping, warm water with baking soda to denature the digestive acids and sooth the area. I also use phytoplex goop, it coats the skin and makes a barrier that helps. Even though I don't have an asshole any longer, I will do a sitz bath because they feel so damned good - I have a theory it is because the vagus nerve is being soothed, so it relaxes me =)
As others have said, yeast can last for a long time and it is unlikely to resolve without intervention. You need to get to a doctor.
You can easily buy yeast infection creams at any pharmacy. They make one-dose versions, but since you've been suffering for an extended period of time, you probably want one that is a full seven days. One thing you can do to be more comfortable is to take a cool bath/sit in the tub with baking soda in the water. I own a "sitz" bath which basically just a low bowl that fits on the toilet. (https://www.amazon.com/Elongated-Perineal-Hemorrhoidal-Episiotomy-Relief/dp/B00VS1HD0U/ref=sr_1_13?crid=1IHSJQ45BKJTT&keywords=sitz+bath&qid=1649793740&sprefix=si%2Caps%2C1752&sr=8-13) You can buy one at any pharmacy and/or walmart. I fill it with cool water, 1/4 c of baking soda and just sit in it for 20 minutes. You can also just do it in the big tub with just enough water to sit in but you may need to add more baking soda for it to be effective.
This will NOT just cure the yeast infection but it is tremendously helpful in reducing the inflammation.
General Advice:
Good luck!
We’ve always had this on our toilet because my girl didn’t want to go in a “baby potty” she wanted to use the big girl potty. We put a step stool in the bathroom and now she can go take care of all her business by herself :)
I was in the same boat as you. We got a Saniflo macerator toilet in the basement due the fact that the sewage pipes are too high for anything gravity feed, after installing it I sat on the cover and broke the seat. Turns out that toilet does not have a standard bolt pattern too. Calling the manufacturer did nothing, they did not want to cover it with warranty. Anyways, long story sort, after hours of research, we found the best candidate was this: Bath Royale BR620-00. It's got the round adjustments bolt, fits pretty flush to the rear lip of the toilet and its not ridiculously expensive as some other models of non-standard seats. Good luck with your findings.
I was lucky enough to pick up a Toshiba SCS-T160. (it was much cheaper in Japan). It's incredible, you van change the water pressure, angle, temperature (oh yeah it's got a built-in water heater), as well as an automated motion, it can also do up front (for the ladies), and has a self-cleaning, retracting nozzle with a cover for when not in use (still, clean it when you clean your toilet).
I've had mine for years and it still works perfectly.
Mine has the same issue, but I didn't know it until the third toilet seat in.
I bought this seat that is adjustable. It's pretty decent.

Edit: curious...is it a Kohler?
Amazon that shyt, the delivery person likely won’t want anything to do with you anyways, https://www.amazon.com/Mayfair-featuring-Slow-Close-43SLOW-000/dp/B076KW4YSM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=toilet+seat&qid=1609121963&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sprefix=toilet+seat&sr=8-3
Oh yeah! Something that really helped me was taking sitz baths (basically just a warm water soak for your perineum.) You can do it in the bathtub , but you can get plastic sitz baths that fit over your toilet so you don't have to deal with getting in and out of the tub. My surgeon sent me home with one, but you can get them at places like Walgreens, CBS, etc, or online (this one on Amazon is identical to the one they sent me home with.)
I started making a habit of doing a sitz bath after my nightly dilation, and it seemed to help quite a bit. It was really soothing too.
Here you go. I picked it as an example because it was a best seller and looked fairly cheap, but maybe there are cheaper ones too.
Not sure about Amazon shipping prices though. I have a friend in Japan who forwards me stuff, so I just looked up Japan Post prices.
Just leave one of these outside their door :)
I saw a slow-close or quiet-close toilet seat and now my whole house has them. Game changer.
It’s called a quick release system.

On a Rialto you have to take off the tank lid and reach inside to get to the nuts. If they're brass and been there a while, they might be married and have to be cut or drilled.
I just put this seat on a Rialto and it seems OK. It comes with everything you'll need.

Kohler has what you want
https://www.amazon.com/K-4636-0-Quiet-Close-Grip-Tight-Bumpers-Elongated/dp/B000TFHN56
Grip tight means you pull the seat off and can chuck it in the tub and bleach it and reattach it without any tools
Late to the party but we like this seat. It is an adult seat with a kids seat built in.

Working at a daycare I have helped potty train about 20 children in the last 4 years. Things will vary from child to child, but In hope I can help with the suggestions we give most parents.
Firstly, potty training can be super frustrating one of the things that can contribute to this is that many kids can't fully control when they go potty until they are about 2 1/2.
First they'll start noticing that they are wet, then they will begin to notice that they will pee, then they will finally have enough muscle control to know when they will pee and to control whether or not they do so.
Now, that doesn't mean you can't start early if you think they are ready, but it will require extra patience!
Secondly, I know this is weird but it is ideal for them see that their parents use the potty. If possible the same sexed parent since they have the same equipment. Talk them through the process as you go.
"I am going to use the potty because I need to go pee. I am going to pull down my pants and sit on the potty (or stand talk about whichever you're doing). I'm finished and now I'm going to flush the pee away. Look! I went pee and my pants are still dry and clean! It is so much nicer than having a wet diaper!"
Let him observe a few times, he may volunteere to sit on the potty to be like Mommy or Daddy or he may not, but now you've opened a dialogue and can have a conversation about it.
"I think it is time for you to sit on the potty just like I do! I know you don't like it when your diaper is wet and this way you can stay dry! Let's try to go pee in the potty!"
Also, instead of Mini potties I highly recommend these: Topseat 6TSTE9999CP 000 Tiny Haney Potty Toilet Seat, Adult/Child with Chromed Metal Hinges, Wood, Elongated, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EAR80ME/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4zXnzbQASA39M
Good Luck! You guys can do this!
I recommend one of these. It also helps prevent pee messes as it helps the child sit correctly. And no potty seat removal when parents need to go. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EPET9RC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5kRezbECWAE2G
This is the toilet seat that we bought. We got the first one at Home Depot, but one of our toilets is off white instead of white, so we had to order the second one from Amazon because no one seems to carry the off white colors in store.
I know some kids don't like the potty seats because they wiggle a little bit. You might try something like this Mayfair Potty Training Seat.
It's basically a regular toilet seat that has another part that comes down to turn it into a toddler seat. Makes it seem like a more adult seat, and is a lot more secure.
I just got these OP. They're a goddamned lifesaver.
Can be operated without looking, since everything just falls into place nicely. Hell, I got it 3 days ago, and my daughter has now started to climb onto it herself to do her business.
Just a little update for you.
I switched over from my outdoor toilet to a portable bucket design with a specialized toilet seat lid. Much, much more convenient.
Otherwise, everything has been working great.
Little update for you. I switched over to using 5 gallon buckets with specialized toilet lids that snap on. Way more convenient and cheap too.
I'd just get one for each family member and 2x the # of buckets so you can rotate them.
Fresh sawdust or pine shavings works the best in terms of coverage and smell.
