I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NBU7XLH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I actually have both the large and the medium, the large is good for big 4-5 log bonfires, and the medium is good for casual one log at a time fires. We mostly use the medium, and it folds up small enough to just live under the seat in my truck full time. I thought the mesh would be a problem but once the fire's going I think it actually helps, because it can draw air up from below. Amazon says I bought it in 2018 and I estimate we've used them 20 or so times since then and it's showing no signs of critical failures.
Here's a sense of the amount of wood we put through it on a typical trip too.
Get one of these! They’re permitted and while you won’t get the smell, crackling, or the smoke in your face and clothes, they are great little fire pits.

I love it! Works great - https://www.amazon.com/SUCHDECO-Portable-Fire-Pit-Outdoor/dp/B07WG73GGY/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=portable+fire+pit&qid=1596151730&s=lawn-garden&sr=1-6
Just the wire mesh don't fold up again, keep it flat, it will tear if you keep folding it up after many uses.
>None of the propane campfires have CSA rating apparently.
Approved fire bowls are out there - I have one of these. The generic high margin junk Canadian Tire carries don't seem to have any certs.
found it (or something similar) https://www.amazon.com/KingCamp-Stainless-Collapsible-Accessories-Backyards/dp/B08B3M6KJW kinda cool, never heard of a portable fire pit
I have this one and love it.
FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Pop-Up Fire Pit | Portable and Lightweight | Fullsize 24 Inch | Weighs 7 lbs. | Never Rust Fire Pit | Heat Shield NOT Included https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G9NY6G8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_CV058057BKK9F889P8W3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Buy a portable propane fire pit, I have this one and it works great, I have an adapter to run it on 1# camping canisters and also have some small 5# canisters to fuel it.
The FIRESIDE OUTDOOR Pop-Up Fire Pit is by far the best one I have ever used. It is solid when assembled, easy to clean and store in its bag, surprising the metal does not break down easily. We use ours on grass with the optional heat shield and never burnt the grass.
i'd recommend just getting something like this:
https://smile.amazon.com/Outland-Firebowl-863-Portable-Diameter/dp/B073SMX1TC/
open fire doesn't mean covered or uncovered. it describes any combustible fueled fire pit.
I got an Outland brand. Could not be happier! I use it to tailgate sometimes at festivals! They come in different sizes also... Outland Living Model 823 Portable Propane Fire Pit, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007UMD2L0/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_DBDT9CVW7Y0SH2HQPYCS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This has been the law for a long time and I am happy they are fining people (no offense)
Bro just buy from Union CoOp, its 99 AED. I used it last night for the first time and it is great heat and easily put the ash in a black bin bag when you leave (good for family of 5-6)

Thank you. I have Adirondack chairs so I'm thinking this 23" height might be a smidge too much. I'm thinking more like 16" tops.
We’re loving this one; it’s coffee table height: Outland Living Series 403-Espresso Brown Fire Table, Espresso Brown/50,000 BTU https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07SR7MMF9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_C2ZWTV1BFWA2FBWBQTV9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Is that still too high?
