every time you click the button, the number goes up by one. usually used at carnivals and things to count large numbers of people
Same. I got one of these from Amazon. $30 and worth every penny. I'd rather have a decent watch, but those are considerably more than $30.
I also tend to go into death anxiety phases, last one was months of obsessing and being afraid to sleep... it sucked.
It sounds crazy, but this is how I got out of it:
After about three weeks, I went from 30-40 times a day to pretty much nothing, and I stop doing it because I didn't need it anymore. What surprised me is that originally, everything was making me think about death, I couldn't watch TV shows or read or do anything interesting because it would make me spiral. But after I was able to "break the loop" that stuff didn't trigger it anymore.
Good luck! If you try it, I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. :)
It's a piece of paracord with beads on it. As you go you slide a bead down (for each piece of trash) there are different sections to mean different amounts.
Skip to 1:39 and don't worry about the pace/kilometer part. I'd probably make my own, one section to mean 1-10, and a second section that means every 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. It's hard to explain. You could also use one of those cheap people counting tickers from Amazon if you're not a diy-er
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075QFK6DG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_4ZRC96QF3FM2YQE0PZ8W
I have one of these or I use a note pad or one of the crochet apps to keep count
I have the Garmin Forerunner 310XT which is hella cheap for a tri watch (like $100-ish now, since it is obsolete, haha) but does not track laps. Even the 910XT is pretty cheap these days since it was replaced by the 920, but there are so many features on these darn things that I am struggling to figure out if it tracks simple laps in a pool (Amazon says it tracks distance and shit like stroke count, but I'm not sure if that's only for open water...? I would assume it does count laps but definitely confirm for yourself!).
If I were you, I would crosspost to /r/triathlon. You're bound to get a better response from someone who is familiar with what their specific watch is capable of.
I will note that, unless you are doing a ton of brick swim-to-bike workouts from the pool (as opposed to from an open water swim), it may simply be easier to buy a cheaper Garmin triathlon watch that doesn't track laps in a pool and then just a cheapo lap counter, which you can get for like $30 - https://www.amazon.com/SportCount-LapCounter-90040-Silver/dp/B0016J9NE8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1495339883&sr=8-1&keywords=lap+counter+swim
Have you ever considered trying a tally counter? It takes the ‘keeping track’ duty out of your mind and onto something physical, and that’s something that helps me a lot with my ADHD
Get twosports clickers!
One is your overall number of laps (it'll stay at one end)
The other is to help you not lose track with any length over 6. Once you're done with that set, add it to the overall number of laps clicker.
Best $4 I spent last month. Counted 106 trick or treaters in QV last night, wondering what other nonsense I can use it for throughout the year. I love sitting outside every year, excited that next year we'll have a 9 month old joining us! Everyone seemed to have a good time last night, even this one deadpan uncostumed teenager who was muttering about how tired he was and that he hoped the skittles gave him a sugar rush. It gets better dude! But also worse too
I guess the brand is sportcount, it's the only name I see on here. but it's this exact one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016J9NE8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I use one of those hand counters digital tally counter
These. They last forever and you can clip them to your work so you don't lose them or mix them up.
>Having a leveling system in a PvP game is such a basic feature
>
>Its such a simple system
Yes. So what does it add?
Is it nothing? Pretty sure it's nothing.

> yet so effective at making me feel progression as I sink hours into the game.
You made a number with even less meaning than usual for a video game one bigger. It's not progression.
Get one of these. Click it every time your scratch your ass. It added just as much as the Overwatch leveling system.
So, a digital version of this $3.98 Hand Tally Counter?
https://www.amazon.com/White-Deer-Counter-Clicker-Convenient/dp/B08HR46VWD?th=1
Never needs recharging - Powered by human operator... :)
like i said they ordered a clicker (learned these are called tally counters) from amazon and it arrived as we were setting up for the 1st game after session 0 so the book keeping of it is dead simple that way. I will warn this creates a lot of chaos surges in practice(Our Sorcerer loves to use tides of Chaos) so we often have multiple rolls at once
It's getting tough. I just bought one of these.
They have tiny digital hand-held counters that fit around a finger. You could use two if you have to count more than one thing. Here’s an example: Electronic Finger Counter, 7-Pack Resettable 5 Digit LCD Electronic Digital Display Finger Hand Tally Counter Counting https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M8IRK6F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_X6D0D6EWKVM1FKPD40VT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I wonder! Imagine two player Pong. The only logic that exists bounces the ball and does score keeping. The basic feedback physics sim must be acceptable, given the ornithopters, and I'd shudder to think that something like a tally counter would be against the rules.
i place a stitch marker every 10 stitches but also i use a tally counter to double check myself
They're just called tally counter. You can find dozens of them on amazon. I don't think anyone swears by any brands, they all do the same thing!
keep track of your sales as you sell?

14$ for SIX, lay once next to your soda fridge and fountain for each pricepoint?
)these are pretty good, I've purchased them(
I just use one of those hand counters/clickers. It cost me $3.50 - works great - if it eventually breaks it is easy to replace.
I wouldn’t call myself an athlete, but I use one of these electronic counters. It works great. I’m on my second one, the first one sprung a leak after 9 months or so, but if I recall correctly (it’s been years) they did a warranty replacement after I shipped the broken one back.
When my place got really bad, I felt like no matter how much I worked on it I never made progress. It was depressing and it made me feel like doing nothing since nothing I did mattered.
Here was the solution that worked for me: I got a Tally Counter. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/KTRIO-Counter-Handheld-Clicker-Mechanical/dp/B075QFK6DG
If you haven't seen them before, it's a simple device, you click the button and the number goes up. They are cheap.
I would clip it to a belt loop and deal with 100 things every day. They don't have to be big things. Put a piece of paper in the trash? Click the counter. Put a pen back in a pen holder? Click the tally counter. Throw a sock in the laundry pile? Click the tally counter. Do one dish? Click the tally counter.
My depression would tell me I hadn't made any real progress, but the tally counter told me I had done 100 things, and the tally counter doesn't lie. No matter how bad the house still looked, I had dealt with 100 things that day, and 100 things is significant measurable progress. Usually 100 things took me an hour or less each day.
In 60 days I had dealt with 6000 things. 6000 things was a massive improvement. I could find things when I needed them. I could walk around without stepping on things. I could put things down without having to clear a pile.
The system won't work forever - once you clear thousands of little things and only the bigger projects are left, you can't do 100 a day - but I wasn't living in squalor anymore thanks to that cheap tally counter.
Totally late but I order them online for my asthmatic cat.
Warning: I cannot guarantee the legality of this practice.
Basically, Canada has online pharmacies and drugs are more affordable in Canada. You submit a picture of the Rx and they fill it, shipping either a Canadian generic (more expensive) or a generic from Turkey (cheapest). The Turkish inhalers are branded as Flixotide and they are the exact same medication even manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline, but just a different brand name.
It is possible to send the prescription to multiple pharmacies and build a stockpile of 4-5 inhalers twice a year since shipping can be slow.
The only mild annoyance with the Flixotide inhalers is that they are not metered. I order a counter from Amazon (like this) and click it myself each time we use it. Even though the inhaler is supposes to have 120 doses, I toss it after 100 just to be safe.
The pharmacies I’ve used without issues are: NorthWest Pharmacy Canada Drugs Online ABC Pet Meds (cheapest)
The inhalers run anywhere from $25-75 at these pharmacies. Much better than $300 at CVS.
And although pet insurance won’t cover the asthma now, I would recommend still getting it for any future disease that might occur.
Feel free to PM me or post here if you have any questions.

The mind is malleable and can be changed. Scientists have shown the brain has neuroplasticity.
If you practice wholesome behavior your mind will change to be more uplifted. The basics are keeping the five precepts and practicing generosity. Loving-kindness meditation is great too. When you start, you may only feel relief for a few minutes or hours and then the depression comes back. But if you keep at it, the relief might last a few days before it comes back. And eventually it can go away entirely.
Look for any joy or happiness you can find. Even in depression there can be moments of uplift. You could try getting a counter, and keep track of every time your mood lifts. By doing this, you're training your mind to pay attention to good things.
I find that helping others makes me feel nice. If you've done good deeds, you can reflect on those. You don't have to give money to help others. Just smiling or making someone laugh is an act of kindness.
I was depressed for 12 years and I'm not anymore. I did got rid of depression through cognitive behavioral therapy, but Buddhism would probably have been more helpful. But there's no reason you can't do both.
If you wanted to try loving-kindness meditation, this is what I recommend.
I knew they were counting because my whole routine would be
Fish out card from the wallet, holding it up as I walked by
Get The Nod from the door person, and hear a little click as they trigger the little counter.
Didn't know they were using it to adjust the registers though, that's smart.
Do they keep track of people leaving too?
