Nope, we just both pulled from the same sources.
Namely:

And
(Which is also based on Star Charts)
Says a lot that you're just dismissing anyone defending something you don't like by calling them fanboys. You're free to dislike a thing if that's how you feel, you don't have to qualify it by proving you're an asshole towards people who like the thing.
And I don't see how it makes me a fanboy to point out the flaws in your arguments? What happened with LOST is not only well-documented (like, literally documented in a book that you can read, but one of the guys who made it went on to produce two television masterpieces, so maybe I give him the benefit of the doubt? Especially when the other player in the game is a goddamn broadcast television network. It's common knowledge that networks interfere in shows and LOST was one of the first major serialized broadcast dramas. ABC wanted more because it was popular, they didn't care if that interfered with the vision the writers had. And I didn't even say anything about the writer's strike. That happened, what, around season 4 of the show? I think the damage had long been done by then.
And again, I don't even see the comparison here. They had a plan and they executed on it. The entire show has been produced. It's a miniseries and its events directly affect the upcoming movies. Wanda's going to be in the next Doctor Strange, which is already in production. It would be pretty weird if they didn't have the plot figured out for this show and they were already filming a movie affected by it.
And by the way, the finale of LOST is actually good. Fight me.
Read The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s: An Oral History. It was fun to read all the behind the scenes and thought processes into the show. So worth it
If you really want to know the answer to this, you should read the "Deep Space Nine Technical Manual", written by Herman Zimmerman and Rick Sternbach. It completely lays out the work Starfleet did to upgrade DS9.
There are lots of official maps. This one is from This book from 2002. They've also released a high quality stellar cartography book as recently as 2018.
I tried tracking down this theory that she was on the Enterprise, and I think it came from Mike McMahon's original TNG Season 8 tweets. He expands on them in a book and creates a new lower-deck character named Beckett Mariner.
He also says in the book, "There's no chance I'll ever get to write for a Star Trek show (which is probably for the best)." (page 270) He was wrong about this.
Beckett Mariner would clearly be lifted from that book as inspiration for the actual, canonical Lower Decks show, but any there's no guarantee that the show Mariner IS the same as the Mariner in McMahan's original fan content.
That being said, associating Mariner with a previously-seen but never-explained TNG character is super cool headcanon!
Do they say if this podcast is similar to/pulling from the recent Andy Greene book about the office? Just wondering since they both have ‘Oral History’ in their names.

There is the book Star Trek Star Charts which I recall having the Gamma and Delta quadrant maps too. I loved that book. Should still have it somewhere :)
From the size of the Federation presented in Star Charts, (portions of which have been canonized by forming the basis of on-screen maps), very likely. That source presents known space as 1,500 light years in diameter (vs. the galaxy's diameter of over 100,000 light years, making it only a tiny portion of either quadrant.
You’ll want to get your hands on this book:

Beyond that, the Survivor Historians’ four episodes of coverage of the original season (after having earlier done a much shorter recap) is a terrific listen. All four episodes may be found on their website, episodes 60-63:
>Every Story is written around the 3 act structure
Negative! You should read this book, it's a fantastic exploration of what narrative structure is and is not
They're not Modiphius books, but rather just general Star Trek reference books. I have both and they're excellent. Starcharts is out of print though (I think), so might be pretty expensive.

Starcharts
Burnett wrote this book about the first season, including a lot of BTS and casting information:
https://www.amazon.com/Survivor-Ultimate-Game-Mark-Burnett/dp/1575001438/ref=sr_1_1
He included the "Pagong votes for Jeff" story in the chapter about Days 4-6.
Thanks everyone for all the upvotes and great comments. I couldn’t put the book down yesterday evening and can 100% recommend it. This was only the 9th page, it only gets better later on. Here’s the link to Amazon if anyone is interested.
There is also a comedic 'TNG Season 8' book: Warped. I actually have this one, but haven't read it yet.
I'm not saying nobody can like indie and pop. I am saying that different genres and styles of music appeal to different sorts of people. This is true with all art; the qualities that make one work or piece interesting to some people will make it unappealing to others.
>People that are so hardline about not listening to music outside their curated aesthetic are fucking losers and I thought we were done with that after high school. Lol.
Yeah, I keep hearing about these people but I don't know anybody who does this. I think different people like different music, IDK.
>I'm talking about how leftists enjoy tearing down mainstream things to virtue signal about how good of a leftie they are.
Who does that? The only example I can think of are when Brihana Joy Gray and Jamie Peck both shit on Ro Khanna for liking Hamilton. I thought it was bizarre, but I don't perceive it's reflective of the left.
What I have noticed are rightists who shit on people for being cultured or educated, even if they may have had elite educations themselves. For instance, Sean Hannity ranted on how Obama was an elitist because he ordered mustard. A common talking point on the right is how pop culture promotes liberal ideals. Shapiro even wrote a book about it.
The office: the untold story...
Lots of interviews from actors, directors, staff, etc.
Well, you can get them from the source itself. But there are lots of copies online of varying resolution, like this.
Oh my, I looked it up and he did write that too.
And even funnier: in the Customers Also Bought section, I see he just released an "updated for 2020" book called "Facts STILL Don't Care About Your Feelings", which is sure to sell like Dennis Prager-manhandled hotcakes.

Been really enjoying Into the Woods by John Yorke. Lots of refutation of three-act structure (I'll spare you a rant and just say three acts alone tend to make limp stories IMO) and a nice deep dive into five-act structure instead (plus a discussion of what an act even is, which you tend not to get with writing classes.)
Also been enjoying Consider This by Chuck Palahniuk. Dude has a lot of good ideas about nitty-gritty writing details.
> the "how old is Mariner??" question
recently I've learned that Mariner was a Cadet aboard the 1701-D during the "never-aired Season 8 of TNG"
you'll note the book's author is Mike McMahan, the same guy who created and serves as show-runner for LDS. So that material is at least "beta" canon, and I have a hunch at some point on the show, they will finally spell out that yes, she's been in Fleet much longer than the other Cerritos ensigns
I read this a couple of months ago. You might enjoy it after you finish. I was surprised to see how your opinions diverged from those of the people who made the show. They hated the James Spader episodes, and thought that Andy was never written properly. My own opinion--I loved Kevin and Creed, and thought the writers did a great job of not over-using them. My favorite episode was the one where Jim tricked Dwight into giving Mussolini's speech. I literally had trouble catching my breath I was laughing so hard.
We're watching Justified, based on some friends' recommendations. We're just finishing season one, but so far, it's good but nothing amazing. Better than most network television, but not anywhere near the same level as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Wire, The Sopranos, etc. More on the level of The Closer or Burn Notice.
This is a beloved part of my personal library. It has maps of the NX-01's travels and areas of significance during that time period. I highly recommend that you purchase a copy:
Please define conservatism...
Please look at the viewership growth of Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro and Milo.
> I'm not sure you can quantify counter culture, so... I'd love to see the studies you're referring to, I suppose?
I literally just linked you to a source all about this: https://www.amazon.com/Primetime-Propaganda-True-Hollywood-Story/dp/006193478X
That book answers all of your questions, if you are curious about how conservatives are treated in hollywood. Again, Caitlyn Jenner said it was harder to come out as Republican than transexual. Let that sink in.
> Counter-cultures usually don't get dominant political representation.
Conservatism is NOT dominate in our politics. That's why we have huge spending, high taxation, huge gov't. Conservative (small) gov't wouldn't have 1/10th of the functions gov't has today. If you think it's conservative to have the Federal gov't spend trillions on infrastructure and walls...
Politicians barely represent either side, they mostly represent corporations! We have a corporatist system, really. Big powerful gov't can be bought by big powerful companies.
>Please look at the viewership growth of Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro and Milo.
What figures should I look at. What conclusions should I draw. Why aren't you being more explicit?
>I literally just linked you to a source all about this: https://www.amazon.com/Primetime-Propaganda-True-Hollywood-Story/dp/006193478X
Lol... talk about paywalls.
I've listened to Shapiro talk, before. He's not stupid, that much is for sure. I also think he's an expert at avoiding topics he doesn't want to discuss. If the best you can do is link a book on Amazon... sheesh, mang.
I mean besides all this, I have no fucking clue what "how conservatives are treated in hollywood" has to do with anything. Hollywood doesn't represent mainstream liberal culture by a long shot.... so what point are you trying to make?
>Conservatism is NOT dominate in our politics.
Well neither is progressivism, in that case. What reason do I have to believe that some sort of "progressivism" isn't just as much counter culture as conservatism? And if it is, why call either one counterculture at all? Do you have any grasp of what this term means?
It has all the scripts. Character write ups. Prop stuff. Lots of pictures. Shit it even has some of the money
You can find the book on Amazon for about $30. Well worth the price if you're a fan of the show. Sadly no new extras on the 15th anniversary edition other then packaging and whatnot.
