I'm sure the beastmakers are nice.
I am using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ANZKA-Unfinished-Diameters-Hemisphere-Natural/dp/B08V159M7R
Smaller and Cheaper. And on vert terrain, you don't need 50mm diameter and certaily not the edge.
I used these for my warbuggies. I think they are 152mm long. They also sell bags of these at Hobby Lobby.
Just spray painted them black.
Various, from my favorite paddle to a chain of large carabiners linked together... Not sure where those were from but we've gotten similar results from a chain he made...all skillfully applied, of course!
Uhmmm various, from my favorite paddle to a chain of large carabiners linked together... Not sure where those were from but we've gotten similar results from a chain he made
...or at least that wass my favorite until a new one he made from scratch that I don't have a pic of!
Thanks! Wooden cubes from hobby lobby, wrap it in some cloth so it sticks up a little higher than the top of the cube, wrap drywall mesh around that, paint primary color, sort of dry brush the mesh a different color, mix some elmers glue and dirt and dump it on top.

Sometimes I find wooden little things from someone’s old crafts, small baskets, or little nicknacks at the thrift store and my kids have loved some of what I’ve brought back. If something doesn’t get used, I just send it back to the thrift store and it’s not a huge financial hit.
Edit: I also just thought about something they’ve liked to play with are these macrame rings I’ve used to make keychains that are cheap-https://www.amazon.com/Macrame-2-4inch-Natural-Unfinished-Connectors/dp/B08M35R4S7/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=macrame+rings+wooden&qid=1621992090&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExQkM2T0g3UVhTWFE2Jm...
