You need one of these:
Or a dock:
If just a single external display, the ideal by a narrow margin is to find a usb-c to displayport adapter and plug it into the USB-C port *specifically on the left side* of the laptop. That one has Displayport alt mode, and will be a direct connection to the GPU.
I have found in my own tests that hooking up to the HDMI port has about a 2% performance drop in comparison with 3dmark Time Spy. Not a huge deal, but it is a slight drop.
You can also connect to multiple monitors if you want and in my tests it seemed to work well, but only if you get a usb-c adapter that supports displayport alt mode and again plug it into the left side usb port. You may also want to make sure it does *not* do power delivery. The jury's apparently still out as to whether USB-C power delivery + AC adapter plugged in = fried laptop in the 2021 model (it had the potential to do so in 2020 at least).
I'm personally using this so I have a total of three monitors, and it works well with the caveat that it seems to downsample to 1080p if the monitors you plug in are larger than that, despite what it says in the description: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QKVY23Q/
Everyone has their favorite seller for risers. I used many different ones and risers are inherently crappy so I always had dead one or flaky issues. I switched over to the below risers once I saw them on Amazon. I started buying them back when they had zero feedback, I was just willing to try them. I now have 36 of these specific risers on my rigs and haven't received a bad one yet nor have any of them died.

Use Amazon Prime just in case you have to return it. The model I have I don't see anymore but this is exactly like it.
I got several sets of these off Amazon. Came from Texas, got to NY in like 3 days including a weekend. A little higher price per, but USA and they're the 007 with 4 capacitors and a choke.

Will something like this suffice?

Thanks for your help
You need to specifically look for DisplayLink. Its a GPU built into a USB dongle essentially.
StarTech.com USB 3.0 to HDMI Display Adapter Converter 1080p (1900x1200) Dual / Multi-Monitor Video Cable with External Graphics Card - Supports Windows (USB32HDES), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H91BQ7Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_QWS1WX8JABMZKKDBX7Q9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Absolutely. That’s what these adapters are great for. Having a monitor with chat or social media or something. An example of one I used before is below.
USB to HDMI Adapter, USB 3.0/2.0 to HDMI Cable Multi-Display Video Converter- PC Laptop Windows 7 8 10,Desktop, Laptop, PC, Monitor, Projector, HDTV.[Not Support Chromebook] https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B087PD9KSZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9E5ZND9F5T118S089010
Okay that is a great start and very helpful! So if I purchase this...
StarTech.com USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter - 4K 30Hz - External Video & Graphics Card - Dual Monitor Display Adapter - Supports Windows (USB32HD2), Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0725K1MHH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_DSP82RA0NAK57YPNATBM?psc=1
...and connect it to a USB-C to USB-A hub, that should do the trick?
I think this one or one like it because you have to power the chromecast right? A splitter without power won’t work.
Edit. I didn’t realize that one came with power too.
So just as I thought; should have remembered it when I first typed my msg. Splitters only duplicate the image. In order to physically get two signals, the device needs a processing unit to actually split the signal; which makes the devices more expensive.
This device is what you want (or something similar if you can find cheaper).
right makes sense. i did find this adaptor. would this work? https://www.amazon.com/USB-Dual-HDMI-Adapter-External/dp/B0725K1MHH/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=usb%2Bto%2B2%2Bhdmi%2Badapter&sr=8-3&th=1
amazon, if you want them fast: https://www.amazon.com/EXPLOMOS-Graphics-Extension-Ethereum-Capacitors/dp/B074Z754LT
from china, if you don't mind waiting a month:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/NOTAYO-5pcs-3-in-1-4pin-pci-e-riser-card-6pin-riser-sata-60cm-pcie-1x/32825421287.html
I recently updated to one of these. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XJITK7E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00 As I too use a vintage yamaha amp for the bedroom. I have my xbox one plugged into it and the audio goes right to the amp and then I have a 30ft HDMI wire going to the PJ.
They are not 4k monitors, 1080p. The two side monitors are running off the surface dock and the top one is running off this handy little guy I got today..
Plugable USB 3.0 to VGA/DVI/HDMI Video Graphics Adapter for Multiple Monitors up to 2048x1152 / 1920x1080 (Supports Windows 10, 8.1, 7, XP) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A2E1MQA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_M1ZECb31N4R2J
I do believe that pluggable does make a 4k version of this though, may be wrong.
Although, as I was talking about, the fact that the PCI-E slot is on the board itself may be an issue with a Mini-ITX board since it's quite common to put the M.2 slot on the back of the board.
>How would i split my laptops only hdmi port for one hdmi screen and one vga only port screen into a extended screen ???
You won't. HDMI is only capable of running one screen at a time.
Your USB-C ports do not support native video out. For the most part, you will only find that on models supporting Thunderbolt, as video out is part of the Thunderbolt specifications; though some non-Thunderbolt USB C ports may support "Displayport alt mode" for video out.
You can get around this by getting a USB HDMI adapter. Most of them come with USB A connectors, such as https://smile.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB-HDMI-Adapter-External/dp/B00H91BQ7Y
Whatever you buy, make sure it doesn't say that it requires Thunderbolt, Displayport alt mode, media output, or something similar.
Other than the HDMI out you're probably already using for your monitor, or the monitor having 5.1 audio outs (which I doubt) the only other option I can think of is an external HDMI "extractor" that splits video signal to the monitor and audio to the receiver.
Where you use the SPDIF output to go to the receiver.
What speakers you’re using probably aren’t meant to be used with a TV, but they do exist
I do still have it disabled, mainly because I don't like restarting and have been too lazy to go back in and enable it lol. I'm like 75% sure fTPM wasn't the issue in my case (it's just the first thing I tried), as the USB setting completely solved the issue for me.
I'm not sure how "thunderbolt-y" it really is, but I've been using this USBC->2xHDMI adapter on the 80gbps C port on the motherboard to drive my 2x 1080p@75hz side monitors no problem.
Thank you > looks like this would work for you due to the USB-C port not being display, not sure how much you are looking to spend though.
Website I found addressing your situation https://superuser.com/questions/1696188/can-i-connect-two-monitors-to-my-asus-vivobook-laptop-one-via-hdmi-and-one-via
As a heads up, if all you need is super duper basic output on that 5th monitor, there are extremely cheap USB solutions.
Like everyone and their brother makes stuff like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087PD9KSZ. They're more or less extremely crappy external GPUs. You're not going to be playing any games with it. But if all you need is an extra monitor to display a web browser or some random office type stuff on the 5th monitor while you're doing all the high-power tasks on your other 4, it'll work fine for that and it's a really cheap solution.
P67 has no GPU by design, may I suggest you get a USB to HDMI adapter, and you don't have to undo your setup configuration , look here
>Get a multiple output USB display adapter.
Something like this?
When you have the ALP turned off the displays will show as disconnected. Only the monitor will be used.
How about something unconventional, but still cheap? For $14 you can get a USB to HDMI adapter, so you could use that instead for the VIBS. With the backbox you aren't doing complex scenes, at most it's video playback. Then you aren't using splitters or anything else.
https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B087PD9KSZ/
Would that work for you?
There are adapters that convert HDMI input to DVI out and 3.5mm or RCA audio out. Here’s one.
Something like this should work to give you a second output.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087PD9KSZ/
It's not going to handle like 4k gaming or anything, but should do 1080p office work for a second monitor just fine.
Usb 3 to dual hdmi or dual dp adaptor Eg https://www.amazon.com.au/StarTech-com-USB32HD2-Dual-HDMI-Adapter/dp/B0725K1MHH?th=1&psc=1
What your asking for (ignoring the lvds), are called video wall controllers - here's one that'll do what you want, and they aren't the cheapest things - https://bitvisus.com/products/bit-mse-hdbt-4k60-103hd-1x3-1x2-video-wall-controller-projection-fusion-system
Nb: I'm not endorsing that product or brand, I've never heard of the company before now and I have no idea whether it will be fit for purpose beyond reading the specs and confirming it supports the in/out resolutions you want.
