Oh it gets worse. There's a custom enclosure for Wii Bowling that's custom made for tragedy. ;) https://www.amazon.com/Wii-Bowling-Ball-nintendo/dp/B002GEA4U4

When I worked at Nintendo people thought I was jerking their chain. Until I pulled it up on the web. This was around the time people were breaking their Wii controller straps and wrecking their new 40-60 inch screens with just the controller alone. :D
1) The whole story relation thing is kind of blurry right now, since Los Angeles exists in X's story, but Chronicles didn't take place on Earth. If you want to learn the story, check out Chuggaaconroy's ongoing Let's Play. It'll explain the whole story.
2)X is a sequel, as far as we know. There are certain things that are directly related, and some that are completely unrelated.
3) Chronicles is great, but I would wait for it to be released on N3DS. Wii version goes for ~$100 on Amazon.
4)I'd wager there'll be no amiibo support. Have fun!
I have not. Only because they're missing so many features. I knew I wanted wireless Joycons with rumble (even if it's not HD rumble). I did, however, try out the Kydlan Wired Joycons, which are comparable to the Hori Split Pad Pro but with more features. They were good but, again, they're wired (handheld) only so I returned them.
I bought 4 of these and I think they're on par with the actual pro controller. On sale rn too. https://www.amazon.com/binbok-Controller-Compatible-Wireless-Vibration/dp/B094FVKKJC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=22P3VCQ3D5V5T&keywords=switch+pro+controller&qid=1666721510&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1LjA0IiwicXNhIjoiNC4yOCIsInFzcCI6IjMuODMifQ%3D%3D&sp...
Here's a controller with a turbo setting that's a similar form factor to a regular pro controller, if you're not willing to spend twice this amount on a Lego Technic set
not really, no. I would recommend this pro like controller though. It's the best controller I've ever had actually. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094FVKKJC?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2\_dt\_b\_product\_details
I just received a Binbok controller that I ordered from Amazon. First thing I did was update the firmware as per the instructions and Binbok website. I paired it up to my switch OLED, and only some of the buttons are working. The D-pad completely doesn't work, neither does the A, X, or Y buttons. I was wondering if this unit is defective or if I need to do anything with software to make it work correctly. I also tried pairing it to my Samsung phone, same issue. The box looks like it was dropped pretty hard so I'm kinda leaning towards a defect/damage in shipping. But I don't want to return it if there's something I'm doing wrong. Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Maybe this one? Switch Controller, Switch Pro Controller Compatible with Switch/Switch Lite, Wireless Gamepad with 7 LED Colors/ Motion Control/Dual Vibration/Turbo2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094FVKKJC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_EV6C8KR6D8XMZSX2MQAT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
You could tape down x. Would need to get creative for the keep moving part.
I have one of the old cheap-as-hell third party controllers around and I'm inclined to get rid of it, but I assume the trade-in is less than pocket change. Are the parts compatible with anything - would it be worth scrapping it? Are there some fun mods I can do on a weekend for them or something?
At this point I have two joycon sets, a Pro, and two other controllers - I really have no use for the thing anymore, but disposing of electronics is a pain.
Anyone running these joycons? Thoughts on them?
So i had issues with drift too on 2 sets. One set is manageable is constant cleaning, but i feel your pain.
Most of my gaming is done in handheld so i moved away from joycons upgraded to these (different brand, same concept). They’re larger so they’re more comfortable for long play in handheld more, and so far I’ve had no issues with them and I’ve already put in a couple hundred hours on them where i would’ve experienced drift with a new set of joycons. Downside, no battery and no vibration, but no drift.
I reserve my joycons for games that require them like Mario Party
You could get the Wii physical version if you have that. It's not nearly as expensive as it used to be because of the ports, and Amazon has it for $35 right now.
They're still on Amazon last I checked today.
Actually, looks like this one on Amazon is only $5 more than the selects one
It didn't help that this thing was a legitimate accessory for the Wii.
weird because mine was physical, http://www.amazon.com/XenoBlade-Chronicles-Pc/dp/B007RNWUC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454888314&sr=8-1&keywords=xenoblade+chronicles+wii
29 copies left =)
the 'world' edition is dropping that price little by little as more stock comes in.
the new world edition that plays in NTSC Wii is pretty reasonable:
Not joystick, ball shaped controller.
How does this look? http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Bowling-Ball-Nintendo/dp/B002GEA4U4 (a bit too big, I guess)
I don't know if you can use this with a laptop or if you can map the keys, but I'm sure there would be a (not too difficult) way of making it work.
Google ball controller
for more.
The game is not available on the eshop in NA but you can find it here
too bad xenoblade has a "world" version now, that edition is selling for half the price of the original but is not separated out from searches/values
edit: example here: http://www.amazon.com/XenoBlade-Chronicles-Pc/dp/B007RNWUC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447337775&sr=8-1
You can get a New copy here for $43 right now. http://www.amazon.com/XenoBlade-Chronicles-Pc/dp/B007RNWUC4 It list it as a U.A.E., Saudia Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore product but someone on /r/Xenoblade_Chronicles compared the data on the disk to the North American release and they are the same exact disk.
I saw this a few days ago and I was super confused. Thought it was the PAL or japanese version but it had the T on the cover instead of the pegi 12+ so I figured maybe amazon just used the wrong image. Here's the link to Amazon.ca for any Canadians interested and it's cheaper than buying from Amazon.com after the conversion rate
> Come back to me when chain book stores only stock the latest Steven King new, and everyone other book is used, then you'd have an argument.
I'm back. This is almost universally true. Stores like Half-Price books will put new bestsellers out, but the rest of their stock is used. Amazon is a weird case since it's an online retailer, but their used stock is literally right next to their new stock -- you can compare prices immediately (and -- gasp! -- they still manage to sell new books anyway)
> If you can afford a used game, you can probably afford a new one, or you could, if you could find one.
Ha, this is fucking bullshit. I'm not sure why this lie keeps getting repeated, but the only used games that are $55 are ones that you buy on Day 2 of launch. Past that, they're significantly cheaper. Here is a good example. $45 new. $25 used.
I get taken here. I can probably hunt down a copy on local shelves as well .
It is a limited edition it turns out so yeah it's out of print. There were only so many made in the first place. There are still many copies available.
I'm not so sure that the games will be cheaper, at least not the first-party ones (which are usually the main attraction of a Nintendo system). Nintendo is right up there with Blizzard for almost never reducing the prices of their games. For example, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is still pretty much full price on Amazon, two and a half years after release.
You're lucky you could even get it a month ago; It's out of print. Look how much it is on amazon.
It's all about luck. You have to call all of your local stores to see if they still have any in stock. If not, you can buy them off of Amazon, but since it's past the release date the cheapest one you're going to find is $108.
