Please note that the official Nintendo Switch LAN uses the ASIX AX88179 chipset, which is basically the best one for the Switch to use and the one you should recommend. I would completely ignore the first LAN adapter you linked to, and primarily suggest the second one you linked to, or this one which is a few cents cheaper.
Why are people acting like the Switch not having a dedicated ethernet port is the reason for its online downfall? I figure a majority of players on any console nowadays are using WiFi connections because it's way easier for them - the only people talking about ethernet and ping are us loser fighting game enthusiasts on /r/games. Most people rely on WiFi for everything nowadays.
I do think the armor sets in the game that you need to buy amiibos for (each ranging from $10-$25 for one single one out of dozens) as a kind of EA DLC bullshit.
Want to get Epona as a horse? Buy the ~~$20~~ $30 amiibo and you'll unlock Epona. That other set of armor you saw online and really want? Yeah, that's $20. Other armor set? Yeah, that one is $15.

It's officially licensed by Nintendo. Also, it even recommends you buy one in certain games. When you launch Smash Bros multiplayer it tells you about it. And in the event that you do own a usb to ethernet plug, it does work natively
And before this, you said
>there’s no way to use a Switch wired at all
Stop moving the goalposts. Just admit you were wrong, and appreciate the new information. Goodnight!
I'm not talking about a LAN adapter you can buy that works. I'm talking about the official one on Amazon that i'm sure plenty of people will buy cause they don't know better. Also it's more like $30 bucks than 20 lmao
Really any USB ethernet adapter will work, but if you want to be absolutely 100% sure you can always get the officially licensed one here.
I personally bought an Amazon Basics adapter for less than half the cost, and seems to work fine for the limited online stuff I do with my Switch.
I think it's this one.
I've linked it at Amazon (US), but I've also seen it at local game stores in the UK at least.
Get a wired LAN adapter like this one. That's the way to get the best download speeds while docked, and will help you to get better online play too.
How come nobody has recommended yet to buy the ethernet adapter? Plug it into your Switch, plug it into your router, and voilà, you're not cursed by the abominable Switch wifi chip anymore.

It’s the PowerA amiibo End Level Display! sadly they seem to be quite expensive now. They were very affordable when I bought mine.
Wired > Wifi
It doesnt help that the Switch has a trash Wifi adapter in the first place AND requires the customer to buy an adapter to hardwire.
I have the offical Hori wired adapter and have never had any problems. The first adapter I had was a $10 one and wouldn't stay connected.
I always recommend to get the offical adapter and never look back to Wifi. Nintendo is still trash though for the online situation being like it is.
You will still like Ocarina of Time. The virtual console version is a direct emulation of the original version, however the best version of this game is the 3DS version which has updated graphics and makes use of the touch screen for inventory and map. Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD are also great re-makes for the Wii U. Twilight Princess is currently $40 at Amazon and includes an Amiibo. You could also buy the SNES Link to the Past game on the virtual console for the Wii U. All of these games are timeless classics and you can't really go wrong with any of them.
I have the same NFC mod in the third pic. Got it off Amazon for cheap.
I didn't want to collect amiibos much less the limited release ones for over retail but I really wanted the collectables.
Its super easy to use but it can be tedious rewriting the chip trying to get everything though.
Here is the one I bought, it was only $17 when I bought it, and I personally have had no issues with it so far

If you buy something like this, it'll be guaranteed to work. But if you dig around a bit, you'll likely find much cheaper ones. Also you could buy an access point an get your own little wirless Network started.
dude, you know that Wii Fit Trainer is only £13 on Amazon right now.
get hew now while you can.
Is this the kind of Powersave you mean?. £70 is pretty steep, so I'd rather be absolutely certain this'll work with Switch.
My phone doesn't have NFC support so I can't use regular tags.
> It's absurd that BotW came out on the same platform as SV five years earlier
Try ten years earlier, actually. BOTW was a Wii U game, ported over to the Switch as makeshift launch title. And the Wii U console is from 2012. If you do own a Wii U at home, you can buy the Wii U version of BOTW right now, and surprise surprise, you'll see it looks and runs just as fine on a Wii U. Here's a video comparison.
This is all to say that some of these new Pokemon games run like shit even by 2012's standards (the year Wii U was launched).
> a system where the launch title was something as beautiful as Breath of the Wild
I just want to point out the fact that BOTW is a Wii U game, ported over to the Switch as a makeshift launch title. But if you do own a Wii U at home, then you can buy the Wii U BOTW version right now, and surprise surprise, you'll see it looks and runs just as fine on a Wii U.
Here's a video comparison
As noted, they released it on both Wii U and Switch.

You live your life, but pirating brand new games so quickly after release is one I'm not gonna be able to accept in my own life. For me and my own standards and morals, that includes just to avoid paying. But, as stated, I'm not you, and you are free to live and do as you please.
I got these. They are relatively cheap, easy to install and have a good fit. In the reviews some people got problems with the touch screen apparently but I can't confirm.
This! Ethernet cord is a godsend. I’ve played it with a without it with a pretty noticeable difference. My adapter but I’m sure you can get a cheaper one
[3 Pack] amFilm Screen Protector... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09TPF6NQ8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I like these ones. I have no issues with touch sensitivity using these and I have a 512 version. I'd rather have the extra protection, and it does not distort my image at all.
Yes - this
I have noticed however that you need to press down a tiny bit harder when typing with the on-screen keyboard, otherwise the letter might not register
