I had to buy a prom dress last-minute, as I was asked last week and the event is this weekend. The options for what I was looking for were very limited so I resorted to ordering a dress from Amazon. It came in yesterday, I love it, however I'm concerned it's not fancy enough for prom. I'm not gonna get another dress, but I'd like some opinions on whether or not this dress is prom-y enough. Here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/BaronHong-Womens-Floral-Embroidered-Sleeves/dp/B073SCYHYD/ref=sr_1_25?crid=VOPTHC03U676&dchild=1&keywords=mesh+floral+embroidered+dress&qid=1620364283&sprefix=mesh+floral+embroidered+%2Caps%2C183&sr=8-25
I bought all 3 colors of this dress on Amazon and I am absolutely LIVING in them. I'm doing laundry more often just so I can wear them again. So bloating friendly and lightweight for summer - and with POCKETS! Highly recommend!
I got it on clearance a few months ago, and the listing is now gone completely and I can't find it anywhere else. If I'd known how good I looked in it I would have grabbed the long-sleeved version as well :(
There are a bunch of similar dresses if you search for "embroidered mesh dress" or "embroidered tulle dress" like this one but sadly that exact pattern might be gone...
There's a great $20 dress on Amazon that I used for my Wednesday Addams costume earlier this year! It's comfy and kind of stretchy. Then all you need is the hair and some mary janes and you're set!
I bought my wedding dress on Amazon. Because I was between sizes, I got it in the size up and shrank it down in the dryer until it fit. I'm pretty happy with it considering I paid $30 for it. It did take me a long time to find one of quality.
I thought about getting the same dress! I ended up getting a 50's swing-style dress from Amazon to save on money. If I had gone through with a big wedding, I would have 100% gotten something vintage or vintage reproduction.
I've bought a lot of clothing recently that's "pregnancy friendly" for reasons that sure don't have anything to do with pregnancy 😂 My favorite is this $20 Amazon dress with pockets, which I've now bought in three colors.
If you don't mind not showing a ton of skin, buy this Peter Pan collar dress and then just get the apron and hat separately. Worst case, you can shorten this.
I got the dress of FB marketplace but this was the dress I was aiming for! https://www.amazon.com/Bdcoco-Womens-Evening-Sleeve-Cocktail/dp/B083TB8GWN/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1666214484&refinements=p_89%3ABdcoco&s=apparel&sr=1-1
I think the Amazon dress is nicer!

This was the dress I was planning on wearing: Womens Summer O Neck Fit Flare... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FKJ5RM2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I’m really new to all this stuff so I’m always second guessing my own judgement. I thought it would be cute together but then I remembered the brown/black thing and got paranoid lol
I agree... and it's from Amazon!
Hi everyone — my notifications were turned off and I didn’t see the question. This dress can be found on Amazon for $43ish !!!! There are also a few other choices to choose from.
For sizing reference: I ordered a medium. Fits perfect. (Elastic waste 🙌🏼) but is shear so undergarments should be well thought out.
34-27.5-41 are my measurements
I'm an hourglass too, and my favorite thing right now is structured button-up shirts tucked into a-line or big maxi skirts. Definitely belts, wrap dresses, crop tops over camis. I just got this as well and it's super flattering: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ER7QI8O/
