You can! I didn't pH test at all. I started in a spacebucket (r/spacebuckets) with 4x 23w CFL bulbs. The plant got big enough that I was running out of room. I didn't have a way to hide the smell for the flower period so I decided to get a 4x2 tent with a carbon filter and this light off of Amazon before switching into flower.

That's the qb I'm using, I couldn't find the exact blurple im using I just know it draws about 280 watts from the wall.

Hi - thank you for the reply. Link to my lights (2 of them) are below (1200 watt full spectrum). Here's the basics:

- I'm in Maine. These are indoors with heater keeping temps at 72-75 degrees.

- I've put an oscillating fan on them.

- The lights were set to "veg" (for seedlings), but I've switched on the "bloom" for full spectrum and reduced height from 40" above the plants to around 24" to avoid burning.

I tried having them closer to the plants, as well as having both of them on. However, I think they're too intense as the plants started to burn.

Theres the other one I got. Works amazingly, if you have the money I would look at some spider farmer, or maxxisun. Blurples are a bit irritating after a while
