Good to know, thank you! I originally bought a knock-off core bit for my SDS drill and it did great through brick (I did pre-drill holes in circle first based on YT). Wasn't so great through the block, but was OK. I plan to patch both sides with hydraulic cement.
I guess I'll be going through the block. Any issue with going through the top row?
