I have a circular garden and I love it! A sprinkler in the middle gets everything evenly watered. The center bed is 18 inches deep and houses my herbs and green onions. The outer circle has an entrance opening and is three tier. I have watermelons and sweet potatoes in the lower "arms" since it's shallow enough that weeds blow in there, and the dense leaf cover keeps them out. The second tiers house eggplants and tomatoes with cages. The third tier has (wrecked) kale in it now.
The inner garden is a stainless steel fire pit liner.
The outer nearly a circle/crescent is a bunch of redy gardens. It was tricky getting the layout just right, but I'm an artist and had plenty of time on my hands during lockdown.
Get creative, gardens can be aesthetically pleasing and functional.
I'd I had it to go over again, I'd not have a single tier level, too many weeds blow in it.
