Not to sound snarky but just angle your side mirrors all the way out so that you can see what’s in your blind spot. That’s exactly how you should be using them.
If for whatever reason that is just not an option then I would suggest investing in these little oval stick-on blind spot mirrors
The aftermarket BSM are hundreds of dollars and the little oval mirrors are $8
> I cannot see anyone approaching since I'm forced to face a wall with the way the desks are arranged.
This situation was giving me chronic heartburn. Then I noticed a co-worker had a small convex mirror mounted on her monitor, like at an ATM. I got one too, and it massively improved my life. You can see everything going on behind you, but it's not too in your face.
Something I added on. There like this: https://www.amazon.com/Blind-Spot-Mirror-Convex-Mirrors-GUARANTEED/dp/B0093LYB20
These, in case people want them.
I understand what you're saying. They have things for exactly that purpose so you don't have to mess up your mirrors.
