I don't know what size you're looking for, but I might suggest Tekukor as an anchor for price per quality when looking over Amazon.

I've had success with this brand and the only critique I'd have is that they're 3 ribbons too many for me. There are plenty of other 100 GSM journals over Amazon. If you're willing to pay $20 for a journal, that's gift-grade, and you actually have some really interesting options then.

I've been using the A5 Tekukor and am quite happy with it for build quality, 3 ribbons, pocket, wide elastic band. Tekukor also makes an A6 size which I'm considering.
