I know what you mean about not having a sim ejector when you need one.

I bought this 200 pack from Amazon for $8 (now see a 300 pack for $9) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FZZ2P43.

Then I tossed a hand full of these ejectors at the bottom of all of desk and junk drawers, a few in the glove box of my car, in all of my bags, etc. That should increase the probability of finding a sim ejector next time I can't remember where a put one.
