For what I do, I've liked my cheap Amazon wigs. I think each of mine were between $16 and $30.
I'm just doing it around the house currently so buying those lets me try a lot of styles and colors cheaply.
Once I figure out what I want and get up the nerve to leave the house I'll shell out for a good one, but that's not something I'm ready for yet.
The one in the pic I posted is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y15FYJ4
I didn't trim that one, but they usually have bangs that you are expected to trim to your length. You'll also have to trim out some strays to make them look right too, but it's easy to see which ones just can't be styled into place or are absurdly long.
I do suggest watching youtube videos on how to wear and care for them. They will be for more expensive wigs usually, but it did help.
Seriously recommend a wig. I have this one in two colors and it looks very natural and pretty. And it’s very affordable.

And while you’re totally NTA, wedding planing is terrible and can make even the best person a little crazy. Hopefully this blows over soon.
I can't answer, but I feel you.
So far I've stuck with some fairly cheap Amazon wigs and although some of them are lighter than others because of the length, they are all very warm.
If you look in my post history you can see my longest one that I've kind of fallen in love with. It was very reasonably priced and the weight doesn't bother me so much as the temperature but I've got very little experience with either wigs or naturally long hair.
That wig is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Y15FYJ4
