Two dyslexic kids. Sonday is excellent. I also like Logic of English but Sonday worked better for us. Lexia is an online program that has been amazing, it was recommend to me by a special education teacher. Spelling You See has also been helpful. If dyslexia also affects their math, Math-U-See is awesome. I tried Right Start as well but it was a bit overwhelming.
Pre-decodable books were really helpful for getting them excited about reading and in the habit. The Yak Pack readers were well received. They could color in then and there is writing practice. Also mini-books that color and write in. The one below was fun for them. Coloring and filling in words/letters gives then a pride, that makes them want to read it to others.
