If you don't like the chemical gels & stuff, you can get a simple soap. Like Poraso's shaving soap. should be easy to find on Amazon - many drug stores may also have a simple shaving soap. You'll need a brush & dish, too.
I recommend double-bladed safety razors over the Gillette many bladed razors. Cheaper, too. Particularly over time. You will, however, cut yourself more until you get the hang of it.
There should be plenty of how to shave with a safety razor videos. In fact, I learned from a Youtube video like 15 years ago. P.S. Change blades often - every week. Or even every few days. It's like 5-25 cents a blade, so it costs basically nothing, unlike Gilette madness.
