Is the slight distortion causing the fenders to become non-round or otherwise misshapen?
If they fit and your whole concern is the bike paint, just put on some "helicopter tape" onto the frame, like this: https://www.amazon.com/Scotchgard-Clear-Paint-Protection-48-inches/dp/B004VG88MQ/
You can get some m3 clear wrap and use that.
I use it to protect some parts of bike from scratches.
3M Scotchgard Clear Paint Protection Bulk Film Roll 6-by-48-inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004VG88MQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_2Q9825Z267QVWV9WHHN7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
The bike manual should be able to tell you about all the grease points, but if it's new the shop would've done that already.
There's a bunch, but 3M Scotchgard Tape is a good one.
Or there are pre-cut kits from RideWrap or InvisiFrame or whatever.
3m paint (i get rolls of this one)[https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004VG88MQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1] and install at potential rub areas, have never had issues this way
You could use this: https://www.amazon.com/Scotchgard-Clear-Paint-Protection-48-inches/dp/B004VG88MQ
If you have a matte finish I dont know if it would look ok, or damage the paint.
Just a thought.
