For all those recommending tire damage, let me introduce you to my little friend, the 4-way Valve Stem Tool. You can get one in any place they sell vehicle accessories etc for a few dollars. There are different styles but the one I linked to is the easiest to keep in a pocket (mine hides amongst my keys).
Take the cap off, use the notched end to unscrew the valve about 1 turn, and replace the cap. Until they figure it out, every tire put on that rim will seem to have a slow leak.
