Only one problem, our light is about 4 inches tall and with a shelf height of 12 inches that leaves only 8 inches of space to the “floor”, and the plants will have to be in pots too so that further eats into the distance
That light would almost certainly burn anything you’re trying to grow, even on its lowest power setting at that height.
It’s a great light though, which I would definitely recommend if you have ~14-16 inches of clearance.
My recommendation would be something like this. Good coverage, strong enough lighting at that height, and minimal profile.

10 cm ≈ 0.00091 football fields

I have also thought about using the lamp laying in front of the aquarium stand, though I don't believe it will be quite powerful enough to do what I want. For now I plan to replace the fluorescent lamps with this, which should be a close fit in their stead:
Should I go with these lamps or do something else?
