Here's my Seiko Sport 5 watch visiting Canyonlands in Utah on a road trip. The watch has been a great help checking the time throughout the day. This watch has the original strap, with no modifications to it. This shot was taken from the top of Upheaval Dome at the 2nd observational deck.
If you have any questions about where to buy this watch or questions relating to the watch itself I'll be happy to answer.
Hopefully the shot is good enough, it was hard to focus the camera with all the wind. Sorry if it's hard to see much of the landscape, it could have turned out better.
Again, if you want to know where to get this watch here is a link of it helps you find it.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there any big difference between the Seiko linked above and this one?
Seiko Men's SNZG15
Seiko 5 is a great watch for the money. although some of the cheaper models are only water tight at 30 feet. which sounds deep but can only be worn in the sink, shower and MAYBE a light swim. I would suggest this one, it is rated at 330 feet and you could swim till your fingers are all pruney.
The problem appears to be that you love a watch that's not the Seiko 5. Allow me to remedy this for you - here.
Love my Seiko SNZG15. It's an automatic winder so you might have to adjust it by a couple minutes every few days but it's pretty minor. And I've noticed that if you don't need to the minute accuracy every day, if you leave it for a week or two it balances itself out over time.

It's the one that comes with this watch
I just switched them around
I actually just purchased (still on the first week) a Seiko 5 SNZG15 and absolutely love it so far. It's slightly larger than the SNK809 (42mm for the SNZG15 vs 37mm for the SNK809), so that might factor into your decision. Here's the Amazon link. It's a gorgeous watch, looks even better in person.
what style are you looking for? we can certainly make suggestions based on price and style.
say for example.. my favorite $100 watch... (well, $110)
42mm automatic and nice lume.
It is a great watch. They actually do make it in a 42 mm size, the Seiko Men's SNZG15. For example on amazon here: [link]
In either size, it's a lovely watch. Unbelievable that they can sell it for just 50-100 bucks.
Thanks for this! Ebay was the first place I went once I saw all the online stores were out of stock. Unfortunately, with shipping that would make this watch roughly $330+. I love the watch, but that is double what I originally saw it for.
Now, since I posted this - I saw a similar watch on Amazon for $120. I would have to buy a leather band to slap on it, and it doesn't look quite as sharp. But it's close. :) I may keep looking a little longer for the 715, and then use this one as my fallback!
