Actually this paper concludes that
>If the relevant social distancing guidelines are compromised, the study shows that foreign airborne sneeze and cough droplets could pass through all the masks tested (except for the N-95 mask) even when assuming a 100% snug fit.
The lesson here is to wear a fitted N95/KN95 mask made of meltblown nonwoven fabrics and avoid the "three Cs":
As a part-time healthcare worker I use this KN95 (fit perfectly) and attach an adjustable mask holder ear protector (essential to help alleviate the strain on your ears) and cover my KN95 with a surgical mask. I also have about 50 3M 9211+ but they are a bit too big for me (I have to cover it with a surgical mask since it has a valve).
As a part-time medical assistant/EMT (350+ hours in the last 4 months) I use this KN95 (fit perfectly for me but if you have a big face it might be too small for you) and attach an adjustable mask holder ear protector (essential to help alleviate the strain on your ears) and cover my KN95 with a surgical mask. I also have about 50 3M 9211+ but they are a bit too big for me (I have to cover it with a surgical mask since it has a valve).
I use this Ear Protector Decompression Adjustable Mask Ear Strap for my COVAFLU KN95. It helps create the tight-fitting seal on my face. I work part-time as a medical assistant for a clinic. A risky but rewarding job.
