Yep, here in the US we can still buy that one on amazon. There's also a black and orange one that I fancy.[link]
I'm going to agree with /u/klxwii here. I ordered a two piece strap and a single piece strap back in April after reading all the glowing reviews on the original Etsy page.
I was expecting something close to my stock Citizen strap but what arrived were flimsy pieces of leather that were the same thickness as NATO straps. The straps were so thin, they looked like wide pieces of elastic bands compared to the face of my watch. Furthermore, the excess strap never stayed in the keep since the thinness of the strap provided no traction to stay put.
These straps are by no means horrible but if you're expecting to buy this as a replacement for your current leather band, look elsewhere. If you're looking for an alternative to a NATO band since it's the summer, then this is right up that alley.
A question about watch finishes. I'm looking to buy this Citizen BM8475-26E watch which has a black anodized(?) finish. My job involves alot of manual labor and I'm worried that the finish will scratch off. Anyone have experience with similar watches or situations?
I got this watch from my grandmother for Christmas, and while I love the thought and I like the face of the watch just fine, the faux leather strap really doesn't do it for me.
I'm curious what you guys might recommend for this face? Would a bright orange NATO strap look stupid because the color of the oranges might be just a bit off? What about a black strap with an orange stripe? Or something completely different. Would love to hear your suggestions.
I was need some help deciding on a entry-level skeleton watch.
I did some digging in the side bar but could not find (with the exception of one or two) any good skeleton watches. I've always had a fascination with those style of watches and would like it to be my style of choice for my first watch.
Edit: To give you a better idea, I was wanting a skeleton watch with the characteristics of a dress watch. Slim, shallow, not bulky, dark leather strap, black, mechanical, and with the face missing to see the functioning guts. Imagine this: Citizen Eco-Drive Men's BM8475-26E Stainless Steel Watch with Leather Strap [link] , but with a skeleton face.
This watch would be something that I would wear everyday, with or without dress clothes. And something I thought would be really neat if it was also to be a diver. Sometimes I can be in rather unfavorable conditions (ie water), so for it to be water proof would just be unbelievable.
Thank you guys for your time.
