I've heard people say a lot of good things about Frieling brand presses. They have smaller or larger models. They are fairly expensive.
I kept breaking the glass and finally got a Frieling stainless steel press, which I am very happy with. It's very attractive and the screen doesn't stab me like my old Ikea pot. [link]
if youre going to try to make 3-4 servings at once def go with a french press, cause aeropress is good for single servings...
i would go stainless
if youre spliting it amont other people might as well get stainless
the bodum stainless ones are supposed to be good too
YES to French presses. There's something so relaxing taking 5 minutes every morning to make sure the water is at the perfect temperature and then pressing that plunger down slowly.
But do get a good metal press pot! I went through 3 bodum glass French presses before I bit the bullet and got this one: [link] . After 8 years and 4 continents, my French press is still going strong. I take the plunger apart every day to scrub out the mesh screen and none of the wires have broken or come loose.
I think my French press will outlive me.
