People put the porlex grinder inside of their aeropress but I haven't seen anything like you've described. Build one! Pics when done please! :)
I can recommend this scale:
If you're weighing, the fineness of the salt shouldn't matter. If you're using spoons, you'll get more fine salt into a spoon than you will coarse salt. These are the scales I use for salt and yeast and tiny amounts of things. Cheap and cheerful.
This Scale is only around $7.50 and will help you weigh all of your drugs forever! It's such a tiny investment that could make sure you and your friends don't take to much (or to little).
I don't see a scale in there, so I assume you are using the dipper that it came with.
I would very much recommend an upgrade to a small scale like this. I weighed a bunch of tests with the dipper and they were off by enough that I'm sure you'd see it in your groups.
This is the scale I have also :
Definitely get a scale if you don't have one already. I recommend this one.
It's a good little scale that you can carry around with you. It'll weigh up to 100 grams so wouldn't be very useful for large stuff but if you wanted to check the weight of coins or other small stuff it should do you just fine.
EDIT: Oh, I should add, pick up some silver testing acid. It's a destructive test but if you are really uncomfortable or really unsure then this is definitely the way to find out if it's real or not.
Definitely research ways to tell if something is real or not and never settle for one test. Do three different tests on it to be sure. Best advice though, if your still uncomfortable after the tests or at any point, just walk away.
This is the scale I use.
Cheap, gets the job done.
EDIT: That scale was 15.99 when I got it 2 months ago. Seems to have doubled in price since then. Damn.
Jesus dude quit being cheap with your life and get a balance.
Only $11 to make sure you don't have a heart attack.
1 cup of coffee is around 0.08 grams
Cheap strain guages are pretty good. I have this one: Smart Weigh SWS100 Elite Series Digital Pocket Scale, 100g by 0.01g, Black [link]
It is precise to 0.02 and accurate to 0.05 according to my calibrated weights. I can easily tell a 0.25g difference in shot speed alone on my Classic.
