Is she old? I had an old girl who had one, vet suggested that she had dry eyes and was too old to clean herself properly (build up of porf) OR it was a corneal injury and was a scab. Gave her saline eye drops and it kind of just loosened and fell off after a couple of days. Never bothered her or caused any problens
