I went with these on amazon. They are plug and play with no messages and they are much better than the original bulbs. I didn't have to drill any holes in the bulb caps as I was able to just put all if it in there. 100% recommend and very easy to do. You have to lift the air filter on the passenger side but that just gets pulled up. Overall it is very easy to do.
I've tried a number of LED options in my 2013, and this set have me the best pattern and illumination. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYL1P47?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
You have to fiddle with them and rotate them in their base to get the best results
Not OP, but these are my favorite LED headlights I've tried in my 2013 - the beam is very clean and they are very bright:

And I got my switchbacks and upgraded reverse light from VLEDS.
I have a 2014 with projector bulbs. I put LED bulbs in. They work great. Cutoff line is very distinct and easy to adjust. I don't get flashed by oncoming traffic.
The stock projectors do great with LED bulbs.
I believe these are the ones I have...
Auxito.. it was recommended by users on this subreddit. AUXITO 9012/HIR2 LED Light Bulbs Mini Size 80W 16,000LM Per Pair 500% Brighter CanBus Ready Conversion Bulb Kit, 6500K White, Pack of 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYL1P47/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MAJZ0BQWJTSJHQ1NQRVP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Im not sure but I'm pretty sure the 2020 dodge Challenger and charger use 9012 for the front bulb. Check this out. YES, most of what you said... 2013 premium owner here.
I had to mask all of the damned chrome on the dash because reflected sunlight kept blinding me.
LESS DINGS AND HONKS AND OTHER ALERTS! Or at bare minimum a button to temporarily disable the "hey you left me running" honks.
Better headlights. After a bunch of testing (and pain) with different light options I finally installed these [amazon link] and once adjusted they've been wonderful [Disclaimer, a lot of people say quality control on these is spotty, buyer beware.
Ditch the damned push-button charging door. Fortunately this was done for the Gen2 Volts.
It has the backup camera and the lane assist, crash alert, and whatnot. I bought it at ~98-lifetime mpg and I have raised it to ~110. The original window sticker shows the first owner paid almost $45,000 and it has every option possible. I paid 17% of what the first person paid for it... Yikers.
I bought it through a private party and it has an accident on record (I have a carfax and everything else is in good shape and it is, of course, a clean title), but that was back in 2014 and it was certainly repaired correctly. The only other thing I can think that would lower the value is that it has had 4 owners now (including me). The car went from MN -> WI -> MN -> MN (me) so living in these salty states I was expecting rust but to my surprise, there isn't much. To be clear, it isn't rust-free, the previous owner had a rear brake job done because they rusted up, but under the car is rust free and it has brand new brake rotors and whatnot so nothing out of the usual here in MN. The previous owner also got brand new tires on it and paid for registration just months before I got the car. The dealer said nothing is wrong with it so I'm damn happy... Also, this is my first car and the insurance payment is lower than any other car I looked at and the savings are insane and I didn't even need a loan to purchase it. I'm very pleased with it.
(except for the charge door that decided to start sticking a few days ago but that's being fixed on Tuesday for free)
I got a really good deal on mine as well and I'm just glad it happened right at the perfect time. It was a pretty clear sign when I saw it as I had been looking for one for months and I noticed it the day it was posted.
I'm not exactly getting much electric range in the freezing cold at the moment but it will go up lol. I'm still running 10+kwh on my battery :)
As for mods, I haven't done the DRL hack but I installed LED headlights, LED switchback turn signals (plug & play ones), and I replaced the interior lights with LED's (trunk, rear dome light, front dome light, and plate lights) and I have a used Level 1&2 EVSE on its way and I installed a 240v outlet in the garage. I don't drive in sport mode because it's too much of a hassle and if I just put my accelerator down a little more I get to the same speed and I'm not racing anyone.
If you are looking for bulbs that fit the stock housing, these are good https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WYL1P47/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_X5D2KC2AF1RJBHVM6ZD6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've tried a few LED bulbs on my 2014 trailhawk.
This brand, Auxito, seems to get me the best beam pattern b/c the bulb lets you adjust the angle of the LED board. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WYL1P47/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But to use LED bulbs you need this anti-flicker controller so the computer doesnt turn the bulb off due to a low wattage error. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WLM6LS5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also if your hid bulbs are not working it's might be due to the lack of ballast in most cherokee trims, the only trim that has hids stock is the limited trim AFAIK.

Everyone seems to be raving about these lately. I haven’t tried them yet:
I use these. Good beam pattern and my cutoff is at the exact same point as it was before. Not to mention, I can see at night now. They are also on sale right now :)
