I agree, this lock was not designed to be secure, but it is advertised as secure.

Then put the key on the lock and lock it somewhere too high to reach... Like a cabinet handle or to a fixxed structure in your home that you can't get to until it's unlocked at the time you set.

Have you considered buying a timed padlock and chaining one of your legs to the bed? You could leave enough slack to move freely and maybe walk a short distance, but it wouldn't let you go any further until your wakeup time.

You had to do some math but it was just a timed lock. When we relocked it we just reset the timer for 24 hours.

That way you can lock yourself out for a while. All you'd really need to put in it are the controllers.

Hey, I’m sorry for the delay! Didn’t mean to ignore you or anything, I had a long work shift and was about go in last night as I was replying.

So what I did was purchase the time lock padlock to use with the lockbox I already had. I guess I assumed all clinics made you use one, but I guess not?

As far as the padlock itself, if you go to Amazon and search TIME LOCK PADLOCK, you can find a whole bunch around the $25-30 range, and on up from there if you wanted a nicer one for whatever reason. Here’s an example that looks similar to mine. You can also find them on other websites, and in department stores, but usually Amazon is cheapest and easiest!

As far as the box, if you don’t already have one, you may have to look around online and/or stores in your area. I actually got lucky because my significant other already had one that had a regular small padlock. So I just bought the time lock padlock and used it in place of the normal one that was with the box. Here’s a couple I found on Amazon from $13- $17.
